Excellent location. Walking distance from Zurich HB. Breakfast was included in the price. Spread was just right. Family room was a decent size. No kettle but was given one upon request. Will definitely book again

The room is very small and only accommodates one bed. There is no room for one person in it, and the price/performance ratio is not high. The parking lot is far away, and every time you enter and exit, you have to ask someone to open the door

My son and I visited Zurich and booked this hotel for only one night. The people were extremely friendly and accommodating. For my son and I the room was perfect. The place was clean and the morning breakfast was great. Lastly, the location was in an area with plenty of restaurants and shopping. Across the river was the train station and more stores. If I visit Zurich again I will stay at this location.

We chose the Hotel Alexander based on its location and great reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was not as good as the reviews led me to believe. They advertised underground parking, but instead, we were taken to a small area behind a gate that looked like residential parking. There was no lighting, so I was worried about the safety of our rental car, but thankfully, we didn't have any trouble. Our room was definitely not as pictured. The bed was against the wall, and it was now wide enough for bedside tables. The bathroom was tight but functional, except for the shower, where the cover for the drain did not attach, so we were left with an open drain hole. Two bright spots - the location, and the breakfast.

Location just a very short walk from the train station is a big plus. Especially as the hotel is located in a busy area of shops, restaurants, cafes etc etc. so perfect spot for walking around and exploring the area. Hotel is clean, which we look for above all, and staff were polite and helpful. The extra touches with the portable wi-fi and free passes to the zoo and museum were much appreciated and a great cost saving from having to buy tickets. The room was adequate size for two people and similiar in size as to what travellers to the area should be used to. Lobby area is quite busy as just a few steps in from the street which is always busy. We faced the street but with the window closed were not bothered by street noise. Greta spot.

Clean room in great location. Zurich is an expensive city so the room was in proportion to the cost. Expensive. Only place I have stayed that came with complimentary ear plugs at check in. Included buffet breakfast was very nice and got the day off to a good start. Perfect location of local restaurants and walking the laneways.

Wonderful hotel. My room was quiet though in the lively beautiful old city center. So happy with the bath tub after a long and tiring train travel. Really good breakfast buffet, lots of choice and everything fresh. Good coffee too. Very friendly staff. Free mini bar (beer, water, juice and cola).
