The room was incredibly clean, tidy and comfortable. Nicely located between the gaoyi national park and the dongjianghu tourist area. The service was exceptional. The owner drove me 3km to a wonderful place to get some food, helped me plan travel arrangements for the next part of my journey and also offered to drive me to the bus terminal. By far the best service and accommodation I have had in my 2 week tour of China. Highly recommend

This hotel wasn't very crowded, and I'm so grateful to the owner for the free upgrade – it really enhanced our experience! The room was clean, the toiletries were high-quality, and there was a large screen TV. The butler service was very thoughtful, definitely a bonus! They even helped with our luggage! The common area on the first basement level was warmly decorated, and the back door on that level opens right onto the riverside, making for a great environment. If I ever go to Chenzhou or Zixing again, I'll definitely choose Zide!

As you can see in the pictures, the lobby and rooms are bright and spotless, with no unpleasant odors. 【Bed and Air Conditioning】The mattress is very soft, not cheap bedding, and feels great against the skin. You don't even need to put on a sheet cover, which is very convenient! The air conditioning is also very powerful, yet it's surprisingly quiet, not disturbing your rest—better than many five-star hotels! 【Entertainment Facilities】The pool table is relatively new. I played a couple of games there every day—so comfortable! Also, there's even a free Switch on the second floor—can you believe it?! 【Food】The owner was incredibly welcoming, recommending many restaurants on the first day and even picking us up and dropping us off. None of them were bad! Especially the **Shell Boxed Meals—yyds! I ate there for a week! [Fun] The owner is quite playful; he brought a drone to play with us. A few of us went to a small canyon with Danxia landforms. This place was even more interesting than Xiaodongjiang, which I visited later, because it was undeveloped and more pristine! [Other] The owner also sang karaoke with us and introduced me to a song called ”Post-Rock” (or ”Slow Rock,” I can't quite remember). The song was fun, but it didn't do justice to the owner's personal charm. His goal this year seems to be skydiving or paragliding; I wish him success! [Summary] Danxia red cliffs reflected in the setting sun, Chenzhou is like a dream, no need to return! Mugen Youth Hostel, definitely worth a stay!

Right after parking at the guesthouse's back entrance, even before I stepped into the room, I caught a glimpse of the shimmering river nearby. A gentle breeze, carrying the fresh scent of the water, instantly swept away the fatigue from my journey. When I checked in, the owner smiled and told me the room had a direct river view. The moment I opened the door, I was completely stunned—the floor-to-ceiling window offered a full panoramic view of the river. The river was wide, and I could take in the lush greenery and walkways on both banks, even the distant bridge was clearly visible. I didn't even need to step outside; I could simply sit on the sofa by the window and enjoy the entire river view. The room also had a balcony. In the evening, I watched the sunset slowly dip into the river, painting the water in warm golden hues. At night, I saw the lights on the opposite bank gradually illuminate, creating a particularly soothing night scene with the sparkling water. It's truly a wonderful place for relaxation and unwinding!

Moreover, the sound insulation of the homestay is very good, and you can sleep peacefully at night without being disturbed by the outside world.

This stay was fantastic! The room had excellent natural light and was decorated in a very cozy way, making me feel incredibly relaxed in bed. The hotel environment was excellent, and the rooms were fully equipped. Located by Dongjiang Lake, the view of the lake was immediately apparent upon opening the curtains. The two receptionists were very friendly. They even provided a complimentary breakfast for our group of three, which was fantastic. The staff reminded us to only book the room if we were satisfied, to avoid having to pay a discount if we were not happy with it. Seeing how attentive and responsible the staff were, and being very satisfied with the room, we booked immediately. Overall, we were very satisfied.

When we left, the owner was also very nice and helped us book a car to Chenzhou West Railway Station. When we first arrived, the owner recommended us a restaurant that the locals go to, and even lent us an electric scooter for us to go around! ! It’s really good! It is also very close to Xiaodong River. You can walk to the scenic area with your ID card and take a bus. And! ! There is a charging station behind the hotel, which is very convenient. The hotel only takes about 10 minutes to Xiaodongjiang Scenic Area and about 20 minutes to Gaoyiling. It is highly recommended.
