Hotel is well situated at the wharf with a few minutes away from many busses that are able to take you to the various attractions.
Front desk staff was friendly and helped where asked.
Room was clean and also cleaned every day.However the hotel needs some updates.
View of wharf was beautiful at night and it was a novelty to be able to enjoy the city and wharf skyline in its full glory while having a nice bath.
Did not take breakfast at the hotel and this would be my only negative point in that the eating area seemed to be dirty all the time.
Other than that it was a good experience.

It is super convenient to cross Gulangyu Island very close to the Yuyu Pier. The hotel is very safe and assured in a super large community (future coast). I am the kind of person who can't sleep at night in an unsafe environment, but the location of this hotel is very good. I feel relieved to sleep until dawn, comfortable! It is highly recommended that girls live here, there are everything in the community, snacks, shopping malls. Supermarkets and fruit shops are available. Convenient By the way, the boss is super enthusiastic and nice, the front desk lady sister and brother are also very good, next time I bring my son to play and live here~đ

The transportation around the hotel is very convenient, and the lobby is beautiful beyond the price level. The room is very tidy, decorated in light colors, with free WIFI, a large desk, and a full-length mirror in the room, which is very practical. In addition, the room rate includes a double breakfast set, which has many varieties. I ordered a milk when I checked in, and seeing that there were two of us, they took the initiative to send an extra one, which was very heartwarming. In summary, the cost-effectiveness is super high, and I will choose it again next time I come to Xiamen.

Advantages 1. It is very close to the Haicang Horse Racing venue, and you can also delay check-out until 2 o'clock. It is very friendly to the players.
Advantage 2. You can collect packages on your behalf, and Taobao can send them to the hotel without any problem.
Advantage 3. The lobby is very safe with security guards guarding it.
Disadvantages 1. There are five or six steps from the lobby on the first floor to the elevator entrance. Although there is a ramp next to it, luggage and strollers cannot go up. However, the security sister will be very enthusiastic to help. Give her another thumbs up; the other third floor exit At the elevator entrance, there is another step (as shown in the photo), and there is no ramp.
Disadvantage 2. The elevator is controlled and the delivery person cannot deliver the meal upstairs. He has to go down to the lobby to pick it up. This is very unfriendly to us with children.

This experience in Zengcuo'an's homestay is beyond imagination! The location of the homestay is excellent, close to the sea, and you can feel the caress of the sea breeze and the low sound of the waves within a few minutes' walk. Entering the room, the clean and tidy environment makes people feel happy. Every corner is spotless, the bed is soft and comfortable, making people sleep well all night. The sanitary facilities are very complete, the shower water temperature is just right, the toilet is clean and odorless, the toiletries are all available, and the quality is excellent.

Overall the room is nice but guess I had high expectations as it was written it's an international hotel. The breakfast was all Chinese nothing catered for the other customers, so much improvement is needed there. Also non of the front desk or anyone I came across in the hotel speaks English........... One good thing is the hotel is not far from the airport and the nearest subway station and bus stop is justt by the hotel. One does not need to walk far.

I recently stayed at the New East China Hotel during a transit through Xiamen and found it to be a solid choice for a short stay. The rooms are basic but clean, which met my needs perfectly. Check-in was very quick and efficient, which was appreciated after a long flight.
Despite the hotelâs proximity to the airport, I was pleasantly surprised that there was no noise at all, making for a restful night. The convenience of the hotelâs pick-up and drop-off service to and from the airport was a major plus, adding to the stress-free experience.
If you want to venture into town or visit Walking Street, itâs easy to get a Didi from the hotel. Given its convenience and overall good service, Iâll definitely consider staying here again the next time I need to transit through Xiamen.

AAnonymous UserYou can overlook the sea view. The room is very new and well-equipped. It is equipped with a washing machine and laundry beads, which is very convenient. The clothes are dried overnight, so you don't have to worry about the clothes not being dried when you check out the next day. There is a supermarket and McDonald's downstairs, which is very convenient!

He was amazingly polite and I truly appreciated his effort to make our stay as comfortable as can be.
The hotel is amongst the best in the region and I was given a room with sea view.
Highly recommend this hotel to those who love a great view and impeccable service.

GGuest UserAt first, we were disappointed because they put us into a small room that we felt was not worth the price we paid for. However, the next day they upgraded our room into a nice one with a separate toilet and shower area. There were wide windows and the view was the quiet road below and two small mountains in the distance. Not bad eh! This was the time we started feeling comfortable and relaxed in our 4 nights of stay here. The bed and pillows were firm and very good to sleep in. Good for relaxing after a long day of touring or working. There was a small dining table as well as some space or area to work and put your other stuff. The toilet is fully automated so it was really comfortable to use. The staff in general were accommodating and the female receptionist manning the lobby was always enthusiastic and helpful. On the other hand, location is far from downtown so it might cost you a bit more if you take the didi often. Also, breakfast fare was sparse when we were there, probably because it was still the tourist season. Not sure though but for whatever reason, when we got to the breakfast nook at around 8am, most of the food was gone. We had to wait for about 30 min for some trays to be refilled with food while the rest simply remained empty. If you donât like local breakfast, then this hotelâs breakfast is not for you. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for us.

JJwGreat location. A little noisy as the room was facing the back road and the toilet windows cannot be closed. Escalators didn't work all the time. Wifi works for foreigner as there's an alternative way to login with the room number. We did not want housekeeping so they left water outside our door everyday.

Staff at the hotel are attentive and conscientious, however overly zealous about upselling the benefits of the club lounge rooms. Club lounge is small, doesnât have much to offer by way of snacks. Very limited food options at breakfast. Doesnât open of offer anything around lunchtime and has limited options for dinner. Ok if youâre a drinker, but range of spirits is small.
Didnât feel I received value for money for the upgrade. My clients and I ended up eating at the main restaurant for breakfast, which was not included in the club price?
Also, the views from the club floor rooms were not river views- we overlooked the noisy bar street at the building across the road.
Had a problem getting fruit to my room over my 4 day stay, so had to go out and buy Bananas for myself.
Another issues was that despite leaving the room available and arranging with reception for housekeeping to clean the room in time for me to have a video conference call without interruptions, they did not and so, i was interrupted during my call and had to repeatedly explain and deal with housekeeping insisting on coming in!
The last straw for me was when reception neglected to extend my stay as requested the day before and so I had issues with my card and with checking in again, so I simply booked into another, more welcoming hotel.
Overall, the hotel is professional and well managed, but they do seem to have some problems co-ordinating back of house teams.

If the floor is higher, the view will be better. The room is not very new, some are old. The refrigerator is not cooling. We have a total of 2 families, with children, we are satisfied. Awen is very warm and the service is very good.

GGuest UserMy elderly mom and I visited Xiamen for a 5D4N private trip. Booked Millennium Harbourview Hotel again on the 3rd and 4th day stay due to the superb and convenient location.
When we reached the hotel around 4 pm, we were greeted by a hotel staff wearing a black coat. He helped us to push our luggage bags from the main entrance until our room. We really appreciate his kindness.
From the hotel, turn right and walk along the road until you cross the traffic light and reach the end, turn right again until you reach Heping Wharf to onboard the ship for Lujiang night tour. 20 mins walk. There's 2 sessions available, 7.30 pm & 8 pm. It cost RMB109 perpax. The night tour took around 1 hour to finish.
The sky in Xiamen started to get bright at 5 am. If you can wake up early, this is the best time to go out and walk around the hotel surrounding area. It's cool and windy. It's a good time to take photos as only a few people and cars are on the street. It's very peaceful and safe to walk along the road. We didn't see any cat, dog, or birds on the street.
A 30 mins walk to Haibin Park to see the sea and Gulangyu Island. You may also rent a bicycle that is available at the roadside in front of the hotel.
There's many local food roadside stalls available in front of the hospital beside the hotel.
We requested the hotel staff to arrange a taxi to send us to airport T3 during checkout. The whole process took around 7 mins, from checkout until we board the taxi. We really appreciate the front door staff dressed in red uniform to call for the taxi and helped us to upload our luggage bags in the car. The journey to the airport took around 30 mins and cost us RMB50.
I hope the hotel management can consider changing the room mattress as it's too old. The pillow is too flat. Good for sleep but not for resting. The room is very clean, but the wooden headboard frame was sticky when i lay my head on it. The bathroom rain shower head needs a fix as cold water dripping down when i'm using the handheld showerhead.

GGuest UserReally grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier?
Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish.
I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view.
Room was clean and nice. Slippers given.
Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them.
The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider.
The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night.
Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants.
The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask.
