🇯🇵 Fukuzuka Omakase experience
Itadakimasu and let me bring you to Fukuzuka, a sushi restaurant with a secret entrance in Tokyo. They are located within Shinjuku city and the nearest station is Lidabashi station. This restaurant is run by Chef Fukusuka and he is an expert in serving his curated dishes in varying temperature. They are open on selected days for dinner service so a reservation will be required. It is also easy to make a reservation via their website. But they only have like 4 limited seats at the counter so you will need to make reservations in advance. At every omakase, a menu is not presented but some chef will provide a printed menu for every guest and you can bring this menu back as souvenir. Each ingredient is specially selected and sourced domestically from other prefecture or from small farmers. This method ensures high quality ingredients for every meal. KADOYA HOTEL, SHINJUKU
#tokyo It is a 3 star hotel which looked old from the outside. But once you enter the hotel lobby, the atmosphere gets a lot better. The location is great, only a few hundred metres away from the Shinjuku station, hence do not be surprised if the room price is a bit steep. Do choose a hotel room with windows as the view outside facing the street would be pleasant. As you can see from the pictures, our hotel room has two big windows and so the room was quite bright during the day. The hotel room is clean, spacious and well kept, so is the bathroom. Lots of convenience stores, restaurants around and so it is very, very convenient. The usual facilities, washer dryer and ice maker are also available. 🇯🇵｜Tokyo Michelin One Star Tempura
We visited one of the top three tempura specialty restaurants in Tokyo, called "Fukamachi Tempura" . This restaurant is also a Michelin one-star restaurant, and we were lucky enough to secure a dinner reservation with head chef Masao Fukamachi. Fukamachi's tempura has a very thin batter that is not greasy at all, and it is fried and served fresh. We were surprised by the fine dining quality of the tempura. The restaurant uses two different oil temperatures for frying different ingredients, and each piece of tempura is served with a different dipping sauce to bring out the best taste and flavor of the food. There are three different set menus to choose from, and we chose the 26,000 yen option, which included high-quality ingredients such as eel and shirako. #本地遊 #urbanexplorer #foodie

When it comes to local food and must tries, one of the food items in Tokyo which you will have to try is called Monjayaki. While waiting time is long, you will be able to taste this food which most locals eat. It is made on the spot after you order, and each table will have it served and the staff cook in front of you. Charming Imperial Palace Garden in Tokyo 🇯🇵
#japantrip 📍The East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, Tokyo, Japan We visited this gardens of the Imperial Palace in Tokyo while travelling there and we had a nice experience here. The garden is vast and huge, beautifully built and well maintained. The walkway, the park, the wide green lawn of the park was nicely maintained and was really beautiful during our visit. We visited during winter, thus the flowers weren’t blooming just yet. Would really love to revisit this place in spring to see the flowers in full bloom! We spent around an hour strolling around the park, taking touristy and scenic photos, it was such a laid back and relaxing day spent here! The picturesque scenery is definitely worth a visit!
Wazumi TOKYO
Today's lunch ramen goes to "Wazumi TOKYO" in Shinagawa Ward. 100 famous restaurants with tabelog rating of 3.87. I don't come to Shinagawa Ward so much, so I thought it was a chance and arrived at around 11:30. First of all, you shouldn't drive to this shop. The rate of vacant parking lots is low. Waiting for about 6 people upon arrival. Buy a meal ticket first and hand it over. Entered in less than 15 minutes. Donburi less than 5 minutes after sitting down. First of all, soup. A delicious soy sauce with an exquisite taste that is neither thick nor light. The taste is somewhat similar to the rabbit in Shinsen, Shibuya-ku. The noodles are thin noodles straight. It's thin but elastic noodles, and it's delicious because it's well entwined with the soup. Next time I want to eat Trinity ramen. Personal evaluation ★★★★ ☆

🌸 Sakura/Cherry Blossom 🌸
Cherry blossom season in Tokyo is truly a magical experience, thousands of trees burst into bloom, dousing the stunning shades of pink. The cherry blossom dates are start on 20th March and peak on 29th March. I went to Shinjuku Gyeon, Ueno Onshi Park, Chidorigafuchi Moat & Senso-ji viewing cherry blossom, many of the cherry blossom viewing events and festivals were canceled or scaled back due to Covid-19, many are limiting their viewing to strolling under the trees rather than drinking and eating in traditional party style. Despite cherry blossom, i enjoyed the Japanese foods as well especially ramen, tempura & sushi. #nationalpark
