I stay here once a year, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the first time I've posted a review in a while. I stayed in a deluxe triple room with my family of four (two adults, one junior high school student, and one elementary school student) once each in February and March. The room was spacious enough, although one person had an extra bed, and the facilities were not extravagant, so they were at the level of a business hotel. It was well-cleaned, and I have no complaints considering that I could spend a comfortable time in Okushiga. The large public bath is not a hot spring, but I was able to bathe comfortably in the boiled natural water. For dinner, we had Japanese and Western food, and the Western food was delicious, while the Japanese food left a little to be desired. In particular, the Japanese food for children was simply a reduction in the number of dishes for adults, and I think that if they could serve a few more children's menu items, the satisfaction level would increase. In addition, the staff are divided into older and younger staff, and if the overall customer service level were to improve a little, it would be a more memorable stay. Breakfast is a buffet. It may be said that it is at the level of a business hotel in the city. I think that the satisfaction level would increase if they served a few more delicious main dishes. The enoki yogurt was delicious. In conclusion, it was a satisfying stay as a ski resort. I heard in the news that they are aiming to become a year-round resort, and I think that if they improve the food and hospitality level, the satisfaction level will increase throughout the year. Some of the hardware is also aging, so I hope that they will be improved in the future, including renovations.
