The place is not bad per se. The rooms are kept tidy and it has all the amenities a traveller needs. The big problem with the place is, even though it is advertised as non-smoking, they don't enforce the non-smoking policy. There was a very thick continuous smoke smell coming into our room through the toilet. However, the service is good, they added an air purifier to our room which saved us of the sandstorm that was falling upon the city during our stay. 塞翁失马焉知非福

I still felt a little worried and was still considering changing hotels. I had called to confirm that there was a room. After lunch, I went to the front desk again to ask. There were several service staff. Everyone was very enthusiastic. Song Dandan impressed me. First of all, she made me feel very kind, listened to my needs patiently, and made timely adjustments. My grandmother and two Australian children liked the current room very much. I will come again next time. Service: The staff of the entire hotel were all smiling, and the three things they were most satisfied with were: 1. Song Dandan's excellent service. 2. The housekeeping department took my mother to patiently find the medicine box, and the front desk manager knew and apologized when I checked out. 3. I ordered takeout in the evening and it was delivered to my room.

The location is excellent and the transportation is convenient. It only takes 2 minutes to walk to the No. 5.6 subway station. I asked the guy at the front desk about the travel route, and Xiao Li helped introduce the travel route to the scenic spots. It is directly connected to the subway. The hotel has complete facilities, the room is large and the stay is very comfortable. The staff service is very good, very proactive and enthusiastic. The overall room is spacious and the facilities are complete. It is not noisy. It is very comfortable. There is no problem. Self-check-in and the landlord responds in a timely manner. We had a very pleasant stay at Novotel. The location was fantastic with easy access to the MRT and also to the key sights! While we had a small encounter with one of the front desk staff on the morning when we had to go off early on a day trip to Luoyang, the staff have been hospitable and would go out of their way to help us. We are particularly happy with the lady in the restaurant and the staff within the restaurant. Always ready with a smile! Would like to give an excellent review for 小任, the housekeeping staff who cleaned our rooms daily! There was an evening when we returned to find that she had taken the initiative to wash my socks for me. I was pleasantly shocked by the gesture! There was no need for her to do so, yet, she went out of her way to make us feel at home! Thank you Novotel! We would definitely choose to stay with you again!

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for three nights. We booked a standard room which was very affordable, and the hotel is located in the city centre, great location! There is a subway station just right next to the hotel so that’s very convenient as traffic in Xi’an is terrible! Upon check-in, a member of staff helped us and he was very friendly, he spoke English very well and that was helpful for us. Apparently the room that booked isn’t available so they upgraded us to a suite which was sweet! The room was humongous! It was very fancy, however I think the hotel is quite old, and some interior needs changing. We had a massive bed, maybe a California king bed? Very comfy bed! We had afternoon tea for two and a happy hour in the evening. (Not our favourite but it was a good deal). The gym was good too, they have some basic equipment and we were happy with it. The swimming pool was full of children so we didn’t use it, as we wanted peace and quiet. This is the most exciting part! On our final night, we got back quite late from exploring Xi’an and when we entered our room, it was pretty dark. No electricity. 🤣 I was super exhausted and I wanted to have a bath and just relax. But no can do. We had to go downstairs and update staff about the situation. We were told to wait downstairs, they gave us some water and we sat for about 15 minutes or so. And then a staff came to see us with a new set of key cards. She apologized to us for the inconvenience, like many times! We told her it wasn’t their fault but I think they really need some renovation haha (I didn’t say that to her), so she said we will be moved to a different room, from 20th floor to 28th floor. It sounded like we just got upgraded again! Haha. So we headed up to our new room, I opened the doors and wow! It was a 2-floor suite! It was amazing! I wanted to live in it haha. We were very exhausted and tired but it was a very sweet experience to have! My favourite was the bathroom as we had double sinks! (Yup that’s my thing) Overall, our stay in this hotel has been amazing. (Apart from the electricity problem) We liked the staff best, they were very helpful and kind to us. Everyone who worked in this hotel has been superb! And lastly, the manager gave us 20% discount as a compensation for the electricity incident. I would recommend this hotel to others due to its great location and incredibly helpful staff.
