Lanou Hotels in Zhangye

A fantastic hotel. I usually don’t like staying in big hotels as they tend to be soulless, but this one was really special. From the fresh cucumber face mask to the hot soak for your feet, they are incredibly thoughtful and kind. The service is fantastic. They were really helpful to us as foreigners, highly recommend!

The hotel is still in the trial stage and will be officially opened on the 9th. It can be seen that the hotel investment owner is a person with strength, feelings, and his own preferences. He has his own property and a customized hotel tailored for him. The corridors, functional areas, and the length, width, and height of the room are practical and atmospheric. All the materials used are relatively high-end, and the entire decoration style is Chinese. Breakfast was also carefully prepared. Some ingredients were expensive, such as prawns and shrimps, but unfortunately there were no fried eggs. The biggest shortcoming is that only the hot air conditioner in the room is open, and the temperature is very high, which affects the quality of sleep. At night, I can only expose my feet outside the quilt when I sleep. I called the front desk and the answer was that there was no cold air cooling, only hot air conditioning, or turn off the hot air conditioner, but in fact it couldn't be turned off. The temperature inside was too hot, which neither saved energy consumption nor reduced the experience.

Hygiene: The carpet is a bit stained Environment: Very good, West Bus Station is right downstairs, and the location is quiet! The corridor has antique-like furnishings and the passage is wide. There is also a museum on the third floor of the hotel, but it’s a pity that we don’t have enough time to visit it. The beds are also unique. Facilities: The hot water for bathing comes out quickly but not hot enough! Bedside touch screens are generally problematic. For example, a ”night light” can cause an alarm at the door. There is a humidifier. Service: The front desk service is good! Great turndown service! They just didn’t remind me that there was breakfast.

Just completed a wonderful three night stay at the Zhangye Holiday Inn. Perhaps most Silk Road tourists do not spend three nights in Zhangye but we wanted to visit both the popular and more “off the beaten path” historical sites nearby. This Holiday Inn is up to international standards - the staff was very professional, courteous and well trained, the rooms were modern and well-maintained, and even the buffet breakfast restaurant manager spoke English. This is probably one of the few (if not the only) more Westernized hotels in Zhangye) and we had a very good stay and experience in this hotel in Zhangye.

This is the best traveler accommodation you can find in Zhangye. Rooms and dorms are sparkling clean, and so are the common toilets, cleaned several times daily as I observed. The showers are on the upper floors, and this could be really the only drawback if one comes when it's cold. Otherwise, the atmosphere is great - plenty of Chinese and international travelers to share evenings and meals, and they organize affordable tours to the Danxia scenic area and also Mati si and Jingta temples. We took one and were very happy with the driver and the service and made the best out of our day in Zhangye. Book without exitation!

The location of the hotel is very good, the front desk service is also very good, clean and hygienic, there are many restaurants nearby, the Yili Laoma chicken is delicious, the beef is also delicious, the boss of Dachai beef rice is very good and delicious, 8 yuan for a big bowl, walking distance It takes a few minutes to get to Zhangye Museum. The shuttle bus returns from Colorful Danxia at 18:30, so if you want to wait for sunset, you need to charter a bus for 150 round trip. Danxia at sunset is indeed different.

The hotel is five minutes away from Zhangye West Station and across the road. The location is great. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room provide plenty of light and the linens are very clean. The bathroom comes with a disposable toilet seat. The hot water for bathing is particularly strong. The furnishings are high-end and the stay is very comfortable. The breakfast is good and rich in variety. In short, it is a great hotel with good everything.

I also received welcome fruits, yogurt and sour plum soup, which gave me a wonderful feeling of being at home! Although the location of this hot spring hotel is a bit remote (that is to say, it is a bit far from the center of Zhangye old city), the food in the nearby Lan Kwai Fong exclusive private cuisine restaurant is really good. For 88 yuan, you can eat a pound of Zhangye food. The specialty dish is ”hand-caught mutton”. Stay in a hotel, soak in hot springs, eat mutton, it’s so beautiful😊😊😊

I selected a five-star hotel in Zhangye on Ctrip, but there was only one and it was a little far from the West Station. I saw the four-star Runhu Holiday Hotel and was surprised that there were only 8 negative reviews among more than 1,600 reviews, and the score was as high as 4.9. I was a little curious. Not long after booking, the hotel called and booked a pick-up car for us. As soon as we arrived at the station, the driver called and told me his location politely and accurately. When we got out of the station, I saw the driver in uniform and wearing a work badge standing at the exit. He helped us carry our luggage to the car, and patiently answered our questions while the car was on the road. His narration of Zhangye's history was interesting and impressive. After arriving at the hotel, the doorman, the front desk and the driver all greeted us warmly. The front desk had upgraded our room and completed the check-in procedures professionally and quickly. The driver took us to the room, introduced the facilities in the room, and then said goodbye politely. When we went out in the afternoon, we saw the driver standing at the front desk and other staff serving guests. At this time, I felt that he was not only a driver, but also too versatile. After working for so long, he was still energetic and well-mannered. I admire him. The hotel lobby and corridors are bright and elegant. Although it has been open for six years, the facilities are well maintained. There are public telephones at the corners of each floor for disinfection supplies. The room is large, and the bedding and toiletries are high-end. What is particularly surprising is that the bath towels and bathrobes are specially packaged and sealed, which is very attentive. There is plenty of drinking water and free drinks. Fruits and snacks were delivered in the afternoon, and room service knocked on the door in the evening. It turned out to be to deliver hot milk to us! The hotel's breakfast variety is relatively rich, the dishes are fresh, local delicacies are also made on site, and you can also make your own San Paotai tea! . There are many guests in the restaurant. The tablecloths, curtains and floors of the restaurant are very clean. Of course, it is not only the restaurant. It feels that the management has very detailed and strict requirements for hygiene. I had dinner at the hotel once. The à la carte dishes tasted good. I especially liked the duck egg yolk lily. Lanzhou's specialty is quite fresh. I have stayed in many hotels, but I feel that the service of this four-star hotel can be a model for many hotels of the same star or even five-star hotels to learn from. It serves customers with kindness and professionalism, and also wins respect and praise for the hotel and individuals. I believe that the hotel will get better and better because of this. When traveling to Zhangye, Runhu Holiday Hotel is the first choice. Five-star environment and service, four-star price, come on!
