I had booked a room with a king-sized bed, but I was initially assigned a room with two single beds . When I went down and brought this to the reception’s attention, they assigned a new room but had additional issues, including a clogged toilet and a delay of up to 15 minutes for hot water. I returned to the front desk to request another room due to these issues, which was a disruptive start to my stay. I have booked two separate reservations. However, on the 1st day I was not informed by the counter staff that I would need to recheck in for the second booking on the following day. Upon my return on the 2nd day, only to find I couldn’t access my room. I went down to clarify and they recheck in with a new room access card, I was assured that my access was restored, but upon returning to my room, I found that I still couldn’t enter. It appeared that the recheck-in process had not been completed correctly, another 3rd trip to the front desk again to do check in. The multiple room changes and repeated issues with room access caused frustration and disrupted my stay. I believe a smoother check-in process and better communication could have greatly improved our experience.

Advantages: Excellent location, very convenient to go to the upper and lower town, you can go back to the hotel to rest at any time. The room is very large, and the twin beds are separate! (Many hotel beds are put together). There is a kettle and tissues. The room is old-fashioned, but the layout is in line with the habits of the elderly in China. The breakfast is rich, with smoked salmon and ham (go early, there will be no later). The shower water is very large and comfortable. The cleaning lady is very friendly. The female receptionist at check-out is kind and cute. The map given in the lobby is practical. Disadvantages: There are many guests and it takes a long time to queue. The African-American female receptionist looked very senior when checking in, but she was not friendly. When it was our turn, she deliberately turned a blind eye and chatted with others for a few minutes before pretending to find us. The lights in the elevator kept flashing, which was more weird at night. There is no shower room but only a bathtub. It is not very convenient to get in and out of the bathtub, and the shower water is easy to spill.
