Motel 6 York, NE

This place was the absolute worst place I’ve ever stayed and I’ve stayed in some pretty bad places. Upon pulling up I was sure it was no longer in business. The outside was so unkempt and unwelcoming. The lobby was no better, not were the halls or room. I checked in at 6pm and the hall was cluttered with active housekeeping stuff strewn, making the hall an obstacle course. The room door was stuck. The front desk was resistant to come help me get in the room. The gentleman had to “shoulder” it open. But, tried to send me back to “try again” and reluctantly came to help after I told him I tried 5 times. It’s just run down and filthy. Pass it by. I’d give it a zero if I could. Maybe a negative 5.

Close it! Fix it! Or rename it. Suggestion re the latter: The Hellhole Formerly Known as Motel 6. Came into dark lobby 6:30p.m. Finally, a guy came to the desk and turned on the lights. I did get a ground floor room that I had requested. Too many Out of Order signs to count....including on exterior doors. NO ice in building. All doors open into interior hallway. No sense of security re successful use of room key on ancillary exterior doors. But wait! There's more! Get to the room: there is a bed; and a short frig; and that's ALL! No chair, no desk/shelf for suitcase; no bedside stand. NOTHING. (but there was a handicap shower chair in bathroom that I could put up against the room door for added security/noise if breached). Had to go to lobby to use microwave. Everything dingy. Wall-mounted TV not working, either. This location is a blight on the image of the chain. Just too tired to try to go elsewhere at that time.

I don’t usually write a review but this place is by far the worst place I’ve stayed in in the last 35 years. Part of the motel is abandoned. Windows broke out and graffiti. Walked in my room and had two used towels on the counter with the trash full. Room and pillows smells like smoke. It’s dirty but hey, it’s a room with a bed! I’d pay extra and go anywhere else. Sorry so negative. Just facts I’d want to know.

Good cheap place to stay for the night with our fur-baby! Second time at the same place and will be back! An employee was training and it was still one of the fastest most friendly check-ins i’ve ever had! Also appreciate a place that is muti-lingual!

Dirty, don’t think sheets were clean most uncomfortable bed ever!!! No Wi-Fi, ice machine broken, outside door not secured

Well it was convenient but other then a guy coughing all night, it was nice, i liked there was a stop light there; The food places around are pretty good. No roaches here the person at the desk was really nice. Would stay here again.
