Happiness YES Hostel

The room had wooden floors, clean and comfortable. There was a communal kitchen space and laundry service available. The staff were very friendly and helpful; they assisted with inquiries about local dining options and tour package information. The location is excellent, right near Luodong Night Market, perfect for shopping and eating.

This hotel in Luodong has an excellent location and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. They're very flexible with guest requests, and the rooms are spotlessly clean. The bathroom facilities are also thoughtfully designed and well-maintained. I always choose to stay here to enjoy the comfort and convenience they provide.

When I arrived, the staff seemed quite busy. I had booked for two nights and noted that I was bringing a pet, but the front desk didn't seem to know, repeatedly asking me how many days I was staying and if I was extending my stay. Also, perhaps because I had a dog, my room was in a deeper section of the housekeeping area, and the soundproofing was poor. I could hear people sneezing and coughing in the next room, and even the conversations of the housekeeping staff when they started work in the morning. The sink also seemed a bit clogged. The front desk immediately offered to fix it, but since we were going out and checking out the next day, we ultimately opted for them to handle it after we left. However, in terms of geographical location, it is indeed a good spot. As for parking, it depends on personal preference. There's a spot nearby for 120 (per day) closer to the hotel, but I rented the hotel's for 150 (per day). It's an open parking lot next to a railway crossing, with no fences but with surveillance cameras. If you plan on driving in and out frequently, it's quite a good deal. Also, bringing a dog requires a deposit and a cleaning fee! But as long as your dog doesn't make a mess, the deposit is generally fully refunded. Overall, considering the price and the location, it's quite acceptable. However, if soundproofing and service experience are high priorities for you, then I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Right by the entrance, there's a shoe-changing area. To the right, there's a super spacious bathroom with a huge bathtub. It doesn't have a separate shower and bath, but it's still really nice. Further in, there's a small living room, and next to it, a slide that's fun for both adults and kids. The slide goes down into a ball pit, and there are storybooks too. Even further inside, there are two large beds and a TV. There's also a balcony at the back. It's fantastic!

They have rooms with slides and a public playroom, which is great for families with kids. We booked an economy quad room and an economy double room. The double room was very affordable but incredibly small and had a musty smell. So, if possible, I'd recommend booking a higher-tier room type.

We stayed in an 8-person room, and upon entering, there was an unexplained odor. After we reported it, they said they'd put an air freshener or something similar in our room to remove the smell. The original odor did disappear, but then it was replaced by an overpowering bleach smell. However, after turning on the air conditioning and airing out the room for a bit, it was fine. Overall, it was acceptable! The beds, tables, and floors were all quite clean, no issues there.

The slide in the six-person room was really fun, but the soundproofing was a bit poor, and the flooring wasn't very comfortable to walk on. There's a table and sofa, which made it super convenient for bringing food back. The room was spacious and comfortable overall.
