Everything else is good, but the wifi is really slow... This is the first time I've encountered such a slow internet connection. I went to a nearby Chinese restaurant and it was very fast.

The hotel is located in the town square of Zakynthos. Standing on the balcony overlooking the town square, the hotel facilities are relatively old. The next morning after check-in, the water was cut off due to a breakdown, and the service was good.

So, the positives, location, right in the centre of everything. The staff are helpful and friendly. Shout out to Sophia and Ian, but also our lovely waitress and pool bar staff. Great bed and shower. The air conditioning is the best, and in the middle of a heatwave, that’s important. Breakfast is local, fresh and plentiful. All you need. Some might say the hotel is a bit dated. I prefer vintage. We had the Comfort Room, with the cutest balcony and local neighbour who we met up with every evening and said “hello! How are you?” On our perspective balconies. That was the extent of her English and our Greek. The wi-fi in the room was a bit iffy but great everywhere else in the hotel. We found two amazing local eateries and ate there all the time! We went to a recommended taverna in town but our waiter was much more interested in the larger parties in the restaurant (Sathmos)and not two old foggies with a smaller appetite and didn’t want a starter or pudding 😡 we voted with our feet and didn’t go back. Their loss. Best to stick to the small places off the beaten track. The best food, prices and service (Dell Arte pizza restaurant just off the main square) We did the all day trip to Keffolonia. Long day but Keffolomia is beautiful. The ferry ride there and back is too long. We also did the wine tour with the aforementioned Ian. Great fun. The negatives? There is a bit of a ‘sewage smell’ in the bathroom. Sounds bad but you get use to it! The lovely Sophia allowed us to have a sneaky peel at the upgraded room because we would love to come back and the upgrade room is a bit bigger. We loved it! .

Location is excellent. Very close to St Marks Square with access to lots of restaurants and bars. Staff was very nice, specially Angela who received us first day and whas there helping us and giving us recommendations till our check out. Regarding tours and arrangements, I want to make a special mention to Ian Roberts, who was the key to organize very good tours quickly, alowing us save a lot of time and knowing amazing places arouns the island.

We understood when we booked, as part of a package deal, that this was a 4 star hotel. It isn’t! It’s a poor 3 star! Our room was a deluxe comfort. The bed was reasonably comfortable, pillows were satisfactory. The storage space was very minimal & very dated, also very shabby. The drawers in the wardrobe were made of unplaned wood making them difficult to open & close. Slippers/dressing gowns/blankets/safe were all in the bottom of the small wardrobe. The safe was only usable when we paid €15 for a key. There was tea/coffee in room but no milk/creamer provided. Reception said it isn’t provided. In other hotels it has been provided on request. No bottled water was provided. The shower room was awful. Very small, the door handle & back of door looked disgusting. The ceiling had plaster board that wasn’t plastered or papered, hence you could see the name of the company that made it in several places. The shower had good water pressure but was mouldy on the tiling & leaked around the door when closed. The washbasin also leaked around the taps. There appeared to be no sound proofing as there was a lot of noise from corridors and other rooms. Breakfast wasn’t very good. Certainly not 4 star! Reception staff were lovely ladies, also cleaning & breakfast ladies were very good. The pool was very small with little sunbathing space. My recommendation is to go elsewhere.

Very friendly staff breakfast dining , reception Sofia, and Angela very well run. Then there was Ian Roberts who organised our day trips great persona. Had an electrical fault in our room and put in another within an hour. So far and we have been to Greece a few times this is the best.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, but could really benefit from a refit not so much to the lobby or restaurant as that has a nice retro feel . Our room was a comfort twin with balcony, room 214 to be precise,I can't say it didn't have everything you would expect just that what was there was tired with very little natural light unless you opened the door to balcony and let in the very warm air (currently 35c) also the shower/bath was very awkward to get in/out of .All the staff are lovely and very welcoming .

The location is excellent, just yards away from St Marks Square with access to lots of restaurants and bars. All the staff were so friendly and helpful but Sofia in particular went our of her way to organise a change of room for us. Breakfast had a wide range of things to eat and drink with small changes each day. Our room was tidied daily and the hotel in general was very clean and tidy. I would recommend a stay here.

Fabulous location and clean. Towels every 3 days is not acceptable. Customer service is obviously not a priority. Beds are very hard . Breakfast is very average.The pictures of the pool and bar area are taken by a great photographer The bathroom is very uncomfortable to use. Great shame as this could be a amazing place to come too.

The staff at the reception was so helpful and they were very kind to my son (4). Also the tours I booked with the hotel were very nice and they helped me quickly with all my questions (even during the evening and weekends). Cleaning of the room could be improved a bit (more consistent). Some days it was great, some days they forgot things. The location is perfect! When you walk out of the hotel you have plenty of restaurants and shops. The main shopping street is right in front of the hotel and the harbor is only a few minutes walking away. All and all we had a great time and I would recommend the hotel.

The common areas of the hotel and the room itself look really good, however the bathroom is small, outdated and it smells, it doesn’t make any sense that is hasn’t been refurbished recently. The bed is comfortable but the bed sheets are really bad, so thick and harsh! You can literally hear EVERYTHING from the other rooms and corridor and this is what I thought it was the worse about this hotel! I thought the breakfast was poor and not varied, but after staying in other hotels of the same sort in Greece, it seems to be the “normal”. But I noticed there are no lactose free options available. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Me and my partner were quite disappointed overall. The room we got it was small and the cleaning wasnt great. There were cockroaches walking around we had to kill them most of the days. The odd thing is that we left them in the floor so the staff could see it during cleaning everyday and they have never got rid of them. The walls seem to be thin since we could hear other guests 2-3 rooms away. Could hear everyone conversations on adjacent walls. The bathroom is old and stinks. Whether is from the drainage I don't know but the smell was bad and you feel it in the room as well. Bed blanks were quite hard which feels weird. One of the worst aspect was the staff in the morning that were so noisy that we couldn't even sleep after 7:30ish. Seems like they want everyone to stand up so they can get their job done. There were no door hotel signs on any room at all which is bad. Sometimes we were getting ready or just resting and the staff were coming in - it's disrespectful! Breakfast was ok and staff in the reception were lovely. But surely this cannot be considered a 4 stars hotel in my opinion comparing to others.
