The hotel was difficult to locate as there was no clear signage. Due to limited space, they did not allow us to store our luggage, so we had to bring everything back to the train station to use lockers, which meant extra cost for us. I understand that the official check-in time is 3pm, but since we booked three rooms, some flexibility—such as allowing us to place our luggage in one room—would have been appreciated. Other hotels have offered this when we faced similar situations.
The room was also very noisy as the train station is right next door. Light sleepers should avoid this hotel. The staff’s service was average, nothing particularly noteworthy. Aside from these issues, everything else was fine.
I originally stayed at a guesthouse the night before, but was dissatisfied with its cleanliness, so I switched to this hotel the next day. The front desk staff were very friendly, and the room was spacious. The room itself deserves special mention; it had a high ceiling of at least five meters and a magnificent chandelier with adjustable brightness. The bathroom had a window, was spacious, and even had a stool – impeccable attention to detail. The toiletries were L'Occitane. It's a two-minute walk to the No. 1 bus stop for Bruges train station, making transportation extremely convenient; a public laundry is a five-minute walk away; and the Basilica of the Holy Blood and other attractions are just minutes away. The front desk staff and manager were attentive and responsible, and the check-in and luggage storage process was very smooth. Highly recommended!
The hotel is very well located, the staff is really nice and welcome, the room is spacious and it's super quiet despite the world in the hotel. The small plus is the small weelness center but personally it is not very hot, it is not resting and the hammam and the back heat was out of service. For the sauna, you must be in a hurry and ask the hospital to warm it a big half hour before. The fine room is medium. But good hotel is a nice quality/price ratio.
I've spent a good stay
Very nice hotel, both the room design and the backyard are very good. It looks small from the front, but it is actually very good and beautiful. The restaurant is very delicious
This was the most satisfying hotel of my trip to the Netherlands and Belgium. It's located in the city center, with beautiful scenery right outside the door. The hotel's environment, cleanliness, facilities, and service were all excellent. The breakfast, in particular, had a wide variety of options and flavors, which was fantastic! 👍🏻 Definitely worth coming back to!
Breakfast is too bad, can't eat at all, almost can't see the food, this price breakfast is a bit unreasonable, the variety is pitiful, I am really sorry for this price
Cheap and easy to live in, much better than the youth hostels in Brussels and Amsterdam.
It is 10 minutes away from the train station and you can store your luggage for free; there is a relaxing public area with a variety of tableware and kitchen supplies, as well as free coffee and tea bags; it takes about 15 minutes to reach all attractions, and there are many other places nearby There are several supermarkets.
Boutique Hotel Sablon is a pearl in the heart of Brugge. Beautiful rooms, excellent service and a team that immediately gives you the feeling that everything is being arranged for you. The location is ideal for anyone who wants to explore the city, but the hotel feels intimate and quiet. The stylish lounge and warm atmosphere make it completely complete. A absolute adviser.
Perfect location, just behind Market sq (the land mark), take only 10 mins Bus to the Brugges train & bus station. super recommend this place. Staff was friendly and speak well English

Very Good
GGuest UserIt’s a nice hostel. Bed are equipped with curtains that allow privacy. The shared bathroom are clean and spacious.
GGuest UserCozy and nice looking hotel near the center of Bruges.
Nice location - near the center of Bruges but at the same time quiet and right next to the canal and bus stop.
Lobby, halls and stairs areas look just gorgeous! Cool old furniture, paintings, statues etc. The stairs themselves are wooden and beatifully made.
My room (number 2) had tall ceilings and huge windows facing the canal. Only wish it would have been on one of the upper floors. Same thing with old-style furniture in the room - that was nice and beatiful. But the old and worn power outlets were not that nice. Also, the fridge in the room was a joke - it sorta worked but didn't keep stuff in it cold, couldn't even handle a couple of beers.
The bed was very comfortable and I've slept like a baby.
The lobby zone was very nice to hang, really enjoyed having a beer in the evening, sitting there in one of the sofas.
The breakfast was okay, not very diverse, but everything was tasty and fresh. A bit missed the porridge though.
Overall, it was good experience, I've enjoyed my stay!

NNeilJHotel Portinari in Bruges is a gem! The modern design is both stylish and inviting, creating a lovely atmosphere. My room was comfortable and well-appointed, making it a perfect retreat. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the city’s main attractions. The friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bruges!
GGuest UserThe location is excellent and it is very convenient to go to various attractions. If you drive yourself, it is a bit difficult to get in and out of the hotel. The car is clearly parked next door, but it took half an hour to get to the hotel entrance (one-way street + road closure)

AAnne LiekeWe had a nice time at Talbot House. The big plus is the historic value of the place, as we visited the area to learn more about WWI. So amazing to be able to explore the house and talk to the volunteer working here. Other things we liked were the friendly service and breakfast. Also big plus we could bring our dog, staying in the garden house.
With the cold whilst we were there, not having central heating was a bit of a struggle as the aircon is only on during the afternoon/evening and harder to set to a consistent temperature. Also the shared bathroom’s window couldn’t be closed, so absolutely freezing to go to. Last, our room was on the small side and felt a bit cramped especially with our dog. But overall good value for money.
GGuest UserThe hotel is basic no frills but was perfect for us for a couple of nights. We booked a triple room for myself my husband and our 11 year old son. The room was huge and also had a little kitchen area which was great. The location is great right off the main square. There is not air con but they do provide a large fan which was enough to cool the room when sleeping. The shower room had a shower over a bath tub which had great pressure and the towels provided are lovely and fluffy. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again
