Great location right overlooking the terraces. Perfect view in the morning. Owner is active in the local tourism industry and is very knowledgeable about the area. Helped us a lot!

I stayed here for two nights with a friend in the beginning of February and we both loved it. This is not a place for luxury, but for great service! The hosts are genuinely kindhearted, open and will help you with anything to make you comfortable. We stayed in a panoramic view room and the location is right above some rice fields, No need to go to the next door viewing platform that charges ¥70, the view from there and from the rooftop were ansolutely amazing!

What a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea. Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset. There are 2 good restaurants a 10 minute uphill walk away, or Lucian can cook you meals, which are also great. Thanks Lucian! -Travis and Elisha (Colorado, USA) PS. Can't recommend this place enough, the host speaks perfect English (very rare for Yunnan) and was very helpful in recomening hikes. Family style dinners were fun as well. and the sunrise view from the roof is out of this world! AND there is an adorable kitten and God that are best friends

The view from the room is really amazing, so it’s perfect if you want to see sunrise over the rice paddies without getting out of bed. However the hotel itself is in a very old traditional house and it’s very musty and smells of damp. Lucian, the owner, is very friendly and can help arrange cars.

Pretty much next to the terraces! The view from my room was amazing, especially sunrise, could clearly see it from my room or could go to the outside area to see. Therefore didn’t have to go to the overcrowded viewing platform at the crack of dawn. Room is comfy, heater and towels provided but not really much else, so paying really for the view. Shower powerful and warm but no toiletries provided. Says restaurant on description but in fact doesn’t have one, has a couple of tables where the owner can warm up dumplings or baozi, however the owner is very nice and took me to see his friend which is only a short walk away who had a kitchen and could cook different meals at good prices. The owner helped me carry my luggage down, and it was pretty heavy, and then helped me to arrange someone to bring it up at the end of my stay. I would recommend not bring too much with you as it’s about an 8-10 min walk from the nearest car park, with quite a few steps or uneven paths but like I said, can arrange someone to help with any heavy luggage. Also it is in a little village surrounded by nature so bear in mind, you are going to hear things like the chickens and the wind. Owner speaks great English, always there to answer questions and help.

Located in the Pugao Old Village in the Duoyishu Scenic Area of ​​Yuanyang Terraces, it takes about five or six minutes to walk from the parking lot to the inn. Call the inn in advance and ask someone to pick you up. It is easy to go wrong when you first come. The room we stayed in was neat and clean, and the bathroom was large. Unfortunately, there was no door, but it didn't matter if it didn't face the room. Slippers and towels are provided, but you must bring your own toiletries. The room is great. You can see the terraced fields from the glass window while lying on the bed. You can lie on the bed and watch the sunrise. Unfortunately, we stayed there for two nights because of heavy fog and did not see the sunrise. I will stay here again if I have the chance to make up for it. My regret. The innkeeper is very enthusiastic and talkative, and even goes out to pick up guests who arrive very late at night. The last three photos were taken in the room.

The key is that other stores have road guide signs along the way. People with suitcases should never stay. In fact, there are several youth hostels near the road. It is more convenient for transportation and taking photos. The key is that the facilities are complete. Four beds in a room. If you don't want to buy tickets for the observation deck. There are people who spend ten yuan to take photos on the roof near the observation deck. It is better than paying for the observation deck. Some people don't charge. I waited for sunrise and sunset at the Yuanyang Terraces. I stayed there for more than a week. I have said so much. For reference only for travel friends

We had a wonderful time here. The most beautiful place we have seen in two months of traveling and the best view in town is from this guesthouse. The host is the nicest and most accommodating we have met so far, speaks very good English and helps with any concerns. We took the train to Honghe and then took a taxi for about 500 yuan. The trip itself is an experience full of great views. There are a few nice restaurants in town and a café with a very friendly owner, but it's best to eat in the hotel and get breakfast as you wish if you let us know in advance what you would like. We hope to come back.

The inn is close to the terraced fields. You don't need to go to the observation deck to watch the sunrise. You can see it from the roof of the inn.

A very unique experience. The B&B is located next to the observation deck. Some rooms in the hotel and the hotel's own balcony are the viewing points. You can watch the sunrise and sunset without leaving home. The boss is a very affectionate person with stories and background. Different volunteers come to the hotel every day to serve guests, including cute children, who treat the hotel as an amusement park. There are also docile dogs and lazy cats. This is a paradise. If I have the chance, I hope I can take my children to live here for a long time next year. There is a home here, a school here, and a party feel. Personal feelings vary from person to person. For me, this is not a hotel, it is the home of an old friend, a place that I will miss even though I am thousands of miles away.
