Cockroaches everywhere. The air conditioner cannot be adjusted. No proper cover provided so I was freezing. !

Room is damp and has small cockroaches, has mold smell inside the room, service is not very good, insufficient amenities, need to renew room card every day in reception without informing firsthand

The service ****** because my refund was denied I will not book that hotel again.

It is good value for money and the service is also good.
Plus, the Yangon cityscape view is really nice. Good free breakfast available. Watch out for crows while eating breakfast. I'm stealing

Okay I don't usually send reviews but, Gemsy is one of the best value places to stay in Yangon and totally underrated - 23 year YGN vet here. Under 2 year old hotel so the photos are 100% accurate. Stayed here for 7 weeks in May/June 2020 in different rooms including their main royal gemsy, all top notch, even gave me a tour of other options which are all as pic showed. Location not downtown (so maybe not perfect for some), but supermarket a 1min walk away, street food and many restaurants under 3min walk, also on main bus route if wanting to travel as a local further, ofc taxi easy via grab. On staff can only say great, GM Ma Irene perfect, Ma Phyu at reception awesome, other staff also all wearing masks so mmmm names missing but all great and chatty. Simply no negative issues, wish they opened buffet brekkie, but understand during covid, though they will deliver to your room free. Can say much more, but a perfect spot to stay in YGN for sure.

Really good hotel. One of the best values in Yangon. Really clean, big comfy beds, TV, hot water showers,friendly staff. Stayed here several times and liked it a lot. Good location also. Only a short taxi ride to downtown, and not too noisy.     Some advice:Book the hotel online through a booking website. The price is a lot cheaper than what they will quote you at the reception desk.    Really good hotel.

I stayed 4nights at Gemsy. It was my pleasure time in Yangon. Hotel is simple but service is excellent. Rooms are clean, staffs are nice,warmly welcomed and gave kindness on me. My stay was just like I'm with my family. I feels like home in Gemsy. Foods also delicious!😋 I think you all should try in Gemsy hotel if you love home!
