Days Inn by Wyndham Worthington

This place needs to be shut down. Extremely disgusting and run down. Practically every item was extremely used, dirty, and broken. I could not even deadbolt my door. Flies everywhere. This place is the definition of hole in the wall.

Facility is rundown. The Room was dirty. The Bed rock hard. Garbage outside. Furniture in bad shape.

Never going there again. Not clean pool door was open but no water in it, it's a law suit waiting to happen.

We only stayed one night. We should have left when we pulled into the parking lot and no other vehicles were there. Check in was quick with reservations. Our room was on the main level in a building away from the check in site. The door was not locked at the entrance from the outside. With further inspection we found loose wiring on the door. There was also what appeared to be blood smeared across the glass at eye level on the inside of the exterior door. Our room was the first one on the right. The wall heater was not plugged in so the room was cold and damp smelling. I plugged it in and turned it on so we could warm up. In the bathroom behind the door hung a used towel that had not been removed from the previous guest. And the door frame was peeling off and rusting. We did stay the night. The next night one in our party went back to retire for the evening. Blood still on the door, no one had been into the room to exchange towels or make the beds. Once again it was cold, she checked the heater unit and it was still turned to the on position but not working. She attempted to check the cord and said the outlet sparked and smoked, turning her palm and some fingers black. She notified the front desk. The desk person accused us of unplugging the heater and telling us that they never turn it off. She then took a space heater to the room. We refused to stay another night. So at midnight we packed and departed to find another hotel. This lady at the desk was so rude to us we don’t feel bad telling everyone we meet about our nightmare stay and how we were treated.

First hotel review ever, but want to warn others. Disgusting smell in hallway; fruit flies buzzing all around in lobby and breakfast area; pool was locked; vending machines out of order; junk overflowing trash cans; crabby hosts; beer bottles in parking lot; unsafe shower for handicapped guests; microwave dirty; bad was OK. Stay away -- you've been warned!

Last night (September 8th, 2023), I arrived at the Days Inn at Wyndham Worthington (207 Oxford St, Worthington, MN 56187) and had what can be characterized as a nightmare experience. After 8 hours of traveling to visit my grandmother at the nursing home nearby this hotel, I arrived at the Days Inn with reservation and receipt in-hand and was flat out denied service by the owner of this Days Inn location. The woman who managed this particular location denied my room because of my service dog. I am a disabled veteran with a service dog and chose to book this location because they clearly advertise it as pet friendly. Im confident most Days Inn properties are familiar with the legal provision the hotels are required by law to allow service dogs to accompany their handler anywhere the handler is allowed to go inside the establishment per the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. The owner of this location is grossly unfamiliar with the ADA laws that protect my rights as an owner of a service dog. She demanded I produce copies of my disability records (which I have). However, I politely informed her it is illegal. I find it hard to believe that the owner of a hotel franchise is ignorant regarding on provisions of federal laws. However, I gave her the benefit of doubt and continued to try and resolve the booking. I am not required to disclose private medical information regarding my disability. In accordance with ADA law, a guest with a disability who uses a service animal must be provided the same opportunity to reserve any available room at the hotel as other guests without disabilities. They may not be restricted to “pet-friendly” rooms. Hotels are also not permitted to charge guests for cleaning the hair or dander shed by a service animal. Despite these protective provisions of federal law, I faced an embarrassing and abusive interrogation during the check-in process. In all my years battling the PTSD I received during my combat deployments to Iraq, my furry buddy and I have never been subjected to such vile disdain. After her continued reluctance to honor the reservation, she informed me if a single dog hair was found, I would be charged $100 per night and per dog. This would amount to $100 X 2 nights X 2 dogs. I agreed to this policy and would do my best to remove pet hair. However, I informed her that unreasonable charges would be disputed if she chose to abuse access to my credit line and levy hundreds of dollars worth of charges for a single per hair, I would not pay. It’s simply illegal. I politely informed her I was respectful and articulate and recorded the conversation because I was so astounded by her level of disrespect and the vile disdain shown towards disabled persons. The check-in process was an embarrassing and abusive interrogation. Receptionist is ****** and not helpful when I ask her if I can go to toilet while I was queuing for check in. When I was back, she told my reservation is going to be cancelled by her because I am rude. Absolutely no service and ****** hotel that she looked down Asian despite her background is South Asian

very happy with our stay, we had to change rooms, because our room we got, had not been cleaned, but no big deal, great value, typical breakfast in the office, had to walk outside from our room to get to the office, but was no big deal

I've stayed here a handful of times the past few years on my way to visit family in central Minnesota. I won't hesitate to stay again. Yes, it is basic but that's all I need. It's always been clean, the proprietor is friendly, and the beds are comfortable.
