Donghu Hotel, also known as ”Hubei Zhongnanhai”, is a hotel where Chairman Mao stayed 48 times. I came to Wuhan during the National Day holiday and specially chose to experience this state guesthouse. The scenery of the hotel is picturesque. Walking along the greenway along the lake in the hotel, I feel full of happiness. Tingtao Building has new facilities, close to the East Gate, and very close to the Provincial Museum and Art Museum. Nanshan Yisuo has more heritage, but the facilities are older. Staying in a hotel always has new facilities and a better experience. Although the hotel is large, it is very convenient to travel. You can ask the staff to call an electric car and come and go freely. When checking in, I made an appointment for the explanation of Chairman Mao’s former residence. Before the visit, I had to deposit my mobile phone. At the entrance, there was a white marble statue of Chairman Mao, which was very charming. Everyone had to bow three times first. The tour guide Zhou Baixue took everyone to visit the exhibition and saw the room where Chairman Mao had lived before. The explanation was very detailed. At the end, he also organized everyone to read ”Shui Tiao Ge Tou Swimming” collectively, which was a very meaningful experience. The biggest shortcoming of the hotel is the indifference of the staff and the average quality of the hotel breakfast, which needs to be improved.

I came to Wuhan for a trip during the National Day holiday, and I found this treasure hotel. I have to write a review: 1. Because we drove 4 hours to Wuhan with the elderly and children, it was hard on the road, so we called the front desk in advance to inquire whether we could check in early. The front desk patiently helped me find out that 5 rooms had been checked out, and told us that we could check in early around 12 o'clock. Compared with those cold and regular hotels that told us to check in after 2 o'clock, the reply of this hotel made people feel more humane. 2. The guy who checked in at the front desk was handsome and gentle. He helped us upgrade the room considerately, and specially arranged the room for the elderly on the quiet side away from the road. 3. The room is clean, sanitary, and quiet. It is very comfortable to live in. After a day of shopping, you can have a good sleep when you return to the hotel. 4. There are free drinks in the room, which the children like very much. 5. The butler WeChat communication is convenient, and problems can be solved in time. The children like the robot service very much. 6. The breakfast is rich and varied. The children especially like beef noodles. The beef is very big and they are very satisfied with it. 7. Because it is a self-driving tour, it is very convenient to drive to the surrounding scenic spots, especially during the National Day, there was no long traffic jam, which made this trip very pleasant. 8. Compared with the hotels that cost thousands of yuan during the National Day, I was surprised to be able to stay in such a high-quality hotel for more than 400 yuan! It is simply cheap and good value for money! Choosing a satisfactory hotel for travel will make the whole trip more perfect, so I strongly recommend this hotel, which is very cost-effective!

Very convenient location for travelling. Staff is kind and helpful. Room are sufficiently clean. I often come to this hotel and I have never bean disappointed. Breakfast can be improved but is still sufficient. I recommend it.

What a fabulous quirky boutique type hotel in a great location for exploring Hankou Bund Cultural Area, perfect spot for a stroll along the river park, the bund, the back streets and main stream shopping. Our room overlooked the Yangtze River so we had an amazing light show along the river bank every night till 10pm. The room was clean and bed large and comfortable, and we were happy for the bathtub (along with separate shower). Staff were amazing and despite our lack of Chinese they were very helpful and would always find us an English speaker if needed. Breakfast was wholesome and varied, with anything from Pastries to Re Gan Mian. The hotel had lots of facilities that we made use of, from the a fully kitted out laundry room (great as we'd been travelling a bit), gym and a fab rooftop bar with terrace. All round great experience and good value.

During the National Day holiday, I took my parents and children on a cruise to visit the Three Gorges. The first stop was Wuhan, and then I took the boat from Wuhan to Yichang. Before leaving, I compared many hotels in terms of location, hotel scenery, service and other aspects. I thought that most of the branded five-star hotels are similar but less interesting, so this time I finally chose the Howard Johnson Pearl Hotel, which has Wuhan's local characteristics. Checking in late is indeed a very wise choice. The hotel's location is very advantageous. From the room, you can see the Dujiang Tower and the Flood Monument with Chairman Mao's inscription in front of you. The lights on the Wuhan River are beautiful. The hotel is very convenient to everywhere. My son and I were tired of walking around Jianghanguan and had to wait in line for a taxi during peak hours. We took the bus directly to the hotel downstairs for only 1 yuan and only took a few minutes. After dinner, it only takes a few minutes to walk from the hotel to the river bank opposite. It is so pleasant to be surrounded by the river and the wind. The breakfast at the hotel was quite satisfactory. The hot dry noodles tasted good, but the lady who made the hot dry noodles was a bit stiff. The layout of the room is spacious, reasonable and comfortable, and the view is excellent. Sitting by the window and looking far into the distance is what you want. The front desk service is warm and meticulous, which doubles your favorability. I really like the unique architectural appearance of the hotel. A pearl is particularly dazzling at night. You can also take the hotel sightseeing elevator from the 1st floor to the 40th floor, where you can gradually see the entire city, which is very interesting. If you come to Wuhan for the first time, you will definitely not be disappointed if you can stay at Howard Johnson Pearl Hotel.

Location: Very good. The Jianghan Customs and the pedestrian street are right at the door, and it is also very close to the river beach. It takes about ten minutes to walk, and another quarter of an hour to reach Lihuangpi Road. There are old buildings along the way, and you can take a taxi back. Room type: The hotel I checked into yesterday, the front desk upgraded the room. The difference between the executive room and the ordinary room is not only the area, but mainly whether the window faces the inner courtyard or the pedestrian street. But the disadvantage of facing the pedestrian street is that the loudspeakers of the merchants downstairs are a bit noisy. This is not the hotel's problem, but it reminds guests who need quiet. If the budget is sufficient, it is recommended to book their most expensive room. Service: From the baggage boy to the front desk, etc., every staff member I met is very good. For example, if you pack up the dishes that you can't finish, they will take the initiative to help put them in the hotel's large refrigerator for storage. Ask about nearby attractions and food, and they are also very patient to introduce. Details: The water and tea bags in the room are very good, and the slippers are very comfortable. The curtains, toilets, etc. are all smart models. The message wall in the lobby is very loving. Surprise: Because of the cocktails given by the hotel at the rooftop lounge, I found that the view on the top floor is unbeatable; cheongsams can be borrowed in the lobby for 99 yuan for three hours, and earrings and bags are provided free of charge; the corridors, lobby and foyer are very photogenic. The souvenirs given are also very thoughtful, but it’s a pity that the previous green bamboo bag is no longer available. Special thanks to the staff Xiao Chen mm. Advantages: service, environment, location, breakfast. The hotel has 56 floors, perfect, with a great view from above, and a beautiful light show at night. The room we were given was a bit small. When I booked it, I saw a sofa and a small table. I wanted to eat while enjoying the view, but the room we were given only had a recliner, so we took the takeaway to the restaurant. The view in the restaurant is unbeatable, better than the room, and the restaurant only provides breakfast, so you can come down and use it at other times. This is very user-friendly. There is also a reading place where we took the children to do homework. There were few people and it was very quiet. I would recommend it to my family and friends. There is a subway station right outside the hotel, and Hanjiang Road is right at the door of the hotel. This location and such hardware facilities are really perfect!

The hotel room is very large, clean and sanitary, the service is thoughtful and full of details. My husband and I did not have breakfast in the morning, and the housekeeper Xiaohui put 2 bottles of milk at the door, which is very good. I recommend staying here. Wuhan is delicious! !

We had a great time at this hotel. Located central to everything. Desk staff were nice and housekeeping did an excellent job of taking care of and cleaning the room daily. It’s only a 2 minute walk to the famous pedestrian street. We never ate at the hotel because food services by the hundreds were just across the street. Very happy with our stay here and would return again in the future. Wonderful.
