Kimpton Virgilio

Excellent stay here. You couldn’t ask for a better location in Polanco. It’s in the heart of the neighborhood surrounded by restaurants and only steps from Parque Lincoln. The hotel is in a renovated apartment building, and they did an outstanding job. Great attention to detail and hotel is beautiful, modern and comfortable. Besides the location, the highlight of this hotel is its personalized and warm service. Angel the concierge is exceptional and Rodrigo at the front desk was most welcoming and helpful. A couple of negatives were the mattresses….way too soft with a lot of padding along with a very spartan gym….they could add some more equipment. Other than that, I have only good things to say about Kimpton Virgilio.

I don’t typically leave reviews but our stay at the Kimpton Virgilio was exceptional. The staff, the room, the restaurant were all amazing. It was super convenient for us to leave our bags there beforehand and afterwards, which was great while we explored the city. We also were running the Mexico City Marathon and they were extremely helpful with providing us advice on getting there at 5am in the morning. I would like to call out Rodrigo, the front desk who was extremely helpful throughout our stay. If you’re staying in Mexico City, I could not recommend the Kimpton more.

Amazing location and perfect neighborhood feel. Everything walkable in Polanco. But what really elevates this hotel from others is the staff. Everyone, and I mean everyone, worked exceptionally hard to make sure our visit was nothing short of spectacular! A special shout out to Angel—perfect concierge!!

Great location and great customer service . The team at the Kimpton is great and a shoutout to Angel Munoz for going above and beyond to deliver a great customer experience. We will definitely be back and will highly recommend to friends and family.

My friend and I stayed here for girls weekend and couldn’t have been happier! If you love boutique hotels, in the perfect location, this one is checks all the boxes. The staff is super attentive and speaks English well. Their restaurant serves high quality food and the rooftop bar/patio is lovely to begin or end an evening. If you need any recommendations of what to do or where to go, definitely ask Angel (he was very helpful with information and restaurant reservations). We will be back soon!

This is really a gem of a small hotel in a fantastic location with top-notch service. Ángel and his team are super friendly and took care of every need we had and then some. The rooms are soundproof, so you do not hear any traffic outside and the food and drinks were excellent. It has the only rooftop restaurant/lounge that we know of in Polanco with a wonderful heated pool. We can’t say enough good things about this place, can’t wait to return for another stay.

We had a wonderful stay for our anniversary at the Kimpton Virgilio in Mexico City. From our arrival, the staff (Sarahi at front desk, Angel the chief concierge) welcomed us with drinks and were very friendly. Angel went above and beyond and self delivered a flower arrangement to our room and a dessert on the day of our anniversary. He helped me coordinate the surprise and my partner and I were very pleased. The Polanco neighborhood is safe and full of restaurants to choose from. It’s in a great location to visit the castle of Chapultepec and a walking distance to the shops and the Soumaya Museum.
