Staying at the Golden Lion Hotel was the biggest surprise of my trip to Cangzhou! While the hotel's facilities might seem a bit dated at first glance, they are incredibly well-maintained. The rooms are large and comfortable, and the bathroom, in particular, felt very high-quality. What truly impressed me most was the service – friendly, fast, timely, and respectful; everything was executed flawlessly. The complimentary shuttle service to major attractions and the high-speed rail station was incredibly convenient and comfortable! The dining experience was nothing short of a feast. The breakfast quality, even when compared to top-tier cities, is absolutely outstanding – a true culinary delight! Over three days, I diligently tried to sample as much as possible: lamb intestines, donkey burgers, fried tiger (likely a local dish name), meat buns, congee, tofu pudding, jianbing guozi, sugar oil cakes, noodles, various hot and cold dishes, and a wide array of fruits. I truly gave it my all! Plus, the hotel provided a 198 RMB dining voucher, which I used at the Cantonese restaurant, and without exception, everything was delicious! Trust me, you need at least three days to fully enjoy all the food here. All in all, the Golden Lion is the most cost-effective hotel I've stayed in for years. Its overall quality clearly surpasses most international five-star hotels, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's worth revisiting Cangzhou just to stay at the Golden Lion again.

The room was spotless, and the toiletries were complete, including disposable towels. The breakfast was delicious, and the bed was so comfortable. The view from the window was absolutely stunning. I even received a small gift when I checked out, which was a lovely surprise!

An absolutely fantastic experience! Not only was the service excellent, but the room was also spotless, tidy, and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed a relaxing hot bath in the in-room bathtub. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, offering both Chinese and Western options, so there was plenty to choose from. The executive lounge on the 53rd floor was also great, with attentive service. The evening food selection there exceeded my expectations – I didn't even need to go elsewhere for dinner. The red wine I had was also very good, smooth and not at all astringent.

My stay at the InterContinental Shijiazhuang Fortune Centre was excellent overall. The room was clean, the environment was quiet, and the amenities were comprehensive. I'd especially like to thank Lillian, one of the staff members. She handled communications very professionally, proactively addressed my billing concerns, and meticulously helped me check the room both before and after my stay. Her thoughtful greetings and genuine, easygoing demeanor, coupled with her efficient way of working, made her service truly heartwarming. The hotel's service standards were exceptional, and the personalized, human touch from the staff made me feel incredibly welcome! Thank you! It was a very comfortable stay, highly recommended. Arrived on the afternoon of Chinese New Year's Day. Both counters were busy during check-in, but Cathy proactively directed us to the third one. Since we were two adults with two young children, it was a bit of a struggle. Cathy thoughtfully gave the kids small horses to comfort them, which was very sweet. For the rest of our stay, everything perfectly matched our booking requests: a bed rail was installed, and child-friendly toiletries and a toilet seat were provided. The housekeeping staff never slacked off, even though the kids made quite a mess. Our room was always spotless when we returned. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent location, good hotel, however the front counter staff needs to pay attention to details, hazards, and safety risks!! When I asked the counter staff to book a taxi, she failed to account for my 2 suitcases. When the taxi arrived, it was immediately clear that the boot was too small to fit them. Rather than sending the taxi away and arranging a more suitable vehicle, she agreed with the taxi driver to force the suitcases into the boot and travel with the lid left open. This is plainly unsafe and completely unacceptable — a serious failure of duty of care.

As foreign travellers, we ran into some difficulties purchasing attraction tickets and bus transfer due to lack of a local phone number. We met David at the concierge and asked if we could get some help to purchase. Without hesitation, he offered to purchase on our behalf and even followed up with the attraction to confirm the arrangement. Thanks to his help, we were able to visit the attraction smoothly the next day without any issues. He made us feel very welcome, and his help left us with a wonderful impression of Handan☺️ Thanks David!

A good choice for summer vacation. When Beijing is 33 degrees, it is 25 degrees. The stay experience far exceeded expectations. The homestay is hidden in the green mountains and dense forests, away from the city's dry heat, morning and evening accompanied by the cool breeze in the mountains, refreshing and comfortable. Surrounded by green trees, the door is the mountain forest scenery, you can hear the birds singing in the morning, and you can stroll along the mountain path in the evening. The air is fresh and pleasant. The service is warm and thoughtful, and the people are caring and thoughtful. Before and after check-in, carefully guide the route and help carry the luggage. Three meals are made of local farm ingredients, wild vegetables, native eggs, and stewed chicken. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is soft and dry, the bathroom facilities are complete, and the details are in place. The surrounding area can be climbed and picked, the stream can be cooled, and it is leisurely. The overall environment is quiet and comfortable, eating and living comfortably, and the price is very high. It is a great place to escape the heat in summer.

Absolutely thrilled! The courtyard room offers incredible value for money. The hotel is super comfortable and clean, with a unique garden landscape. The staff and guests are all very friendly and pleasant. The eight little cats at the hotel are incredibly cute! And there are deer too! There are many fruit trees, and guests can pick and taste the fruit. We had some small cherries, and the staff said the apricots would be ripe in about ten days. There are only two things that could be improved: I smelled someone smoking indoors, so please enhance patrols; and the peacock cage is too small, which isn't great for the animals. I'll definitely be back and will highly recommend it to my friends. A truly wonderful trip to Chengde!

My stay at Hualuxe Handan was an absolutely fantastic experience! Combined with the excellent blackout curtains, I enjoyed a truly restful and rejuvenating night's sleep. The bathroom's wet and dry separation design was thoughtful, the hot water supply was ample and consistent, and the toiletries were of high quality. Every detail showed great care. What truly stood out was the front desk service. From the moment I walked in, I felt warmly welcomed. Check-in was efficient and swift, and the staff were all smiles throughout, patiently answering my questions about directions and proactively informing me about the hotel's various convenient services. Check-out was seamless, and they thoughtfully reminded me to ensure I hadn't left anything behind. Their professionalism and attentiveness were truly heartwarming. Both the comfort of the environment and the professionalism of the service were impeccable, offering incredible value for money. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip and have already recommended it to my friends!
