All good except the room service, which I was forced to use, as I had to work late from my room. Ordering was not at all simple (having not spotted the QR code notice on the fridge work top. But response was swift, so too was delivery of the order. However, the ”Ceasar Salad” was sorrowful! Lettuce leaves awash in some sort of watery white fluid, with no discernable taste, some croutons and a few pieces of dried bacon. Especially disappointing given how lovely the fruit and vegetables are most of the time in China. Main course ”Lemon and Herb Chicken” should have been listed as ”Lemon and Herb Skin and Bones”!!! There was virtually NO actual chicken meat. Roated tomatoes and asparagus were lovely, Dessert was uninspiring, but compared to the salad and main course for sure the best course. The Wine? Completely undrinkable. Opened, poured a small amount to taste, spoilt. It happens, sadly! Would be a good idea to open the wine to test before serving

Environment: The hotel is at the foot of the mountain. It is very quiet at night. I heard birds singing in the morning. The room is in another building. You have to go in from the main entrance, take the elevator to the next floor, walk a distance, and then take the elevator upstairs. It's too troublesome. It's very inconvenient to go around. Facilities: Generally OK, free fruit is provided in the room. However, the toilet should be replaced with a new one. It doesn't even have a heating function. It's cold to sit on it. The shower is too small, the water volume is relatively small, and the washing is not comfortable. It should be upgraded. The place to put towels is too far away from the glass door of the bathroom, which is not convenient to take towels. Remember to bring towels before taking a shower. Hygiene: Generally satisfied, the sofa in the room is really dirty, and the bathroom mirror is very dirty and not cleaned properly. Service: Very good service

It's very comfortable. The supplies are all disposable and very clean. The front desk of the hotel is also very welcoming. If you need something, you can call and order directly. It was my first time to stay at Jiji. I didn’t expect that the room was big, the facilities were complete and comfortable, the environment was clean, the service attitude was very good, and the bedding was comfortable. This time I was pressed for time and didn’t have time to have breakfast. The guy at the front desk prepared dry snacks for us. It was very nice. intimate! Will stay again if I have the chance.

The location of the hotel is excellent! Walking distance from the train station and many restaurants and stores in the area. The breakfast was really delicious and the variety was a good balance between western and Chinese. The rooms were a little small considering the price, but they were very clean. There was a problem with the AC system, because the settings could not be changed from heat, and we were getting extremely hot. The bed was so comfortable. It made us want to sleep so long. The front desk clerk was not very friendly or welcoming. He kept coughing and therefore was a bit hasty to check us in. Overall, I would say the stay was enjoyable purely for a few amenities, and I would recommend the hotel, but not for a long stay.

The front desk clerk TomLiu helped us upgrade to a river view suite. The room was large and clean, and the bedding was very comfortable. However, the water in the shower was not very strong! I will choose to stay here again next time.

I stayed at the Magnolia Hotel four times from 2022 to 2024. It has convenient transportation and is only one road away from Zhenjiang South Station. It is not affected by the high-speed rail after 10 o'clock in the evening, but it is highly recommended for high-speed rail landscape enthusiasts.
