Heating didn’t work in room but they fixed it once asked, bathroom door wouldn’t remain closed. This appears to be a hotel for workmen as there are signs everywhere not to wear work boots to bedrooms , signs again in bar and dining room, location great, hotel a bit shabby. Not a couples hotel but grand if your a builder looking to put your head down for the night
The hotel is beautiful and steeped in history. Breakfast was very nice and location is convenient for the airport. My only issue was we stayed in room 003 and in the morning about 4am delivery trucks starting driving back and forth down the side alley which actually woke us up as the window was open. One of the trucks even decided to back up down the alley with a constant beep beep beep which was really annoying. I'm not sure why he just didn't turn around but clearly he chose not to. The other small issue was the shower took forever to drain but this is an easy fix which the hotel said they would look after. Other than that, the stay was wonderful.
Great one night experience, left wishing for more nights. Staff were amazing and easy to talk to. Definitely recommend it and it’s our new hotel of first choice going forward.
As my reason to stay was the proximity to the airport, the hotel exceeded my expectations as the room was small but comfy, they have a restaurant for dinner and breakfast attached to the hotel and in minutes I could get a taxi to the airport. Great value for money.

It is well located but feels more like an airport or an hotel as you do your own check-in no introduction of the place and was in a 10 bed dorm with 2 toilets outside the room where only one was functioning so for 10 people it is not the best. If you need to go then take the elevator from the 6th floor to the lobby to use one of the toilet (and one is missing a door 🤣). Also had to go all the way down from the 6 floor to tell them the only toilet was out of paper. Not the best but that happens. For the price I would have expected better but overall not a bad place especially considering the location. Oh and wifi is really slow or stop working at times.
Could not fault Metro Hotel. We were late checking in. Rang ahead. Very helpful. Staff are lovely at reception and restaurant.
Easy access to Holiday Blue carpark.
Would definitely stay again and leave car there.
Was a bit sceptical when we first booked as the review seems to suggest that the hotel was bad other than its closeness to the Airport. However , we were immediately when we checked in. The hotel looks decent and the room was comfortable, except the bed was a little soft. The food in the restaurant was not too bad. The airport transfer shuttle bus was efficient too and the diver was very helpful. They helped us with our luggages.
I stayed at the Hilton Dublin Airport for one night and had a very good experience overall. The location is convenient for early flights, and it was easy to get to the airport from the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities were well maintained.
Service was excellent — staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful throughout my stay. Cleanliness and amenities also exceeded expectations.
Overall, a reliable and pleasant airport hotel. I’d be happy to stay here again.

You cant beat the location of this hotel. It was a short walk to everything! I had a huge room which was awesome because most hotel rooms I’ve been in on this trip have been super tiny. I booked a king room which I was very excited for but I found the bed had a very obvious lump right in the middle where I imagine, the two twins connected so I wasn’t able to sleep right in the middle of the bed but it was okay. I made it work. Overall good service as well!

My freshly adult son was traveling alone to Dublin for school, so I booked him a transitional room for one night. He arrived in the morning, before the official check-in time, but the hotel allowed him to store his luggage and told him he could check in at 3 PM. He then went out to explore the area. On his way back to the hotel, he got caught in a heavy downpour and was completely drenched. As he sat in the lobby, feeling helpless, a staff member kindly approached him and asked if he'd like to go to his room then. Upon receiving an affirmative answer, they promptly helped him with an early check-in. Knowing he had to go to school the next day, they also thoughtfully assisted him in booking a taxi. I'm incredibly grateful to the hotel staff for taking care of my son. They provided such considerate care and attention to a young adult who was feeling lost and overwhelmed on his first day in a foreign country. I always trust Hilton's century-old quality and their attentive service to every guest. I also wish the kind staff good health and smooth work! Thank you very much!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is ideally located, very close to Dublin Heuston train station. With bus and tram stops nearby, it's incredibly convenient for exploring city center attractions. As an express hotel, the rooms are quiet and comfortable, though they are a bit compact and lack a kettle and a desk. Otherwise, everything was perfectly fine.
GGuest UserIt was okay overall — the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the hotel is located near the railway station, and you can see the trains passing by from the window, which might make it a bit noisy. That said, the rooms are well soundproofed, so it didn’t bother me much. The breakfast was quite basic and overpriced, costing £17 per day.
MM524446****The bunk beds have curtains, and the four-person room is clean and comfortable with soft mattresses. There are lockers, and the bathroom is also spacious and stylish. Breakfast includes eggs, milk, bread, and a variety of fruits. You can borrow a hairdryer from the front desk. Common areas like the living room are very quiet.
TTeacherTravelTimesI decided to ditch staying in the city centre based on my below par experiences there on my last trip. When looking on Trip.com, Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel in Dalkey was the same price as several dorm rooms in the city centre when I looked.
Getting there from Dublin Airport was relatively straightforward. I took and Aircoach from the airport to Dalkey/Ulverton Road and then walked for about 15 minutes. Up to the hotel entrance.
The hotel is fairly old fashioned but personally I found it very charming. The staff were well-trained in the art of hospitality, the rooms were clean, locals were in and out of the bar, restaurant and leisure centre.
Furthermore, the room was spacious with tea and coffee making facilities. The tv had a nice range of channels and the bathroom had a working shower and an abundance of towels. One thing missing was a toothbrush, toothpaste and shaving kit. I was told that you can get slippers on request as well.
Get the breakfast. It’s €16 and it’s a buffet style with a delicious selection of hot and cold food. There’s rashers, sausages, hash browns, pancakes, the works. I wish I could’ve eaten more! I loved that they had a wide range of ages working there as well. One of the staff tripped when she went to ask if everything was ok and she said ‘I’m fine, I’m falling for you!’ It was then that I knew that I was home.
The leisure centre is one of the best I’ve come across in a while. I’ve stayed in so many places where it’s literally an empty room with a few bits of old equipment but they had loads of weights, treadmills, bikes, etc. They do classes and physiotherapy as well. The pool and jacuzzi were also excellent. Plenty of ages in both as well but it wasnt overcrowded so you’ll get a few lengths in if you want.
Lastly, make sure to go for a walk about Dalkey and the surrounding areas. I spent the morning walking down to the Vico Baths, the Forty Foot (both swimming locations) and passed through Dalkey Village. Plenty of people will be out with their family and friends whether it be for a walk, bike ride, swim or a coffee and a chat. Ditch Dublin City and say yes to Dalkey!
GGuest UserThe Bonnington is usually my go to hotel in dublin, however the stay before this and now this stay has made me look for somewhere else in future. The staff as always were exceptional, however our room was incorrectly rang my reception at 5am, (and on a previous stay we were awoken in the middle of the night by a false fire alarm, so a full nights sleep is not a guarantee).
What was the most frustrating is the general disrepair of the hotel. The rooms are fairly small so for the higher price point you are really paying for the facilities. The smaller issues like furniture being old and leather chairs peeling and flaking were not a big problem, just a mild annoyance. However the bath/shower leaking everywhere when used from the base of the tub and leaving the floor soaking wet, the steam room being out of order and us not being informed of this when or even after booking, and the crowdedness and of the pool and other facilities because of non hotel users with memberships to the leisure clubs taking up the whole hot tub and sauna at once in personal groups was frustrating.
The room was also extremely hot, and the AC very very loud while not actually doing much to cool the room. There was nothing particularly stay ruining about it however if you’re paying over 200 euro for one night somewhere you would expect things to be at least average.
The main redemption was the friendliness and kindness of the staff.

GGuest UserThis time I booked it for my friend, who also stayed here when he went to Dublin last year. The breakfast was very rich and the ingredients were super fresh. The hotel used Beyond brand toiletries, which was great 👍
GGayatri GallowayKnowing The Address from Dubai, I knew I could expect quality. Located on a main road across Connolly station, the train noises were only noticeable on the outside.
As we arrived very early we accepted the first available room after an hours wait in the beer garden. We don’t normally accept twin rooms but as I was unwell we took it. A clean, classy, modern room, in comparison to which the bathroom with a bath looked a bit outdated. But the room had our fave rooibos tea!
The hotel has ample F&B choices: a bar, cafe, restaurant and a ‘beer garden’ - a cute one too with useful heaters on the wall.
Service in these areas however lack protocol, which we always seek in hospitality.
The gym situated at the end of the premises is a public one, which means there’s non-hotel resident traffic through the corridors.
It took us a moment to realise and a confirmation from the concierge that the hotel also houses ‘temporary residents’ evident from my fellow smokers in the beer garden and the children in their school uniforms having their breakfasts in one of the bar areas.
We didn’t expect this from The Address chain. It reflects the reality Ireland is coping with.

Great location with Dublin Airport only approx 10 minute drive.
Safe, secure car park on site
Convenient shuttle bus service
Lovely, spacious bar/restaurant with great choice of food and drinks. Plus, 24hr coffee dock beside bar.

This was my third stay in the hotel, most recently, April 2025 I stayed in a rooftop balcony suite. King-size bed, living area, balcony and loads more. Great comfy rooms
