Seeing giant pandas in Chengdu is a natural and cultural journey with a close encounter with the "national treasure". As the region with the largest number of captive giant pandas in the world, Chengdu has built a three-dimensional viewing space that simulates the natural habitat of giant pandas based on core places such as the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. Surrounded by lush bamboo forests and streams, more than 200 giant pandas in a semi-wild environment show their cute behaviors such as chewing bamboo, climbing trees, and playing, providing tourists with a precious opportunity to observe the daily life of the "national treasure" up close.

Panda Base Exploration: At the Chengdu Research Base, wander along ecological pathways to observe giant pandas feeding, playing, and resting in simulated natural habitats. Morning visits offer the best viewing opportunities, including chances to see adorable panda cubs.

Base Visit + Guided Tour: Join knowledgeable guides for deeper insights into panda behavior and conservation stories. These expert-led tours provide privileged viewing perspectives and opportunities to ask questions about these remarkable animals.

Base Visit + Hands-on Activities: Participate in engaging experiences like preparing special nutrient meals for pandas or watching educational documentaries. Under professional supervision, these activities offer unique perspectives on panda conservation efforts and daily care routines.

Chengdu! Chunxi Road! Rooftop! So chill!

Chengdu! Chunxi Road! Rooftop! So chill!

✨Chengdu Chunxi Road Hidden Gem Hotel | Return Courtyard Hotel✨ 📍 Great location The hotel is located at No. 77 Huaxing Zheng Street, Jinjiang District. Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li are just a few minutes' walk away, making it super convenient for shopping and dining. There are also many attractions nearby, such as Kuanzhai Alley and the Panda Base, making it easy to get around. 🏡 Unique design Stepping into the hotel is like traveling back to the late Qing Dynasty. The courtyard is laid out in a "口" shape, with blue bricks and gray tiles, original wood courtyard landscaping, and curved sloping roofs and reliefs that add dynamic beauty. The low-saturation black and white color scheme perfectly blends wabi-sabi style with modern comfort, creating a tranquil world in the bustling city. 🛏 Comfortable rooms The hotel has only 16 rooms, each of which is a work of art, ranging from 60 to 120 square meters, with private courtyards or terraces, and each room has its own view. Black pine furniture, wooden doors and windows, and the interweaving of wood and tea fragrance create a Zen atmosphere. The imported latex mattresses, duck down quilts, and other bedding, as well as Dyson hair dryers, smart toilets, and other facilities, are all five-star standards, making it very comfortable to stay. 🎈 Highlights of the public area The Star Pavilion leads directly to the rooftop, where you can "lift the roof" and watch the stars and night view at night, full of romance. At the Return Tea House, you can enjoy tea and chat with friends, and enjoy the leisurely time in Chengdu. There is also a private hot spring pool, where you can soak away your fatigue after a long day. 🍜 Delicious food The hotel is located on Huaxing Street, next to the historic Panshi Market Braised Food Store, as well as Xiyue City Tan Tofu, Dandan Noodles, and other authentic Chengdu snacks, which will satisfy your cravings in no time.

Unbounded experience ♾️

#hotelstaycation There's clearly a distinction between a hotel 🏨 experience and a home 🏡 experience; and in my exploration of numerous hotels in China - The Langbo Chengdu is truly a homey feel. It comes under Unbounded collections of Hyatt group, and they do stand true to that category. I couldn't have asked for a better breakfast in Chengdu than the beef noodles 🍜 with bamboo 🎍 shreds in it. Maybe the panda 🐼 will like me more, because of my likeness towards bamboo 😜 #urbanexplorer#tripblazers#summervacation

Chengdu | A City You Won't Want to Leave

Chengdu, a city brimming with vitality, boasts the prosperity of a modern metropolis while retaining its ancient charm. Whether you're a food enthusiast, a culture seeker, or a nature lover, Chengdu has something for everyone. 1. Best Time to Visit Chengdu enjoys a mild climate with four distinct seasons. Spring (March–May) sees average temperatures between 15–20°C, a time when everything comes back to life and cherry blossoms and peach blossoms are in full bloom🌸. Autumn (September–November) offers cool weather with average temperatures between 18–22°C, perfect for strolling through the streets and experiencing Chengdu's laid-back atmosphere. These two seasons are the best times to visit Chengdu, with pleasant weather ideal for sightseeing. 2. Must-See Attractions Wuhou Shrine: A temple commemorating Zhuge Liang and other heroes of the Shu Han Kingdom. With its red walls and bamboo shadows, this ancient and elegant shrine is the only one in China where a monarch and his subjects are enshrined together. Immerse yourself in the rich historical and cultural atmosphere and experience the charm of the Three Kingdoms culture, appreciating the wisdom and sentiments of the ancients. Jinli Ancient Street: Located right next to Wuhou Shrine, Jinli Ancient Street comes alive at night with red lanterns hanging high🏮, transporting you back in time. The ancient street offers a variety of traditional snacks, handicraft shops, and captivating performances by folk artists, such as face-changing and fire-breathing. Prepare to be amazed! Kuanzhai Alley: Composed of Kuan Alley, Zhai Alley, and Jing Alley arranged in parallel, Kuanzhai Alley represents the most well-preserved Qing Dynasty streets in Chengdu. Stroll along the alleys, sip tea, have your ears cleaned, and experience the slow-paced life of Chengdu residents. The unique architecture of western Sichuan makes for stunning photo opportunities📷. Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding: A trip to Chengdu wouldn't be complete without seeing the adorable national treasure, the giant panda🐼. This is the home of giant pandas, where you can watch them eat bamboo, play, and sleep—their cuteness will melt your heart. Remember to arrive early, as pandas are most active in the morning. Du Fu Thatched Cottage: The former residence of Du Fu, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty, offers a serene environment. Here, you can learn about Du Fu's life, appreciate his poems, and experience the life of ancient literati. 3. Food Recommendations Hot Pot: Chengdu hot pot is famous for its spicy, savory, and fragrant flavors. The rich and mellow broth, paired with ingredients like tripe, duck intestines, and beef, offers a truly satisfying culinary experience. Recommended restaurants: Shudaxia Hot Pot, Xiaolongkan Hot Pot. Chuan Chuan Xiang: Various ingredients are skewered on bamboo sticks, cooked in a pot, and dipped in special sauces for a delightful and addictive treat. Gangguanchang Wuqu Xiaojungen Chuan Chuan Xiang is a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Long Chao Shou: These dumplings boast thin wrappers, generous fillings, and delicious broth. Various flavors are available, such as red oil chao shou and seafood chao shou. Long Chao Shou's main branch offers the most authentic taste—a must-try! Zhong Shui Jiao: These pork dumplings are served with a special red oil dressing, garlic sauce, sesame oil, and other seasonings. The slightly sweet and salty flavor is simply irresistible. Ice Jelly: After a hearty meal, a bowl of ice jelly is the perfect way to cool down and refresh your palate. Topped with brown sugar syrup, crushed peanuts, raisins, and glutinous rice cakes, it offers a delightful mix of textures and flavors. 4. Things to Note Most Chengdu cuisine is spicy. If you can't handle too much spice, inform the waiter in advance and ask for recommendations for mild or non-spicy dishes. When visiting the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, avoid loud noises and do not feed the pandas. Follow park regulations and protect these adorable national treasures. Chengdu has a convenient public transportation system. Download the Tianfutong app for easy access to subways and buses. Shared bikes are also a great option for exploring the city's streets and alleys. When buying souvenirs at Jinli Ancient Street, Kuanzhai Alley, and other attractions, be mindful of prices to avoid being overcharged. Chengdu is a city full of charm, offering beautiful scenery, delicious food, and the warm hospitality of its people. Come and embark on your own unforgettable journey in Chengdu🎉!

Chengdu's 798 East Suburb Memory

Chengdu's 798 East Suburb Memory

I don't recommend making a special trip to Chengdu! Detailed guide to East Suburb Memory||East Suburb Memory is an international fashion industry park that has been redeveloped from the former site of the state-owned Hongguang Electron Tube Factory, with a focus on 'fashion design and music art as the twin pillars of development' East Suburb Memory is known as 'China's West End of London' and is a national 4A-level tourist attraction 🗺️Location: East Suburb Memory (northeast corner), No. 4 Construction South Branch Road, Chenghua District, Chengdu City 🅿️Self-driving parking: You can navigate to the underground parking lot of East Suburb Memory's east gate 🚈Public transportation: 8 minutes walk from Exit B1 of East Suburb Memory Station on Metro Line 8 Opening hours: All day Tickets: Free, it is recommended not to go on weekends, it's really crowded 👔Dress: Retro, workwear, street, artistic, cool Internet celebrity check-in (📷It's advised to go early for check-in photos, otherwise it's very crowded): The red brick wall with the big 'Chengdu' characters at the North Second Gate Train head square, 'East Suburb Memory' platform The big love heart and next to the traffic lights there's also a big dog (I didn't go because I'm afraid of dogs) Near the south gate, take industrial style photos near the chimney pipes The large lawn at the West Gate camping square There are many coffee shops☕️, bars, cultural and creative shops, trendy brand shops, vintage clothing shops, restaurants, theaters🎦, and art galleries in the park Suggestions + Personal feelings: If you just want to take photos and check in, it's better to go early, otherwise, you'll have to queue My personal feeling is that there's not much to play with, the commercial atmosphere is strong, and once you've walked down the main street, there's not much left. If it's on the way, you can visit cultural and creative shops, trendy brand shops, vintage clothing shops, etc. to feel the vibe of trendy people, but I don't recommend making a special trip

Enjoy a vacation without leaving Chengdu!

Enjoy a vacation without leaving Chengdu!

- We found a great place in Chengdu last weekend. The Christmas spirit is already in the air here 🎄 There are shiny decorations and tall Christmas trees everywhere. The kids loved riding the Christmas train 🚂 We chose the aviation-themed family room for our stay. The kids were immediately drawn to the airplane ✈️ elements in the room. They were so excited and started running around and playing. The room was big enough for our family of four! In the afternoon, we sat around the fireplace with the kids, drinking tea and chatting, enjoying some family time. There is also a heated pool, so you can swim in the warm water even in winter. The dinner buffet had everything from fresh seafood to delicious desserts, and even a Chengdu-style hot pot! The kids took their little plates and wandered around the food stations, picking out their favorite foods and eating with relish. We had a fun weekend without leaving Chengdu! It was great! -

Chengdu + Pandas 🐼

Do you want to get a close look at pandas? - Giant or red or both? You have got to head to Chengdu! 🚖Getting There - we chose to take a DiDi and our professional tip would be to get up early, eat a good breakfast, and head to the panda base as early as possible! It opens at 7:30 and the line starts queueing before that! Cannot blame people for wanting to see the fluffy pandas but if you do not like waiting in long lines — you MUST go early! I’d highly suggest going as early as possible as well to enjoy the mild weather of the morning and the early time, the pandas are more active and moving in the morning 🌅 📍The Chengdu Research Base for Giant Pandas is huge. You can see red pandas, giant pandas, and the educational video the park shows is a good view. it’s about 5-7 minutes long and a good break from walking. If you love pandas, I hope your journeys take you to the Chengdu Research Base for Giant Panda Breeding 🐼 #naturalwonders#culturalattractions#zoo

Hidden in the City | French Romance on Chengdu's Chunxi Road

Hidden in the City | French Romance on Chengdu's Chunxi Road

Whenever I visit a city, I always like to look for those "hidden in the city" corners. 💖 🔹 This is my third time in Chengdu this year. I've seen its many sides in different seasons, and each time I have a surprising experience. 🐼 🔹 Chunxi Road, a century-old golden street, has witnessed a century of Chengdu's core business district. Prosperity is its synonym. ✨ As it extends, narrow streets and alleys hide its deepest memories and original appearance. 🔹 In Zhengkejia Lane, which is steeped in ancient history, I found French vintage style in a Republic of China-style building. A balance of fusion and innovation + an elegant, relaxed vacation vibe. 💕 The terrace, corridor, stairs, art installations, and room layout all exude elegance. 🔹 On a rainy winter night, I had a new experience of "living in a corner of the bustling city, but magically able to calm down the moment I stepped into the hotel." 🏡 🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸 📍Gui Xiang Hotel, Chengdu 🌍 Address: No. 9 Zhengkejia Lane, Chunxi Road, Jinjiang District, Chengdu 🔹🔸🔹🔸🔹🔸 From the hotel, it's a 2-minute walk to the core area of Chunxi Road. I found that all the popular restaurants in my favorites list are within a few hundred meters of the hotel. Whether to go left or right when I go out has become a problem. ☺
