"The location is very convenient for a tourist: it is directly across the street from Dongxi (east-west) Alley and is a short walk from Elephant Trunk Hill, Sun and Moon Pagodas, and Qixing park. The entrance is on Zhengyang Pedestrian Street meaning easy access to shops, food stalls and restaurants.
The hotel exceeded my expectations, offering a high standard of comfort and service for the price. I am a frequent traveller who usually views a hotel just as a room with a bed to sleep in, though sometimes I treat myself to something nicer. In this case I chose the Mountain view room. The room was spacious, the largest bed I have ever slept in and floor to ceiling windows that gave a good view over the scenic area. There is a tea table in the window area, in which I enjoyed sitting drinking tea and watching the world go by. Even when lying down in bed I could see a ‘wall’ of sky. It was a very relaxing environment.
While there I made use of the free laundry room which was very handy.
All staff are friendly and welcoming. Even the lobby area is made to feel welcoming with free drinks available and a wall of cards with messages written by previous guests.
The restaurant is on the top floor, which also has an outside seating area with good views. The restaurant had vegetarian options available, which were tasty and reasonably priced.
I would defiantly stay here again and highly recommend it."

"Outstanding hotel, highly recommended. The rooms are large, comfortable and practical, with lovely views of the river. The bathrooms are especially nice, with large bathtubs. Breakfast is varied, with an excellent range of delicious food. The staff are extremely polite and helpful: they were able to check me in even at 3:00am after I arrived on the night train. The cleaners are quick, thorough and efficient, too. The staff provide thoughtful gifts like free oranges for Spring Festival. The hotel is well located for getting around Wuzhou, and all the taxi drivers know it. There seems to be lots to do within the hotel, too, including restaurants, a spa, a KTV lounge, a tea house and a swimming pool, so it would be excellent for large groups too."

"I couldn't have been happier with my stay. I've never been to Guanxi province before, but it surpassed all my expectations. The village itself is beautiful, and around 7km from Yangshuo, so it's not as busy as central locations but still plenty to see around the Yulong river. But most of all, the family and all the staff at this hotel were truly exceptional, and made me feel so welcome. The rooms are comfortable, extremely clean, and they service your rooms every day which means you always have a freshly made bed and water bottles.
Breakfast was included and was wonderful and plentiful....porridge, watermelon, yams, boiled eggs served with red tea, and you could also order coffee. You can also get a big bowl of noodles, but after they realised as a foreigner, I don't really like to eat this kind of thing for breakfast, they simply adjusted to my tastes and gave more eggs and sweet potatoes the next day without me even needing to ask- fantastic service!
I really enjoyed the company of the boss man, and I assume his wife. After watching snooker together the first evening, they invited me to eat dinner together the next night, along with the kitchen cook. It felt like a family meal, and I felt very welcome indeed.
By the way, I walked between villages in my afternoons, which was great exercise and there's plenty of good routes for bicycling. 🚲

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Guilin and would highly recommend it to international travelers. The rooms are exceptionally clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is thoughtfully designed and well-maintained, and you can really feel the attention to detail throughout the property.
What stood out most was the service—staff were attentive, helpful, and went beyond our expectations to meet every need quickly and efficiently. Communication was smooth, even for international guests, which made the entire stay stress-free.
A lovely bonus was the Italian-style coffee machine located downstairs, which served excellent coffee and made mornings even better.
Overall, a fantastic experience and excellent value. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Guilin."

"Upgraded to a balcony room for one night, directly facing the beautiful Li River and Fubo Hill. The evening breeze was so pleasant. The double sinks, toilet, and shower room were all separate, which was very convenient. Later, we moved to a 180-degree river view room, where I could just relax on the tatami mat and gaze at the river – truly a stolen moment of leisure. The oversized bathtub was perfect for a relaxing soak and stress relief. The mini-bar was free, and the complimentary fruit at night was delicious.
The butler and front desk staff were all so kind, polite, and provided excellent service, always ready to help. They proactively asked daily if we needed anything, if the room temperature was comfortable, or if we wanted to choose different pillows. We slept wonderfully every night.
The hotel breakfast offered a great variety, including two types of rice noodles (dry and soup). There were also two kinds of herbal teas daily, like luo han guo and goji berry. We had dinner à la carte, and the food was delicious, the ambiance beautiful, making it perfect for photos.
The hotel package included a photoshoot with a good selection of outfits. The photographer was patient and meticulous, and selecting the photos was a smooth process.
My mom absolutely loved the hotel's cultural handicraft experience; she made three phone charms and really enjoyed it.
I also tried the hotel spa. The masseuse was quiet throughout but worked hard, and her technique was very good.
The most memorable part of our Guilin trip was our stay at Lijiang Courtyard. We felt completely at home. We'll definitely book here again next time!"

It's perfectly located in the city center with stunning views of the lakes, pagodas, and mountains right from my window. Plus, it's just a few minutes' walk to the Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area. The staff's attitude is also exceptionally good. In a humid climate, it's hard to completely avoid that slightly damp smell, but all visible areas were spotless. The facilities are quite new, and there are plenty of elevators so you rarely have to wait. The location is very convenient for getting around, and there are many night markets and street food nearby, making it perfect for tourists. I was traveling with a friend, and we added an extra bed. The extra bed is only suitable for smaller individuals, but it was quite comfortable. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but the food tastes good. I especially enjoyed the Guilin rice noodles. The room was spacious and attractive; it didn't feel cramped even with three of us. The hotel seems to be the tallest building in the area, offering excellent views. "This was my second stay at this hotel, and it's consistently great. First off, the service is excellent. They proactively contacted me about my arrival time and needs, which was a huge plus, especially Joyce, Moon, Pink, Freya, and Amy from the service center. Secondly, the hotel's location is fantastic – right next to a shopping mall. You can even access the mall directly from the hotel lobby, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. It's also very close to the metro station, and just a 2-3 minute walk to the Exhibition Center, so getting around is a breeze. Additionally, the hotel facilities are well-maintained, with the gym and pool fully operational. The breakfast is also quite good, offering both Chinese and Western options to suit various tastes. All in all, it was a very good experience."

The hotel itself is a classic Republican-era building, exuding a sense of history and cherished memories, like a quiet, wise elder full of stories. Our room even had a balcony, and sitting there sipping tea while gazing at Rong Lake below truly felt like escaping the hustle and bustle, bringing a sense of calm. The hotel also kindly provided coffee vouchers, which helped pass the time while waiting for our flight.

After attending a concert in Nanning, I thought I'd come to Yangshuo for a vacation. For me, a good hotel can meet many needs. From hardware to software, thoughtful service makes you feel more at ease. From the moment I entered the hotel, I felt that thoughtfulness.
I'm quite a stickler for details. The hotel's cleanliness, the maintenance of its public areas, and even the toiletries are all meticulously chosen. The refrigerator, kettle, and hairdryer are all carefully prepared and not just thrown in. Also, the bathrobe is incredibly comfortable! That's a rare find! I booked a room with a terrace, and sitting there in the afternoon or early morning, you can really feel the tranquility of the mountains.
The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and there was also an afternoon tea (the desserts were tasty too). Initially, when I came to Yangshuo, I only felt that the scenery was beautiful. But staying at this hotel, I truly realized that even in such a so-called 'paradise,' you can experience a different, perhaps even more luxurious, feeling.
Honestly, if you want an excellent experience when you come to Yangshuo, you can choose this hotel. It's incredibly convenient whether you're going to eat at Ten-Mile Gallery or explore the old town. More importantly, the scenery viewed from within the hotel is absolutely twice as wonderful, without the crowds and noise (a true resort destination!). You really can fall in love with a city because of a hotel.
Everything above is my genuine feeling. The hotel's attention to detail is truly heartfelt, especially the large public lawn in front of the hotel, which gives a very relaxing and pleasant feeling. Considering the guest's experience, thumbs up!

GGuest UserGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave.
Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play.
The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way.
The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned.
The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture)
If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe.
I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China.
However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too.
These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host!
I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

GGuest UserThis villa is absolutely amazing, the entire design is just my style. There are projectors both upstairs and downstairs, which is such a thoughtful touch, and the landlady even specifically bought a vanity table. The location is also fantastic, a 15-minute drive to the town, and just a 10-minute walk to the Yulong River Old County Pier.
I especially have to rave about the hotel bar! The landlady personally mixes drinks for you, and the cocktails are genuinely delicious. She used to be a bartender in Chengdu, and her drinks are even better than ones I've had in Hong Kong! Plus, the bar's decor is really cool, with an American record vibe. I really urge the owners to promote the bar more! The landlady even gave me a free bartending lesson – a truly unique experience!
And the room was spotlessly clean with a beautiful view!

From upstairs, you can see the mountain scenery. Having a washing machine is a huge plus, and there's even a self-service tea room.

JJingcaixiaoyaojingThe room was quite spacious and had a balcony with a glimpse of the Li River, which was a pleasant surprise. The room facilities were well-planned and functional. The inn's decor was stylish, with a Chinese aesthetic that made every photo-op Instagram-worthy – perfect for ladies in traditional outfits. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and spoke excellent English, which explains the high number of foreign guests and the great atmosphere. Their ground-floor restaurant has been on the 'must-eat' list for several years running and is very famous and popular locally, with long queues every day – definitely give it a try. Hotel guests get a 10% discount, and remember to ask the front desk to arrange a table for you to skip the queue, otherwise, you'll be waiting forever.

GGuest UserStaying at the Versailles Hotel for my trip to Guilin was a great choice! The location is absolutely perfect, really close to the train station, and it was super easy to get taxis to all the attractions. Plus, there are tons of restaurants and shops right around the hotel. The lobby is beautifully decorated, and the front desk staff were quick and helpful with check-in. My room was meticulously cleaned, the mattress was just right – not too soft, not too hard – and the high-floor view was lovely. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety, and the freshly made Guilin rice noodles were authentically delicious. They even have a self-service laundry room and a large parking lot. Overall, it's excellent value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Guilin!

GGuest UserHad an incredible stay here! The views are stunning (probably one of the best out of all the other accommodations nearby), the room was clean and the service was friendly. It's a family owned business and everyone is lovely. If you're taking a bus, it won't drop you all the way to the hotel but if you give the hotel a call, someone can come pick you up from the bus stop. I had a bit of a miscommunication with my previous hotel who arranged a coach for us that dropped us off at a very far away drop off point and someone still came and picked us up from there with no complaints (and did not charge us for it)!! We were also dropped back off at the bus stop on the day we left. No one spoke much English which made it a little harder, but we got by with a translator app. There are quite a few stairs to go up to get to the hotel which isn't great if you have lots of heavy luggage so I'd recommend packing lightly if possible. Having said that, if you have average fitness, you should be fine getting up and down the stairs, the trek is not too long. The views are definitely worth it! Would stay again for sure.
