Jacky's is the place for me as someone who has very limited understanding of Chinese. Moreover, many of the older villagers can't speak Chinese anyway. Jacky is a native of this place. I chose a very basic room which was sufficient for my needs. He was most helpful with information on photography, himself being a photographer and Hani culture. He arranged arrival and departure for me and helped with luggage. Please be aware that you will be in a very rural and once remote part of the country, so don't expect luxurious surroundings. If you are squirmish about mud, dirt and animal droppings, well, get used to it and enjoy one of the wonders of human effort and creation. If you are a photographer, do yourself a favour and also get a drone. Incomparable and endless views of rice terraces. And yes, Duoduo their dog can take you for a walk down to the terraces.

Ideal location (10 min walk to incredible scenic spot), room is okay, the host speaks fluent english and can help you get to and from the hostel. Food in the village is very good. You can go to and from the different places around the mountain very easily because the people driving here will offer service. If you struggle to find the place, just ask the host or look for the ”K2” mark written in red on the house.

The room is clean and warmly decorated. You can watch the stars on the roof. The boss and the landlady are enthusiastic. You can only eat when the landlady is there. Just around 200 meters from the Jingkou Village Observation Deck, there are also triple rooms, suitable for family travel.

What a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea. Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset. I had an amazing stay in this hotel, the location is perfect, there's a nice spot to catch sunrise two minutes from there, room were clean and one of the most comfy I've been to, great bathroom with hot water and a lot of water pressure. The owner is super nice and helpful and speak well English and they also have a restaurant with delicious food!

The triple room is quite large, it is a standard room with a bed. The TV is very small, the bathroom is very big, but the toilet lid is bad. The boss is more kind and the service response is OK. Hot water is also stable. But because of the humming noise of hot water equipment all night on the top floor, it seems that the noise of vehicles on the side of the road is nothing. This is the biggest shortcoming. Since there are no other rooms to change on holidays, I can endure it for one night.

After driving thousands of kilometers, I came to Yuanyang for the first time. There was a parking space and the scenery here was too beautiful. The room is clean and tidy, with a sea of ​​clouds as far as the eye can see. This is a feeling that I, a city dweller, have never experienced. The boss is so enthusiastic about the food, and I deeply feel the simplicity and kindness of the local people. I must praise the boss's cooking skills to the ceiling. It is no exaggeration to say that I, a person who is trying to lose weight, can gain weight directly on the spot... As a serious lover of tea and coffee, the tea and coffee brewed with mountain spring water here once shocked me. . The gentle breeze blowing on my face in the quiet night made me feel like time had stood still. It was so comfortable... (On the first night, I sang karaoke with the boss downstairs. Haha, the hardware equipment here is not good, which made me stay up late again. ). The inn also has a puppy and a kitten that are almost two months old. They are so cute. I even bought them some toys. Hahaha, does the boss count me as an investment? 😂 The next time I go there, it will be yours. ! 👻

It feels good, although it is old, the room is still very good. Disadvantages: The bath and the bathroom are not separated from wet and dry, and the bath is not equipped with rubber slippers and it is easy to cause slippery and fall safety hazards (children, elderly).

The inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!

In terms of cost performance alone, I am very satisfied! I've seen people say that there is no hot water, but I live on the fifth floor and still have plenty of hot water! Available 24 hours a day. But here’s a reminder for latecomers: First, it’s best to go before 8 o’clock for breakfast. After 8:30, it will indeed be much less. Second, because it is in the core area of ​​the county, there seems to be a karaoke room downstairs. There will be some noise at night, but it is not too noisy. Light sleepers should be careful.
