A good hotel for a business trip to Zhangjigang.
The breakfast has a good standard. Fresh fruits, Chinese noodles, eggs to customers choice and many more is offered. A small gym let you train a bit (could be bigger!). The restaurant is opened till 10:30pm and provides some tasty snacks when the work day lasts a bit longer and the nearby restaurants in the shopping mall are already closed. The Starbucks in the mall opens at 06:30 and is just a 7 minutes walk away.

I have stayed in too many hotels, so I will talk about something professional here. The hotel accommodation is distributed in three buildings. The Crown Building is the hardest to find. It is really hard for outsiders to find it. The parking spaces are shared with other merchants, but the hotel provides free parking spaces. You can park anywhere. The room I stayed in was in the Crown Building. It was very intelligent, large and quiet, with a large flow of shower water. It had all the basic settings of a five-star hotel, including Tmall smart voice control. It was great, but it was a pity that there was no sofa in such a big room. I still don't quite understand it. Is it because I lack money for a sofa? I think it's obviously not. I hope it will be improved in the future. It's really inconvenient without a sofa. I won't go into details. It's a five-star hotel, and I don't need to elaborate.

I stayed in a double bed room. The room was clean and comfortable, the space was large, and the service was also very good. At this price, I can live in such a room. It was much better than expected. My baby liked it very much. I will stay here again next time.

For those who don't dare to travel during the Golden Week, it is definitely a wise decision to choose the small city of Zhangjiagang this time. There is no traffic jam and no large passenger flow. The hotel where we stayed at night is very nice inside and outside. Xiaoxin, a hotel employee, helped us reserve a room early and informed us of the route, which was very considerate. I wish the hotel gets better and better!

Everything you would expect from a five star hotel. I stayed for 5 nights on the 28th floor in July 2024. The huge rooms are well appointed and mostly very quiet- thanks to good double glazing and double thick, rebated doors with seals. It also looks like there are no rooms opposite each other which minimises any hallway noise. The king bed was firm but softer than most that I've had in decades of visiting China. I didn't like that there was only one type of flat pillow in my room. I liked the walls that slide out to separate the bathroom from the bedroom. The shower had excellent water pressure and constant temperature with hot water arriving quickly. Really dark blockout curtains. Fast wifi. breakfast buffet on the 39th floor with mostly western and Asian choices. The machine coffee was average. The extensive view was limited on most of the mornings due to rain and fog. The hotel is directly linked to the Wanda shopping mall, which has Uniqlo, KFC, pizza hut and many restaurants- if you don't feel like paying the exorbitant Marriott food prices. Unfortunately there is no supermarket nearby. Only some mini markets like Lawson.

Except that the hotel is located in a small area and there is not much parking space, everything else is good. The hotel is new and clean, the service attitude of the lady at the front desk is super good, the twin room has two 1.35-meter beds, which is also very nice, and the free laundry service is also very good. Two breakfasts are included with the booking, and we are two adults and one child, and we didn't ask for extra money. The latest check-out time is 3 o'clock, which is also great. Finally, I have a small suggestion for improvement, that is, it is recommended that the room include a large non-woven or plastic bag like other hotels, on which the hotel name can be printed, so that it is convenient for travelers to pack dirty clothes, and it can also play a promotional role. At the end of the check-out, the lady at the front desk also gave a small gift. Although it is not a valuable thing, it reflects the hotel's thoughtfulness.

The large disc could hold many small items. The breakfast is also quite rich. The family is quite satisfied with everything and thinks it is very cost-effective! The noodle stalls include fried fish and braised meat, and the cold dishes include beef and jellyfish. Although it is the Spring Festival, since Zhangjiagang is not a popular city, the hotel does not increase the price. There is welcome fruit every day, 2 bottles of drinks in the small refrigerator are free, and 2 bottles of homemade yogurt are given as a gift on the day of check-out. GGuest UserBecause I am a gold member of InterContinental, I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Express Chengdong when passing through Zhangjiagang during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays. Overall, I was very satisfied. The day of check-in was the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the location was not close to tourist attractions, so there were not many guests that night. The car could be parked in the inner courtyard behind the hotel. The space was very empty. It would be better if it could be equipped with charging piles (I took a tram). The hotel's service level has maintained the high standards of the Intercontinental Group. Children's toiletries and evening restaurant snack experience coupons are provided to the children when they check in. In addition, the lobby is also equipped with toys and chess and cards that children like, and the front desk also provides fruits before leaving. Overall, It is said that it is the most satisfactory among the many Holiday Inn Express hotels I have stayed at. I will choose it again next time I pass by.

The hotel is very hygienic, the service attitude is very good, and there is a dedicated person to operate the elevator. The only drawback is that the access card expires three times in two days. Although it is caused by various reasons, it is quite annoying. Overall I highly recommend this place.
