We are Malaysian & can speak mandarin. Don’t worry if you’re non-chinese speaker, they will try their best to communicate with you. Sonzhuju Coffee & Tea Holiday Villa is convenient for those who bring big luggage. They have a service to help carry your luggage too, from the main road (approx 170m). And please let them know once you arrived at the main road! The hotel is away from loud noise & busy from the main area. Cosy place & strategic for us staying in 3D2N. The room was clean. Breakfast included, but for Muslims, please mention that you’re Muslim, then they will prepare you veggie options. And you can choose to have your meal in your room or their eating area.

Ai Fei, a local host from the hotel, was very helpful in arranging our customised tour trip. We texted the hotel via WeChat 8–9 days prior to our arrival in Lijiang. We asked if there was any local there who could advise us on the trip and straightaway they made a group for discussion. He'd make sure that we were all okay & happy to discuss our plan to visit any area that we would like to go to. He arranged our private car trip to JDSM & Blue Moon Valley and brought the ticket for us too. Upon we'd arrived at the hotel, he served us a welcome tea, fruit and flower cake. From the next morning we are going to JDSM & Blue Moon Valley. He advised us on what the do’s and don't prior to our trip. The private driver that he helped arrange for us was also very helpful & patient to ensure that we felt safe going to the place (group chat). He also helped to arrange a private car for us to Shangri-la. Overall, he made our plan and trip smoothly.

As for the Muslims, you can ask him or the hotel host to recommend where the nearest Muslim restaurant they will definitely find for you.
Overall, definitely recommend staying here. We are happy with our stay here.

This hotel is great! The room looks exactly like the pictures online. The location is super convenient for getting around. They even rent out electric scooters on-site, and the staff are really helpful with directions. As someone from Malaysia who isn't familiar with the area, renting a scooter and following their explanations and maps was no problem at all 😂. They also offer a shuttle service to Lijiang, which is really cost-effective and convenient. They pick you up right at the entrance. Facilities: The decor is very ******* in style, with wood being the predominant material in the rooms. It might not have all the amenities of a typical hotel, but it's full of character. Cleanliness: It's quite clean, though there's a faint, elusive yak smell in the hallways (not entirely sure, so beware if you're sensitive to smells); the owner has several cats, which is a huge plus for cat lovers. Environment: The location is right within the ancient town, just over 900 meters from its center. Service: The service is very attentive, and the breakfast is delicious. There were also foreigners staying here. Free airport/high-speed train station/bus station pickup or drop-off: It seems this service is no longer available, but it's very close to the train station, about a 5 km taxi ride, so it won't cost much.

Fantastic location and warm service made my Lijiang experience truly exceptional. I'd love to come back to witness the beautiful 'sunrise over the golden mountain' again. 【Snow Mountain View】Afternoon Tea: The owner personally selected this Dianhong tea from the tea plantation. Even I, who don't usually drink tea, fell in love with it.

I had an amazing stay here which was my favourite after travelling to China for a month. Well located in a quieter and more peaceful section of the ancient town. The design of the hotel itself was stunning! Despite the traditional design, the hotel contained completely modern amenities like smart toilets, bed heaters, AC and fast wifi. The highlight though is the exceptional service from the attentive staff and the lovely hotel owner. They are helpful with recommendations, provide pickup service so you don’t have to carry your luggage through the ancient town and overall provides a very homely and comforting atmosphere. I was even invited to dinner and shared fruits, tea and snacks with me! If that isn’t enough to convince you, they also have four super cute cats! Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re coming to Lijiang.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were given a welcome tea ceremony. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. With his help we even managed to secure tickets for the Snow Mountain Cable Car. He also gave guidance on places of interest and great foodie places recommendations. During one of our tour gorge visits, my wife suffered a fall. The owner immediately offered to take us to a local hospital and even help us navigate the local system to get my wife injuries treated. Very grateful. The hotel is very homely with excellent ambiance and serene feel. Every family members in this family run hotel is very friendly and hospitable. Location wise is excellent very central within the Gucheng and walking distance to the North Gate, the usual pick up point for most tours and Didi. Around the hotel the super hype activities within the Ancient City simply draws you into the merriment and excitement but the hotel is well located that you get your quite rest without the noisy hassle and bussle of a vibrant city. Great stay and value for money.

The owner gave us a free room upgrade. The room was very spacious, equipped with both a heater and a cooler. The owner waited for our van to arrive, greeted us by the roadside, and was ready with umbrellas because of the light drizzle. He then guided us straight into the hotel walkway. It is only a 30-meter walk from the Didi drop-off point. He served us hot tea, oranges, and Chinese tea to help ease our mountain sickness. He always asked if we needed anything.The interior design is traditional. The building has 3 floors, and you can carry your bags up the stairs. It is not too high, even though there is no elevator. The view from the rooftop is very classic, looking just like a scene from an ancient Chinese drama, with a beautiful view of the mountains. It is also within walking distance (just 100 meters) to halal restaurants and the Lijiang Ancient City North Gate. Free laundry service is available.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. The hotel kindly arranged a pickup from the train station, which made our journey much more convenient. Upon check-in, we were welcomed with complimentary tea and chocolates, a thoughtful gesture that made us feel very welcome. The hotel was exceptionally clean, well-organized, and comfortable throughout our stay. Renting e-bikes was also very easy. Since we arrived in the afternoon and rented the bikes for one and a half days, the hotel even offered us a discount, which we really appreciated. As Shangri-La can be quite cold, the hotel also lent us scarves to keep warm when we went out. This small but thoughtful service showed how much they care about their guests' comfort. Overall, the staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shangri-La and would gladly stay here again.

The hotel was in a very convenient and prime location just at the entrance of Dali Ancient City. There are a lot of food options and convenience stores just right outside the hotel both during the day and at night. The service was inpeccable, with the hotel owner helping to carry my luggage to my room or to the car, or to help me with transport arrangements etc. The room was also clean and cosy, with all the listed amenities. Would recommend for sure!

The hotel has a great location, right in Jianshui Ancient Town, with free parking right outside. The guesthouse is decorated in a very stylish way. The rooms are on the third floor, with a huge living room and a view of the lake near the Confucian Temple – a beautiful view indeed. The rooms are quite large, with a wooden interior design. It's not far from Lotus Island and Xianghui Bridge bus station.
