Tui Magic Life Bodrum - Adults Only

Overall good hotel but there were some nuances which I wish I knew before booking it and also we had one unpleasant incident which spoiled all our good impression about this hotel: Air conditioner in our room didn't work, outside was +30 and inside was +29. We asked to fix it several times but it didn't help. Reception offered us to move to room for disabled people (with 2 beds instead of one for a couple, small shower with handrails, etc). Only after we complained to our tour agency, we could finally get a normal room. And only after we moved there, we noticed that first room had a piece of wood instead of a shower door, safe which didn't close from the first time and showed error, there was no bathrobe in the first room, etc. Things I wish I knew before and which I couldn't find among all these excited positive reviews about this hotel: There is only a liquid soap dispenser in the bathroom, like in a public toilet. No any shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, cotton pads/buds. First time I saw it in a 5 star hotel. Also there is no iron in the room and they don't provide it even by request cause some time ago it caused fire in the hotel. Be careful at the sea - there is some concrete platform across the entire width of the sea not so deeply so my boyfriend scratched his feet. It would be good if hotel put some warning sign about it. Besides that, food was awesome, for breakfast and dinner there was a very great choice and everything was very tasty, even sushi. Unfortunately, lunch is served only in beach restaurant and food options were limited. Hotel design is also great, I liked it very much. And yes, you can always find an empty lounge beds on the beach but the best places upper the sea with sea view are always booked, even at 07:30 in the morning. We also loved very much the Adults Only concept. It was quite and peaceful in the hotel. We liked violin show at the sunset and disco after it but unfortunately other evening shows and events were quite boring for us.

Still got today to go, but writing the review now 4/7/24. The holiday has been fantastic, amazing variety of food so much to choose from definitely didn't get bored. The staff r excellent really friendly and go out their way to help u and get u what u need, our waiter man and lady in the morning and evening were fantastic, knew exactly what drinks we wanted without asking( sorry can't remember their names) we also had little Dave the cat (we called him that) come see us every morning for breakfast and at dinner, he'd sit with us for a bit meowing away lol, loved it. Got a day bed by the beach for a day which was fantastic. The only thing we would say would be nice to have a bit brighter lighting in the bedroom of an evening as my partner struggled to do her makeup in the dimmer light. Other than that we'd definitely say it's one of the best holidays we've had in the last few years. Would definitely recommend to others and even return ourselves. First time ive felt compelled to leave a review. Booked a short 4 day trip to this hotel and paid to upgrade to a ‘suite’ The room was different to the photos, floor hadnt been cleaned or mopped and the whirlpool bath was leaking. Dried spillages on furniture and sofa dirty. Ended up using a hand towel to clean the surfaces. Asked for the room to be mopped, left for the day, returned and room still hadnt been mopped even though housekeeping had been to change the bedding. Hotel supplies no irons??? You have to pay for pressing services. You can book cabanas on the beach. on check in i asked how we book.. they said on the app. on the app you can only reserve 24 hours prior. so you have to reserve 10am the day you want to book. set alarm for 10am. no beds. how ? went to guest services and they told me the beds had been reserved. i said how if you can only book via the app 24 hours before. (i went to guest services at 10.04am) they said oh if you come to guest services you can book anytime any day. hhahahahaha. so what is the point of the app saying 24 hours before? if the beds are already gone? and why didnt anyone tell us this on check in? why is this information nowhere? all around the hotel there are qr codes for the cabana booking which only mention booking via the app. hotel is adults only but there are kids fyi. the cocktails / drinks are really quite bad and limited choice. The food is hit and miss had amazing fried rice and beef at the buffet but then the spaghetti bolognese tasted like water…. and the menus at the speciality restaurants are quite bad just seem like the same stuff as the buffet. you have to pay for the beach house restaurant but that menu looks amazing. The staff have been great always saying hello etc and i havent felt uncomfortable or unwelcome during the trip. but id never stay here again a complete waste of money for me. ‘magic life’ hotels are what they are because of the amenities. but there are really not many. the cabanas sold the hotel to me for a nice day on the beach and cant even use them, its not first come first serve its whoever can befriend guest services. sunbeds around the hotel pools get reserved as early as 6am with towels so me and my partner are forced to have nowhere to go and relax during the day !
