Pros: The location is OK, about half an hour walk to the city center; the surrounding environment is also good, there is a supermarket nearby.

This is a lovely B&B, the proprietor is a true English Gentleman, can also cook a mean full English. We stayed in room 12, up on the the top floor. It was entirely charming. The bathroom was clean though has a unusual lay out. The bed was comfortable with clean sheets and the room was cosy and warm. Tuly a lovely little B&B.

A trip to York
The property was in a great location that gave the opportunity to walk into the city or take a bus from outside the property.
The property is on the is older but in great condition and the facilities were average for such a property.
The staff were friendly and happy to share local knowledge along with their thoughts about venues to visit along with places to eat.
We would use this property again as we like visiting York and the surrounding area

Great value Hotel
Great hotel, not far from city centre.
Owner and breakfast staff were very friendly.
Room was clean, warm, and had everything we needed, and if was quiet at night.
Breakfast was very nice.
Free onsite parking was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel.
We would definitely stay there again.

Spent weekend 20-22/07/2024 for partners birthday for locality to York city centre place was very nice presented rooms ok food excellent and proprietor Paul was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, would recommend this establishment 9/10

Arrived wee bit early for a Friday to Sunday stay, but no problem as owner let us check in, plus took the time to show us bus routes etc into town on a brochure map. Room very clean and spacious with ensuite shower and wc..[room 5]. Given own key for room and code entry to front door. breakfast was really filling and very pleasantly served by mine host. Bus stop across road to town and 100 yrds up road on way back. Over all was a very pleasant stay and would/will stay again.
