Inns in Jilin, China

We chose a homestay because it was a mother-son trip with two moms, so we had one king bed and one tatami mat. We were pleasantly surprised that the room had a projector screen and a game console. Both boys said it was the best hotel they'd ever stayed in on a trip. The homestay recommended a great driver, and we took a chartered car to Tumen. Although the hotel didn't offer breakfast, the breakfast place diagonally across the street was also very good. They also provided disposable towels and bath towels. Overall, it was a very quiet stay, and I would definitely recommend it.

Second stop on my Northeast China tour: Jilin's Wusong Island. Aren't the heated kangs on Wusong Island, which cost just over 100 yuan, more delicious than those in Xuexiang (Snow Town) that cost over 1,000 yuan? The food and accommodations were excellent, and there were two grandmothers helping me with childcare. In the mornings, my husband even drove me to the Wusong Island—a true personal butler service! [Eat melon] (Late risers don't deserve to see the Wusong Island). I wore a large, flowery Northeastern jacket, built cabbage and corn snowmen, strolled along the Songhua River, and enjoyed sweet and sour pork and all-you-can-eat frozen pears and persimmons... On to the next stop! [Proud]

A nice guesthouse run by an elderly couple. We stayed twice for one night while waiting for a connecting flight. It's a 10-minute taxi ride from the airport to the hotel. The room is small, but everything is clean and tidy, with fresh linens. You can leave your luggage after checkout, and we spent some time exploring the city before our return flight. We checked in quite late because our flight arrived late, but that wasn't a problem. The only inconvenience was that the cafes within walking distance of the hotel close early in the evening.

The environment is pleasant and refreshing. It's spotlessly clean, making life beautiful – a truly reliable hotel. The service, especially at the front desk, is exceptional. You can go to them for anything; they are patient and incredibly helpful. Everyone should seek out Nana at the front desk; this kind and lovely girl deserves a special shout-out for her fiery enthusiasm. There's also a young man with glasses who is very kind, helping with all our bags. The breakfast is also great, very tasty, and the room is super comfortable. Opening the window reveals natural scenery, where you can even spot little squirrels 🐿️.

It was an ideal stay. The autumn in Changbai Mountain is so cool that you have to wear long johns at night. I called the boss in advance to ask for advice. The boss reminded me to bring autumn clothes and jackets, otherwise I would have to suffer from the cold if I don’t go to the main peak of Tianchi. It was already evening when we checked in, and the boss was still waiting for us. We were very touched. Due to the off-season, there were not many people, but the boss still served us enthusiastically. The mountain climbing went smoothly the next day. The weather was very good, and we could go up the mountain as soon as possible. It’s convenient. When you come back, you can get off at the forest farm and go back to the ticket gate to verify it and you can get 25 meters back. In the evening, we asked the boss to book hot spring tickets. It was very helpful. The boss can give you a discount when booking. It’s expensive to go out. Save money, save money, the boss is also very attentive and considerate. In short, it is very convenient to go up the mountain and soak in the hot springs.

The landlady and her family were so welcoming! The guesthouse was so warm and incredibly clean – perfect for someone like me with OCD!! You can even order food there, which I initially thought would be expensive, but quite the opposite, and the food was delicious!! Great value for money! They even gave us fruit. The next morning, they took us to see the sunrise and the rime ice. So thoughtful…and they even had traditional Northeastern Chinese floral cotton-padded jackets to wear.

The room is very clean and warm, which is beyond my understanding of B&B. The owner is very enthusiastic and feels like returning home. I was lucky to see rime when I took photos of the Northeast version. Little Potato likes it very much. I will come again if I have the chance to bring my children.

Very clean, the owner is very helpful. For such fee charged, can't really complain. Pls ask the owner to arrange car to drop you to wusong island for a more comfortable travelling (10 yuan / peson back and forth). She can also arrange a taxi to pick you up from her inn to jilin city/ jilin railway. And must try her Manchu hotpot. Good portion and comforting. Better to bring your own towel though. They provide a mini compress towel which might not be convenient.

The home-cooked taste is worth trying and the price is not expensive. The pickled cabbage dumplings also taste great! Before checking in, I talked to the boss on the phone and asked him the most convenient way to get to the inn. The boss repeatedly told him not to spend too much money. You can buy tickets directly at the passenger terminal next to Jilin Railway Station. It is cheap and safe! When we were about to arrive, the boss drove out to pick us up. In the morning, we pulled him together to watch the rime sunrise. We were very lucky and saw the 5-star rime, which was very beautiful! In the inn, you can also sing karaoke, play mahjong, etc. in the evening. The most unique dressing service, once you put on the big flower jacket, the atmosphere will be there in no time!
