Top Hotel Amberger

The hotel front desk staff are very kind and incredibly helpful. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to center of the old town. So the location was great. The room was hot and I didn’t find a way to regulate the heat but I opened the window and all was well. I would rate this a 3 star hotel, the floors are uneven, which creates a 1/2” small riser both to the bathroom and out the door. And maybe because I am an American, lordy the pillows are loose and mushy…. The breakfast buffet was very nice. The place was clean, I thought it was a non-smoking hotel but someone’s smoking there and I walked into the elevator with a very strong smoke smell. All in all, a decent place with lovely and caring employees.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Room wise is very clean and decent size, however there is no kettle, no cups and glasses, no drinking water… basically you can make yourself a hot drink inside the room as these seemingly basic things are just not being provided. The rest of others you will need to purchase from the counter. Breakfast was nice and value for the money.

A hotel that suits your needs. It’s close to the city with restaurants, bars and shopping and places for breakfast if you don’t want to try the hotel breakfast (we didn’t). We had a small room facing the backstreet which was ok as it was fairly quiet. But when staff was outside smoking the smoke/smell reached our room on the first floor which was a bit annoying as we had to keep the windows open (the aircon was a standalone ventilator 😳). Otherwise all was fine and we slept well (nice beds).

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Great property and extremely friendly staff. I would 100% stay here again.
