For a resort located in Zambales, it's quite far coming from Manila. More or less, you'll spend around 5-6 hours driving. There are a lot of things to see upon entering the premises, like a bridge walkway, a nearby river and lots of plants and animals. It's definitely ”Instagrammable”, especially if you like to post a lot in social media. Rooms are divided into separate cabins, depending on how many you are as a group. The rooms have an old-school house vibe, but are clean and cozy. Unfortunately, we were booked in rooms that had very limited wifi and signal. We had to go to the main dining area to make use of the wifi. The food in the resort was under-the-radar good. Nothing stood out but everything we ordered was consistently well-cooked. The beachside area was okay, though you take a boat ride going to the more beautiful Potipot island. There are other things to do in the resort like a swimming pool, pool table and karaoke, as well as musical acts depending on the day. Overall, the resort is perfect if 1.) you're a group of friends who don't like crowded resorts, 2.) you're a family with small kids or 3.) an office department planning a team building since the resort is quite spacious for physical activities and fellowship activities.

Staffs are really great! All of them were accommodating, helpful and friendly. This is a hidden paradise. The pool is beautiful and clean. The only downside when we came was the TV has no signal and no wifi connection in the rooms. But they are working on it, so we will definitely be coming back Worth it! Wonderful resort!

My family stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. We booked 3 rooms thru booking.com and it happened that the rooms were far from each other, we tried to change it but the whole resort is occupied. So when booking thru a different site, better check the bakasyunan map first before you reserve, unless it doesn't matter if your room is not close to each other. Anyways the resort isn't that big so the walking distance is not that far. The receptionist is not smiling and also when we asked for a room upgrade, they said they don't have any even before checking. Our room (girls room) is a nipa hut named Dinagyang with 4 queen size beds, separate toilet and bath, TV, fridge and terrace, big space which can accommodate 8 pax. Boys room is the executive room with toilet and bath, TV and 2 twin beds enough for 4 pax but since they are 5 we paid for additional mattress. The couples room (mahogany room) has one queen bed with toilet, bath and TV. We had some issues with our nipa room and unfortunately on our first night, I slipped in the shower. I immediately went to the receptionist and asked for the duty manager. Ms. Gloria came and I told her what happened, I also informed her about all the issues that we had with our rooms like sliding door very noisy, showerhead broken, fridge not working etc. She and the whole bakasyunan staff immediately solved the problem and I am very thankful to them. The ground staff helped us a lot specially Ashley, she was very helpful and she assisted us throughout our stay. On our first day since we arrived early we had our lunch in their restaurant. We had bangus, fried chicken, vegetables and sisig. They all tasted great I loved the bangus with garlic butter (yummy) for me the chicken is a bit dry, but there are some items in the menu that are not available, they should update their menu. We had our breakfast in their restaurant throughout our stay. You have to order the night before and inform them of the time in order for them to have ample time to prepare the food. They do ala carte menu for breakfast, but don't expect it to be five-star rate, and ask them first if they will be able to make it or not. I don't recommend the American breakfast it's just vienna sausage with eggs and toast, they do offer Filipino breakfast which is good. You can also buy fresh seafoods from the fishermen by the beach and have it grilled (we bought sugpo). We also bought dried fish (danggit) and had them cook it for breakfast and ordered garlic rice. You will pay corkage if you bring food from outside, but you have food options like ordering Jollibee and Shakeys. We had fun swimming in the pool and beach (black sand with high waves), but the whole place have games and selfie murals that you will also enjoy. Bakasyunan resort Zambales is nice but outdated. They need to upgrade their rooms and services to accommodate paying guests like us and not only for those who are staying one night or team building. They also need to plant Citronella around the p

Excellent
GGuest UserI my family and I rented three rooms here in December 2022. Two rooms with a king size bed and one room with two queen size beds. All rooms had spectacular views from their private balconies. The Wi-Fi connection was not strong in one of our rooms but the staff promptly moved us into a new room. We especially enjoyed how the hotel offers massages in the room. The beach was rocky but the view was unbeatable. The breakfast in the morning was great and cost friendly and the dinner in the evening was even more cost friendly and so tasty. We can’t wait to return here during our next trip to Subic!
GGuest UserIn principle the 4**** is too much, realistically 2.5* is appropriate.
Check in went smoothly, the room was clean, large and practical. Unfortunately, the room pictured online was the suite, hence the disappointment about the lack of a sea view.
In addition, there is no breakfast directly in the hotel, this information is also withheld online, you are referred to 2 neighboring restaurants that ONLY offer local, mostly lukewarm to cold, breakfast. If you use the local buffet instead of the selection, this also costs extra 😡
The hotel is busy and very noisy, with parties at the pool or in the rooms lasting well into the early hours of the morning. There was no evidence of management intervention.
For guests like us who want to relax, this hotel is unsuitable with the constant nightly celebrations of short-term vacationers or conference participants, especially since the first guests leave for breakfast at 6:30 a.m. and you are then involuntarily woken up again.
I would have imagined the 7-day stay differently.
Repetition factor is very low or not at all😰
GGuenterThe pub part of the offer was outstanding, Magners on tap, real British pub atmosphere, best calamares I had in decades. Nice seats watching out on the bay. Could not be sny better in England.
The rooms were rather soso, and I don’t mean the size or rudimentary furniture. There were small ants all over so I kept my suitcase closed. There was a loud fan in the room and a rattling a/c in the bathroom window. The shower fittings were adventurous and the water flow very low. And the rental requirements did not make me feel really welcome, read yourself to make your own opinion.
I had a quick dip in the water in the morning and left a day early.
In general, I would rather pay 10 bucks more and have a decent shower and a/c and no bugs in my room.
GGuest UserA nice boutipue hotel small but smelly!! After big dissappointing before this place we had a high expetation! But been quick panelized again! The room a very small, and with almost 3500 per night overprized! No kettle, no ref, no hot water, very bad internet, and a very welcome early in the morning staff by 6am which was very noisy! After 7pm was the mysic switch on, noisy continue! At the terraze you getting anoid from local vendors over lobster, fish, pasalubongs and more things you does not need! At the end i had enough! Noise level fare to high! We paid for 4 nights after 1 night we get informed we will not receive anything back!!! Very unprofessionel handling of complains Pool water is green many tiles are damaged and wood is rotten
RRoving38655572324One of the worst stays I have ever experienced in a supposed resort. Firstly paid over ₱7000 for a room to fit 3 adults and a kid. The room was very tired, not very clean, tv did not work properly and very basic in amenities. Not worth with the price! The overall resort is very tired. It needs a major refurbishment. Paint is peeling, large cracks in the building, garden returning to jungle etc! Staff are not at all friendly or flexible. Arrrived with our family at 12pm after a long drive. Requested an early check in. Advised they are just cleaning the room now. I said that is great can you advise how long until will be ready. The reply you can not access it until 2pm at the earliest. Wow. Thanks. The free breakfast is average basic Filipino style breakfast food. It is a buffet format only 7am to 9am. Very limited hours for a supposed resort. Also requested if we could just take. plate to our room (literally a minute from where the food is served) to be told no not possible. The location is average. On a busy highway. Not sure where they get Waterfront for the name of the hotel as the only water close by is the run down pool with a run down bar. The bar has chairs that look like they have been recycled from a trash site. The bar staff did not know how to make basic cocktails and constantly referred to a 'menu' with the expected result being average overpriced drinks. The final and worst part of this once in a life experience was the check out process. We went to check out around 11.15am well before the noon requirement. After handing in the keys and and the deposit slip for the ₱1000 to be returned in full (we did not consume anything in the room) I just stood there for about 10 mins. I asked why the delay. Advised housekeeping was checking the room. Ok so I sat down. After another 20 mins chased them. Finally advised they would be keeping my deposit because of supposed stain on pillow case and sheet. We were invited to inspect the linen. First, the pillow case was like this whern we arrived! Second, the small dirt marks on the sheet were not stains at all and clearly would be cleaned in a standard wash.! After my wife argued the ridiculous of the accusation and the ridiculous of not getting a tiny bit of dirt out in a standard wash we were finally given our deposit in full. This I expect was a scam attempt to falsely pocket our deposit. The whole check out experience took over 45 mins and was embarrassing in that the false accusations were directed at us in front of other customers. If there is one resort/hotel to avoid this is it! If you are crazy enough to stay there now you now only have your self to blame!
GGuest UserI chose this place by the sea for work and relaxation. This is my second stay. I wanted to relax, but I can't sleep at all because of the music and strange voices from the bar next door. I should have requested a quiet room when I checked in. It was too noisy, so I asked to change the room to the opposite side, but it was refused as it was fully occupied. (It wasn't fully booked) If the next room to the guided room is a bar, I have no choice but to give up and put up with it. If the adjacency is the hotel side, it is quiet. Even if there is a vacancy, they will not deal with it. There is no need to spend money to stay in a hotel where you can't sleep, so there will be no next time. It's a shame because my first impression was good. The staff at the front desk was also disappointing. Meal is Filipino food, but coffee is bad. (Did you reheat yesterday's?)
JJun DealcaWe enjoyed the place, though we did not used all the pool and slides. We spent more time on kiddie pool and wave pools.my 2 yr old son enjoyed it. It needs some repairs for safety, like the railing on one slide is alredy gone. Kiddie pool is right beside the rampage pool, not a good setup parent must watch their small kids closely make sure they dont cross.
The beach is not suitable for swmming, there are some trashes, you wont notice it unless you swim, its best just for sports activities.
As for the room, its good except for the plumbing which did not work on our last day and also the chairs are already defective, need replacement or repair. But we got the good view of the pool and the subic bay.
The staff are friendly and always ready to assist.
GGuest UserIf this place will be renovated I will surely go back. But unfortunately it is an old hotel. Before entering zambales there will be a checkpoint so basically we need an antigen test before entering the place.
I thought the pool with slides is 5-6ft deep but it's just 4ft. And the other pool which I think is the deeper one is full of moss.
DDei JimenezLocation very accessible to everything
Super friendly and accommodating staffs.
Cable TV and internet are moody. Sometimes smooth, sometimes no signal.
There is hot and cold shower, but there were rooms that the hot shower is not working, or needs time to heat again.
Collects garbage if you put it outside your door.
DderektripsNew and improved rooms and restaurant. I always stay here. The staff is friendly and pleasant. The pool is secluded and relaxing. Only steps away from the beach. Lots of bars within walking distance. You can find local cuisine as well as American food nearby.
