There's an outdoor pool at the hotel, so bring your swimsuits!"

"The hotel is close to train station, but need to walk for around 20 mins to city centre, we think it’s totally fine especially when the weather is good, and the staff recommended us to walk along the river side which is a good idea. The room is very clean, tidy and modern. There is free water, tea and coffee in a pantry near the reception but the reception and pantry will be closed at 11pm everyday. Last but not least, I would like to thanks the staff (a middle age lady) who recommended us a very decent restaurant nearby to conclude our last night in Belgium when we asked for her recommendation. We will definitely choose this hotel again if we visit Ghent again in the future."

"This place is great, very quiet. There's a small bus terminal right outside (many bus routes start there). The bar downstairs looks lively, but the residential area is completely undisturbed. You have to walk down a corridor to get to the rooms, and the corridor door requires a key card to enter, so there's no need to worry about bar patrons accidentally wandering into the residential area (it's very safe).
The hotel itself is also clean. Although there's a construction site nearby, I didn't see any construction happening, and I couldn't even hear any street noise (which I was quite happy about).
It's perfect for anyone arriving in Ghent by Flixbus, as it's less than a 10-minute walk (about 600 meters) from the Flixbus stop."

They even told me about some good souvenir options and festival information.

"Nice and modern hotel. We had a triple room. Friendly staff. There was a small error with the tourist tax. I was told I still needed to pay. After checking out, I looked at the Trip.com app and saw it was already included. After verification, they refunded it. Well resolved. We didn't use it, but they have a nice fitness room. Parking is available on the hotel grounds for 20 EUR per day. The location is in an industrial area, close to the AA Gent football stadium. You can visit the stadium. There's a small fan shop and a supermarket underneath the stadium."

Service at the main desk was professional and friendly. I stayed 4 nights there, and on the last day of my stay, the cleaning lady did not bother to clean the room or take out the trash. I complained about this to the front office lady, and she was apologetic and waived my city tax payment.
Overall, I would still stay there if I need to go on daily intercity train trips as the price is actually quite reasonable. I only ranked the service as 4 stars due to the lapse of cleaning service on the last day."

"I booked a 3-night stay at the Ghent Marriott through Ctrip, checking in from May 11th to May 14th local time. My actual experience was really great. The hotel's design is quite cozy, and the lobby lounge has a high ceiling, making it feel airy and grand. I especially want to mention that when I checked in on the afternoon of May 11th, a bearded gentleman at the front desk warmly welcomed me and helped me with my luggage to my room. That evening, after having a drink at the lobby lounge, I accidentally left my credit card behind. He personally brought it to my room. I hadn't even realized I'd forgotten it, so I was really surprised 😲 and delighted that he remembered my room number. On May 14th (Thursday), my check-out day, I had a flight to catch, but breakfast on that holiday started at 7 AM. When the front desk found out, they helped me coordinate with the restaurant to have an early breakfast. I think both of these small details were really touching. I left a thank-you note and a tip for the bearded gentleman at the front desk since our shifts didn't overlap. The service was excellent, highly recommended!"

It's located right in the heart of Ghent's scenic riverfront, a World Heritage site, one of Europe's top ten design hotels, and on the list of the world's top 100 hotels! Staying here, it truly lives up to its reputation. It's incredibly well-designed, opulent, a genuine antique with a strong sense of culture and history. The classic Baroque style is evident, and the furniture and decor are all traditional European. It exudes the luxurious feel of an ancient European palace! The breakfast was also excellent, especially the breakfast restaurant, which has fantastic views!

Heel ruime kamer, groot bed, mini bar, koffie faciliteit, badkamer met bad en douche, mooi uitzicht op het water.
Vriendelijk personeel bij het onthaal, bij het ontbijt iets minder.
Toffe ontbijtruimte op het 3e verdiep met zicht over Gent en het water.
Ontbijtbuffet goed maar niet luxueus.
Dit hotel is zeker een aanrader!

The location is excellent—convenient, accessible, and close to everything I needed, which made getting around the city very easy. The front desk staff were also incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, making the entire stay even more pleasant.
