町も昭和の風情があり私達のような中年には合っています。滝のやさんはご夫婦でやっておられ家族的な良い宿でした。いろいろとご無理を聞いてくださりありがとうございました。
待望の只見線にも乗車出来ました。全線が開通する今秋にまた泊まりに行きたいと思います。

Comfortable and great value hotel in a good location close to the markets, sake breweries and restaurants. Within an easy walk to the station. Bathroom was old but clean and fully functional. Staff were friendly and helpful particularly the young lady. Free breakfast was buffet and consisted of boiled eggs, toast and croissants with jam. Lack of coffee and milk in the rooms however you could help yourself to coffee in the lobby.

This four-story hotel in Aizu Yanaizu Onsen offers both meals and lodging. The hot spring is on the fourth floor, and there is also a private open-air rooftop bath. The spring water flows directly from the source, and the salty spring water is very warm. This time I chose the lodging plan. There is only one place in Yanaizu where you can eat dinner, but it was closed on this day. The inn will make you a lunch box if you ask, but since I had eaten a lot at lunch, I made do with cup noodles sold at the inn. Beer and alcohol are also sold in the lobby. There is a convenience store nearby, but it closes at 4 p.m., so there were no stores open within walking distance. Because of the location, if you are staying overnight, you will need to prepare food and drinks in advance. There is an electric kettle and a microwave in the hallway of the guest rooms. For breakfast, there is a handmade bakery nearby that is open early in the morning, so I recommend using it. It seems that not many people stay along the Tadami Line, but it is a good hot spring, so it is a good idea to stay at a rustic inn.
