Lots of good things about this Hotel but overall it is not up to 4 star standard in all areas and is let down by poor housekeeping and maintenance standards. We arrived late evening for a 7 night stay on 17th September and were ushered into the Restaurant for some food which was a good start. Check in followed and was completed efficiently by Reception staff. When we entered our room it seemed clean on first impressions but upon closer inspection was actually quite shabby in places. We tried looking out of the patio doors to admire the Sea view we had paid extra for but could only see the main pool and the Pool Bar and an outdoor restaurant. I returned to reception and checked that this room was actually a sea view room and was assured it was. We were advised to sleep there that night and if not happy in the morning then ask for a room move. Next morning we had no hot water from the shower although it was hot from the wash hand basin. After getting out of the cold shower there was water all over the Bathroom floor.Looking out of the Patio doors in daylight revealed the sea could be seen but it was at least 100 yards away and not what I would call a sea view room at all. This Room should have been described as a distant sea view room view at the very least. Not happy at this point!! Reception staff were very helpful when I asked for a room move and we were passed on to the front office manager who explained the hotel was full and she would need a little time to sort out alternatives. We were asked to return in an hour which we did but the Hotel Assistant Manager who took over dealing with us asked for more time and asked us to re-pack our suitcases and return again at 12.30 pm. At that time we were offered 2 alternatives and accepted a move to Room 1108 which was acceptable and as close to the sea as any room in the Hotel. We moved our stuff straight away but the whole process took up the first half day of our holiday. All staff that were involved in this move were extremely helpful and deserve credit. The new room was still on the small side compared to other 4 star hotels we have stayed in but did have good storage options. The air con was good and the bed very comfotable. The safe was tiny and old fashioned and key operated. It cost 3 euros a day and in my opinion should be included in the All-inclusive package. We noticed there was only one chair on the balcony and had to ask for a second on to be brought up.The mini bar fridge was noisy and again we had to ask for it to be replaced. The replacement fridge was set so cold that it froze the water in there and we had to adjust the temperature accordingly. Paintwork was shabby especially on the balcony. The in house staff have obviously never heard of dustsheets when repainting various areas. Damage was evident to the flooring in the room. Still not happy at this point!! Now for some good points. The public areas were spacious and well maintained. Restaurant and bars in the main building wer

This was our 4th visit since 2016 in which time the hotel has been refurbished. The hotel is extremely clean, light and airy, we were greeted by very friendly staff and offered refreshments immediately on entering the reception area. Signing in was made simple and information regarding the rooms, amenities, dining, pools and services was explained fully and clearly. The food in the main dining room was always of a very good standard and such a large variety that all tastes were catered for. From 10.00 every morning there was a great selection of food and drink from a self-service restaurant by the pools which was open until 6.00pm. Next to this was an Asian buffet restaurant which opened for lunch Monday to Saturday. Both restaurants served very tasty food if you didn't want to leave the pool area and go to the main restaurant. Dress code for dinner in the hotel restaurant is smart casual and shorts are allowed but not swimwear. Excursions and car hire are available from the hotel, there is also a jewellers and a small convenience shop for essentials. Under the hotel there is an entertainments theatre with nightly shows and cabaret. Beside this there is a spa and gym with indoor swimming pool. The main pools have areas with sunbeds and parasols reserved for the less able/mobile guests for easy access to the water. There is always adequate sunbeds around the pools. The hotel also large children's play area with many water features and water slides near the main pool. From the pools you are only a 2 minute walk from the sea with access via steps to the water.

We arrived in the afternoon and we're given drinks and cakes whilst filling out our forms, nice touch. We took our selves to our room which was on the ground floor with no balcony and extremely limited seaview even though we had paid for a seaview and balcony. The room also smelt damp. We queried this with reception and we're advised we could move the next day which we did to a 2 nd floor room with a balcony and seaview and no smell! The room and bathroom are quite small and could do with up dating but clean. Mattress was extremely soft . Cleaners did a great job everyday. The pools are nice ,very warm ,we used the slides too, good fun. The holiday for us was made by the staff and the food. Staff around the pool were friendly ,lots of entertainment to join in with if you wanted to buy not forced into anything. Ahmed in the restaurant worked extremely hard and welcomed us by name at every meal and found us a seat, some of the other waitresses could learn from him. The food was really good ,lots of choice and good quality at each meal. Unfortunately the soft drinks and cocktails are not great ,sugary syrups We didn't see many of the evening entertainment but what we did see was good. If you like to go to bed early ask for a quiet room as the entertainment and bar are outside and it's quite noisy with people outside until 2 am some nights so you can't leave the balcony door open . Not a problem as it was so hot when we were there that the Aircon was on all night. You can walk into Paphos along a coastal path ,takes about 45 mins ,lovely walk and beautiful sunsets just at the side of the hotel. We hired a car from the company in the hotel . Easy to book and decent car. Bus stop just outside the hotel

The Mrs and I had an amazing time at Louis Phaethon Beach, and it was all thanks to the incredible team. Alex, Sexy Alexi managed everything perfectly, making sure guests were always taken care of. Special shoutout to Jamie, Jasmine, who always had a smile on their faces and went out of their way to keep us happy. Jamie is a real geeza, hosting Aquabatics with him was up there with my wildiest moments but we did the sole job of entertain and cannot complain whatsoever. We truly felt welcome, and overall the whole team made our holiday unforgettable. We will be back in 2025.

Just returned from a great week in this hotel. The food and drink, staff, and entertainment were all first class. It's an older hotel which I believe is gradually getting refurbished. This was evidenced by our room being a bit tired and upon first entry smelling a bit "earthy" (although definitely not dirty and probably caused by the air conditioning) in contrast to the modernised restaurant and reception area. The pool areas are large and well laid out with water rides which wouldn't be out of place in a decent water park. There were also plenty of sun beds so no need for the early bed run. There is also easy access to the beach although a better one is about a 250 metre walk away. There is a good public service bus stop just outside the hotel which can take you to central Paphos for 2 Euros, which for us was a better bet than a rather long walk there. We really enjoyed our stay.

Some real positives here, food was excellent throughout, especially the lunchtime Chinese which many reviewers mention. Staff were friendly and helpful and made the holiday experience special. Lobby and reception area and adjacent bar was lovely. Our only real issue, and the reason for not giving five stars, was the lack of provision for teenagers. We travelled as a family group with three teenage girls 12, 15 and 16. Girls (and boys) in this age range don’t like to be considered ‘kids’ so won’t involve themselves in activities for the little ones. Even just a late afternoon archery session labelled ‘for teens’ would have been something (afternoon because teenagers often get up late, even on holiday). The youngest, as a ‘Swiftie’ might have been attracted by a teen activity on that theme. It was a notable issue on an otherwise lovely holiday at this busy, friendly hotel.

Recently returned from a week at this fabulous hotel and we loved it. If you want a quiet break with no activities then this is not the hotel for you, but if you want a balance of relaxation and some fun then the Louis Phaethon is perfect. Huge credit goes to the entertainment team who work tirelessly from morning until late night, bringing energy to every activity. Food was excellent and you will not be able to try everything on offer at mealtimes as there were too many choices. Big thanks to Ahmed who was always pleased to see us and provided us with fresh milk for our morning tea. Room was cleaned every day and bottles of water replenished. I do suspect the drinks are not very strong because we drank them all day with little effect, but this minimizes any drunken behavior. There are two huge pools and a shallow kids pool (all spotless) and shady areas under the numerous palm trees. Regular bus service to town too and only 20 mins from the airport. What is not to like?
