The staff is very nice. The room has a terrace. There are boiled eggs and fruits for breakfast. The baguettes are also delicious. You have to order coffee, chocolate, and tea with the staff, and the staff will make them for you.

Convenient location, 9 minutes walk to the train station. There are also many restaurants near the hotel. The room is large and has a terrace with a clear view of the Matterhorn. There is also a free buffet breakfast too!

It looks like an old traditional lodging.
You can see the Matterhorn peak from the accommodation.
The service and friendliness are top notch.
Breakfast is basic.
The bedding is well organized and the inside of the accommodation is clean
The sense of time cannot be ignored.
The lift speed is very fast.

It is convenient because it is close to the bus stop of the circulation bus. Walking is no big deal. Google Maps recommends stairs, so if you ignore it and go along the river to the Japanese bridge, there is an elevator, which is convenient. The reception is easy here, there is no one at the reception so let's call out in a loud voice. The room is clean. Is there a little more for breakfast? Did you go to two observation decks in Zermatt?

Great location, really good size room, comfortable and clean. Really good service. Our room had a nice balcony with a superb view of the Matterhorn. Breakfast was very nice and the three members of staff gave a really good service, attentive to all hotel guests and ensuring we had what we needed. My only criticism which was why I gave a four was the layout of breakfast. The meat selection was placed directly behind the cheese, the guests were using the same cutlery to pick up the meat and then the cheese. For those who don’t eat meat it’s very off putting, the meat and cheese, vegetarian products should be separated. Other than this a huge thanks to the three staff pictured.

I was in the region on a hiking holiday and the Hotel Rhodania was a perfect resting place for a long weekend. A warm welcome by the staff, very comfortable rooms and an outstanding breakfast with convenient location. This place is an excellent value for Zermatt if you are travelling solo or with a family. Thank you!

It was about a 12 minute walk from Zermatt station. There is no hotel pick-up service, so if necessary, use an electric taxi. There is a SPAR nearby that is open from 7:00 to 20:00, where you can buy most things. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Migros and the Coop in front of the station. Bakeries, sports shops, restaurants and bars are also nearby. The Ski Bus Green Line bus stop is located under the Japanese Bridge (Kirchbrücke) and can be accessed by elevator from the bridge. The Red Line bus stop is located at the end of the elevator, so it was convenient to take the bus in any direction. There is a reception desk up the stairs from the road, but since it is a 2-star Garni hotel, there is no common space such as a lobby. There is an elevator. The North Wall Bar & Restaurant is located behind the front desk on the 1st floor and can be entered from outside. Room 304 was a corner room with a view of the Matterhorn. The balcony of this room was from the south to the east, so the view was very nice. The Matterhorn felt quite close. However, there was a construction crane truck, which was a bit of an eyesore. You can smoke on the balcony and ashtrays can be borrowed from reception. There is a wall between the rooms and the next room, so you can have privacy. The twin bed was small, but the duvet and pillows were comfortable, so I had a good night's sleep. You can adjust the temperature of the panel heater yourself. I could hear some noise from the room next door, but it wasn't that bothersome. The room was relatively spacious and had a desk and chair, but no sofa. There was a TV, and you could get information on ski resorts etc. on channel 1. I was able to use the free Wi-Fi without any problems. There were closets and drawers, so it was easy to use even during a long stay. There is a safe inside and you can borrow the key from the reception. There were hooks on the wall near the entrance to hang coats and ski wear. The bathroom has a bathtub, so I was able to relieve my fatigue. There was also a hair dryer, scale, and panel heater. There is no coffee maker or water heater, so I brought an electric kettle, coffee, etc. for the trip. There is no refrigerator, but since it was winter, beer and other drinks were cool enough to be left out on the balcony. The ski room and shoe drying room are on the first floor, accessible by elevator, and with direct access to the street outside. The breakfast buffet had a good selection for a 2 star, with juice, yogurt, ham, cheese, cereal, bread, jam, and fruit. There are not many types of bread. At first, I had to make boiled food myself, but after the machine broke down, I ordered it and it was brought to me. The entrance door is closed from 20:00 to 7:00, but you can open it by entering the code number. All the staff were cheerful and kind. The price was reasonable considering the location, so I would like to use it again when I go to Zermatt.

Simple overall appearance, but not old-fashioned. Large room, good bathroom, and beds. Good location to walk everywhere. Lazy breakfast. Wifi is going well. They don't clean every day. Helpful team.

The house has suffered somewhat in recent years. But what is completely made up for by the extremely friendly and helpful new staff (operators). The view from the room was gigantic. The bathrooms in the rooms are newly renovated and it is expected that this beautiful modern style will be extended to the rooms.
