One of the nearest accommodation to Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort and shuttle via a mini bus is available. Shuttle bus goes to Echigo Yuzawa station too. It is walking distance from Gala Yuzawa. Approach any staff at the Ski Resort with the telephone number of the hotel to request for it. Stayed there for a few night for snowboarding. Breakfast selection was fabulous with two local Japanese sake available! The room is big, clean and well furnished. It even come with a great view! Onsen street which is the street lined with restaurant is 10-15mins walk away. I recommend making reservation for dinner if you do not intend to go out for dinner. Great service is one of the key reason why I would return to stay!

We love it so much, our Room get the best view, its like painting but its real. Hopefully next time can come back again. For the breakfast its delicious with alot option. Thank you for the hospitality takahan hotel.❤️❤️❤️❤️

They are enthusiastic and attentive in solving guests' problems, especially the connection service. They are on time and the driver is kind. I will probably book a room again next time I go skiing.

A very historic hotel, the scenery is particularly beautiful in the early morning! Unfortunately, the hot spring water is very cold and not hot at all! Hygiene needs to be improved, the room is dirty and there are too few electrical plugs! It’s time to renovate the room

The hotel is located halfway up the mountain. Standing in front of the yard, you can see the long railway line. Everything is as real as the description in "Snow Country". The hotel looks old on the outside, but it is unique when you enter. The first floor is the reception hall, and there is an escalator that can go directly to the second floor. Kawabata Yasunari's study. There is a hot spring next to the study. It is also equipped with coffee, popsicles, ice cubes, table tennis tables, etc. Take the elevator from the second floor to a Japanese-style room. It is a very artistic hotel with very good service. The Niigata rice for breakfast is particularly delicious. I will bring my family here again next time.

Going in the snow season, the hot springs will be more enjoyable. It's still a bit hot in September, but it doesn't ruin the fun. My skin is smooth after soaking in the hot springs. The breakfast and dinner are exquisite. The service staff are very kind. I will visit again.

A pretty good traditional Japanese hotel, very close to the station. When you get to the station, call the hotel and they will send a car to pick you up.
