"Hotel was spotlessly clean and staff very helpful. We upgraded to executive room that was nice but the view out the back wasn’t too great but didn’t spoil anything. We had lovely night away. Food is good the weather was amazing and the gardens are nice to sit out. Couldn’t get into the therapy rooms for massage as they were fully booked but we did only book to go to the hotel a few days prior to going. Pool areas are clean"

"Excellent stay, excellent dinner, excellent spa experience and breakfast buffet that is second to none! The Mecure really do know how to provide a great customer experience and every single staff member is courteous, polite, helpful and friendly. The rooms are enormous and if you are lucky enough to get a courtyard one, your eyes are in for a treat. Sue and Lucy in the spa are marvellous and even the chambermaid staff, especially Deborah worked with a smile and was helpful with directions. If you stay in a courtyard room you will understand why directions are needed. 😀. All in all I had an absolutely fantastic Mother’s Day stay!"

We're off the M65, on the border of Hyndburn and Blackburn. Frontier Retail Park is a five-minute walk from our door. Local attractions such as Blackburn's historic cathedral, the Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery, King George's Hall, and Blackburn Empire Theatre are a 10-minute drive away. Enjoy our fitness center, free breakfast, and free WiFi.

"The location, the breakfast was good. For a 3 star good food. The beds are springy and could be better mattresses. The key cards were not working for the door due to timing expired on the card. One of the staff members said they were under staffed and could not make a new one, which meant we had to call someone when ever we wanted to go back in."

"Everything is good except the bed sheet, it kept slipping off after sleeping in.  It's a flat sheet too small to tie down on the edge and corners.  We asked the staff for help and we tried to do it ourselves but it was not fixable because the flat sheet is just too small to secure the bed coverage.  The staff members are super friendly and they do try their best to help you.  The spa in the hotel is also great.  Overall the experience is beyond expectations.  The location is also great and safe.  "

"Bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly and had no toilet roll or towels in. Tv didn’t work on the wifi or normal tv channels. There looks like there has been a leak and chunks of concrete were loose under the window-ledge. The positives were the Sea view and tower view from the room and the power in the shower was great. The room did also have a fan, an Iron and board, safe and hair dryer. Staff were friendly and helpful. Car park was fine for £7 and you could park until midnight on the day of check-out. The room in general was dated and in need of an uplift, but it was ok for a base for 1 night."

"The hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations. On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep. Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds. Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed. Photos attached for reference."

"We were dissappointed in the car parking situation. It wasn't exactly made clear that you need to drive into where it was marked exit and press for them to lift the barrier. Then unfortunately there was no room so had to call into reception to find out where we could park it was a bit stressful and could have been avoided. The hotel itself is very secure as you need to press for access to the entrance. Once up to reception on the first floor we were welcomed and allocated a room. The room was very tired with marked and scratched walls and ceiling. The bathroom had all the ususl facilities but a great big crack was in the tiles on the floor about two and half feet long. The shower head was dirty and the bottom of the main door was peeling away. The bed was two single mattresses put together which were obviously well used and meant there was a bump in between which wasnt very comfy. The bar was expensive for drinks and the staff seemed to multitask serving and cleaning tables etc. Some of the same staff were at breakfast and it just felt a bit overall short staffed. The breakfast itself was adequate but basic. We did notify reception on checking out of our findings as we are not usually ones to complain but the issues do make a difference and some just general maintenance."

"The hotel room didn't have enough storage for the three of our clothes. The towels weren't replaced every day which I find very poor. Also there was a mark on one of the towels and my mum actually found it rolled up and put back into storage in bathroom. This was extremely poor. The staff were really nice and friendly. I found the hotel to be clean. However, due to heatwave and lack of clean towels I find this really poor service. The breakfast had a good variety and was nice. It was also close to south pier but really good location."

I booked this place over the Easter weekend, purely based on the fact it was two thirds cheaper than the chain hotels which were nearby. The hotel is located a 2 minute walk away from Blackpool Pleasure Beach. It is also a 1 minute walk away from the nearest Wetherspoons pub, South Pier & Sandcastle Leisure Centre...along with some nice local cafes, (Rendezvous), and cheaper end shops, sticks of rock were nearly half the price this end of the seafront. My expectations were low for this hotel, I've stayed in the area before and knew I wasn't booking 5 star. I was pleasantly surprised. We were met at the door promptly and greeted. What I first noticed was the electronic security lock on the door and on all rooms. The entrance was spotless and there were no funny smells of damp etc. The hotel was warm from top to bottom. We visited during storm Dave...so that leads on to our room. I booked a family room with 1 double and 2 single beds. We were given a double and a bunk bed, this wasn't a massive issue as my 2 children, who were older, agreed to make the best of what we had. I never complained as we were only here for 2 days. We had 2 separate rooms that were both en-suite with a toilet, sink and shower. They were fully stocked with toilet rolls, body wash/shampoo and hand wash, which was a nice touch. The beds were clean, the covers/pillows were basic, but again clean. The double bed was super comfortable,, the bunk beds were a good size, but probably could have done with an extra couple of pillows. All the heaters worked a treat and we were never cold for a minute, in fact the rooms heated nicely. We had tea, coffee & water in the room for our use too! There wasn't a view from the windows, but who cared, we were there for the rides, amusements and shopping. The hotel is located as stated near the Pleasure Beach, for high street shopping, you can either take a nice walk, which would be over half an hour or get a tram or taxi. We got Uber, which was around £6 each way from the hotel to Primark or Wendy's. That's right near Treasure Island and the Tower. I really can't fault this place, it was quiet, the host was always about and extremely helpful and the price was the best we were getting on an Easter weekend. Yes there were other guests here, no you couldn't hear every voice and or footstep. If you're on a budget or just want somewhere clean, tidy and warm, give this place a go. I took the pictures fairly hastily, the room was extremely tidy at the time we checked in. The pictures I took were at check out.

The room facilities are very complete, with a refrigerator, ironing board, tableware, induction cooker, pots, etc. There are many snacks and coffee that you can make yourself. There is room service every day. At the end of the check-out, you just need to return the key to the key box. There are many places to eat nearby.
