This is a long review. Here is a summary if you don't feel like reading the whole thing. - great staff - good food - this hotel isn't for people with kids - best for people over 60 - no inflatables are allowed in the pool. Given it's small size, it's probably best - the beach is very rocky, not great - very quiet in the evening and not much going on I'll start this review with the positives... The staff. The staff at this hotel are excellent. They're kind, helpful, and great at their jobs. From the cleaners, right up to the hotel manager, they are all great at their jobs. The food. The food here is genuinely good. I'm generally not a fan of all-inclusive, but I enjoyed pretty much everything I ate. There was only one occasion where I didn't want to eat, but that was down to personal taste rather than the hotel. Hygiene The hotel is kept clean. From the rooms to the pool area, The dining room is cleared quickly. All good. Now down to the not so good..... Overall the hotel is looking a bit past it. The rooms are ok, but they're very much stuck in the 90s/2000s. Things are starting to look shabby and old. The pool loos old and tied, and needs regrouting. The handrail into the pool is loose and very dirty looking. When you start to look you'll notice things everywhere that look tired, shabby and outdated. Also, the pool isn't big enough, and at times it was standing room only. The aircon is rubbish. Granted it was in the 40s, but we couldn't get the AC in our room below 28, making it hard to sleep. Speaking to other guests this was the same in all rooms. A maintenance man came to our room and told us that it wasn't hot enough for the AC to be working fully. If 40oC+ isn't hot enough, I don't know what is. The owners need to spend some money and get this hotel up to modern standards. Tui rates this as a Platinum hotel, and I have no idea how they've achieved that award. The drinks. On my first night, I asked for a strawberry daiquiri. I was presented with a glass of prosecco with some strawberry liqueur in it. It was warm. The beer is gassy and weak. Most drinks were a bit weak. It would be nice if there was a premium spirits option like most hotels. Also, sometimes it took up to fifteen minutes to get a drink. You; 're not allowed to go to the main bar for your own drinks, it's table service. When it's busy, expect a wait. The other guests.... It's a strange thing to mention other guests in a hotel review - but, in this case I think it's important in order to set expectations. This hotel has a loyal following, and (in my view), the reason this place has such a high rating is because the same people have been going for over 20+ years. Unfortunately, they don't do the hotel any favours. They're happy with the status quo, and it keeps the hotel living in the past. The same people will love telling you how long they have been coming here and how good it is but don't you dare make even the most minor criticism. They treat the place
