Canadian traveler stayed 3 nights in late September. Good breakfast. The resort is very nice, restaurant food dishes were tasty, services were excellent. Two rice terraces are within walking distance (Hani and Jiankou). Others are further out, you need to have your own transport.
Off season rates are very affordable. A bit off the off the beaten path. Highly recommended.

The scenery is excellent. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of forests and mountains from anywhere in the room or lobby. My companions stayed so comfortable that they didn't want to leave. The girl at the front desk was very nice. She took the initiative to help us carry our boxes when we arrived. We were all embarrassed to carry two small boxes per person. The little girl helped us enthusiastically and thoughtfully if we needed anything. We really want to thank you! The mountain food on the nearby road is also delicious. The bed is just a bit soft for me personally. All in all satisfied.

The service provided by the boss is very, very OK. It is worth my driving thousands of miles to come to this world cultural heritage. The meaning of journey is to discover, there are surprises and disappoin**ents. When you fall asleep with anticipation all night, you will find that you can't sleep at all. We upgraded to a view room. The room facilities are very new. The floor-to-ceiling windows look out to the terraced fields. The sunrise in the morning is unbeatable. There are private stands in front of the hotel and on the top floor, with a wider view. The boss was very attentive. He added WeChat in advance and sent the parking lot location and warm reminders. When we arrived at the parking lot, a small Hani girl came to pick us up and carried our luggage in a bamboo basket. We had dinner at the hotel. There were not many dishes but the taste was very good. The red rice noodles cooked by Hani grandma in the morning were delicious. Thank you to all the hotel staff for their very warm and thoughtful service, which made us have an unforgettable and successful trip to Yuanyang. I have recommended it to many friends and will choose to stay again next time.

The parking lot is quite far from the accommodation, but fortunately the store provides luggage porter service. The scenery is indeed nothing to say, it’s superb. A glass side of the room faces the terraces, making it a great place to watch the sunrise. The hotel manager was very helpful. He arranged to pick us up in a car close to the parking lot before our arrival. Our room was modern, clean and beautiful. The view from our balcony was breathtaking! You could spend all day at the hotel admiring the terraces from the hotel roof, restaurant or your room. A very distinctive B&B with an excellent location. It is very close to Azheke Village and overlooks the terraced fields from a high place. The room is spacious, bright, clean and comfortable. The lady at the front desk also upgraded me to a loft for a better view of the terraced fields. The downside is that there are too few sockets in the living room of this room type and I can't find a socket to boil water. Because the room has a very high ceiling and a loud echo, the voices and music from the next door are very clear, but I can feel that they are very attentive. After all, it is not easy to run a B&B in the mountains. The B&B has a restaurant with reasonable prices and delicious food. You can also wear Hani and Yi costumes for free to take pictures. There are also local specialties such as red yeast rice and terraced field black tea for sale.

It was a very warm stay experience that was still fresh in our memory after we left the hotel. This time we, a family of three, drove more than 30 hours and spent three days to reach this Hani village. The operators of this scarecrow inn are a young couple. As soon as we entered the parking lot, we felt like we were back at home. The male host who came out to pick us up helped us carry the big box. His lover also appeared in front of us dressed up. This is how the entire journey of the Hani tribe begins...
Their inn is very stylishly decorated, and the balcony has a panoramic view of the entire terraced fields. The clouds and mist in front of us are descending rapidly. For the first time, we feel like we are in the clouds!
Throughout the afternoon, the host took us to visit the surrounding folk villages, and then walked around the terraced fields. The hostess was busy in the kitchen preparing dishes and special items we needed. At the same time, they are always paying attention to our needs, asking us if we need this or that! We are deeply gratified by the meticulous care.
The male host is a man who has been a chef in a big city for seven years. The carp, chicken, and vegetables in the evening are all very delicious. Before going to bed at night, they brought their two babies up to chat with us for a while👧👦🙆
The most unforgettable thing is that when we left the next day, the host and hostess helped us carry the big box as always, escorted us all the way to the parking lot, and waved goodbye as if we were saying goodbye to close friends. generally!

The manager is really helpful and speaks English, he helped us to arrange our transportation to Jianshui, he gave us many information about the activities and hikes around and also gave us a lot of drinking water and snacks. There are also board games in the rest area in the hotel, we played a game with the car on our laps, so nice.
We had an amazing stay there, it was perfect.

Xx1023The B&B has a dedicated parking lot, which is a few hundred meters away from the B&B. There are steps and stone paths, and it is a test of physical strength to carry a lot of things. The B&B sister will help the guests carry their luggage. To be honest, it is hard to bear it. Fortunately, we don’t have suitcases and can basically solve it by ourselves. The B&B is located next to the terraced fields, with a good view, comfortable facilities, good hygiene, and good sound insulation and heat preservation of the balcony doors and windows. The only problem is that the room door is not soundproof. When a wave of ******* guests are unscrupulous, they continue to make loud noises upstairs and downstairs for several hours at night, affecting rest. You can eat in the B&B, which is very convenient. It is not easy to open a B&B in the mountains to be hygienic and comfortable, and there are several local Hani aunts and sisters employed. Full marks!

GGuest UserIt was already 9 o'clock when we arrived that day. I contacted the hotel in advance to prepare dinner. This meal will be remembered for a long time. It was super delicious and paired with the hotel's own wine, which was perfect. I chose rice noodles for breakfast. The more I ate, the better it tasted. If my stomach wasn’t so full, I could have finished the soup.
Because I arrived late in the day, the mountain road was a bit difficult to walk. I kept going around and around, but it was worth it to see the beautiful scenery. I saw a review before saying that the hotel room is far away from the lobby. I think it is acceptable to go down a few slopes. It is also good to watch cows playing with chickens.
There are some details in the hotel that need to be paid attention to. The power switch in the room where the children lived was not repaired, which was a bit deducted.

AAaron CedricI love this hotel! The room is so atmospheric, with large windows connecting you with the beautiful scenery outside. On a foggy day, you cannot see any of the terraces and there's not much to do outside, but the room is at its most magical in the fog... the view looks like a famous Japanese screen of 'pine in mist'... or a Song dynasty painting. Incredibly beautiful.... I wish I spent more time in the room! The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to see the sunrise over Duoyishu, since you can view it on the roof or, if you want to go to the best viewing platform that's only about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is also semi-walking distance to Azheke Village, which is 45-60 minutes by walking on the ring road. Every morning the hotel serve rice noodle soup using local red rice.... it's quite nourishing to start a day of hiking. Oh, and the boss is really friendly and helpful. He seems to only speak Chinese, but I think he will go out of his way to be helpful if you dont speak Chinese. He makes great recommendations and even seems to be good at forecasting the weather to help you plan your trip. He definitel 'knows the hills.'

GGuest UserThe inn is located in a quiet village in Duoyishu. Location was good - about 15 to 20 mins walk from Duoiyishu terrace viewing platform, and there was a small restaurant near the inn. The Hani caretaker was hospitable and showed me the way to get to the terrace fields in the village. It was so wonderful being able to get so close to the rice terraces! Here, you could view the sunrise without having to pay the 70yuan charged at the viewing platforms. Do note that the 70 yuan ticket allows access to the other viewing platforms as well, and is good for 72 hours. I had a free upgrade to a bigger room with large windows and a view. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable with an electric blanket. Owner is fluent in both Chinese and English, and was helpful in arranging my transport and giving advice on the sunrise viewing spots. I have beautiful memories of my stay in Duoyishu, would like to come back again!

GGuest UserJacky's is the place for me as someone who has very limited understanding of Chinese. Moreover, many of the older villagers can't speak Chinese anyway. Jacky is a native of this place. I chose a very basic room which was sufficient for my needs. He was most helpful with information on photography, himself being a photographer and Hani culture. He arranged arrival and departure for me and helped with luggage. Please be aware that you will be in a very rural and once remote part of the country, so don't expect luxurious surroundings. If you are squirmish about mud, dirt and animal droppings, well, get used to it and enjoy one of the wonders of human effort and creation. If you are a photographer, do yourself a favour and also get a drone. Incomparable and endless views of rice terraces. And yes, Duoduo their dog can take you for a walk down to the terraces.

TTravis and ElishaWhat a great location for being amongst the terraces! We splurged and got the terrace view room, and it was very nice with a great view, comfortable bed, warm blankets, and hot shower. The room has an unblocked view of the terraces. But if you don't get that room, the upstairs balcony has the very best view. But we enjoyed watching the sunrise from our bed with hot tea.
Lucian is really great! He explained to us different hiking options for seeing other views. His English is really good too so you can ask him any questions about the area. He has a sweet old dog and a cute young cat. He's also available to pick you up if you get lost or have trouble getting back after sunset.
There are 2 good restaurants a 10 minute uphill walk away, or Lucian can cook you meals, which are also great.
