"Honestly, this hotel was a bit of a letdown. The first room was incredibly small – so small you couldn't even open a 20-inch suitcase anywhere but by the door. There was no desk, and the bedside table was comically large, also doubling as a clothes hanger. There was a friendly Chinese lady at the front desk, which was a plus. However, in that particular room (I forget the number), there was an inner window that not only wouldn't open but faced directly onto the hallway, so you could hear every little noise. Not ideal if you're sensitive to sound. Also, they provide no toiletries whatsoever; you have to bring everything yourself.
On the upside, the location is convenient. Turn left out of the hotel for a supermarket, and turn right for the sea. It's also an easy walk to the Rainbow Street in the city center. Secondly, there's the price. In Iceland, where hotels typically start at 1,000 ISK, finding a place for around 900 ISK with a private bathroom is rare. It's suitable for budget travelers or those on daily tours who don't spend much time in their room. One more thing: luggage storage costs money, around 5 euros, and requires a QR code payment. I tried to pay with cash, and the front desk guy seemed quite flustered, like he wasn't used to it."

"Great location right in the center of Reykjavik. Clean bedding and a private room all to myself. A bonus was the coffee and tea available downstairs, and there's also a microwave. The building is quite old, but if you need a decent place to sleep at a reasonable price and don't like dorm rooms, I recommend it. On the downside, the coffee and tea room was closed on Sunday morning. We also had a fire alarm go off at 2 AM, but it turned out to be nothing."

"Admittedly I only spent a few hours in a single room in this guesthouse. It is one of the closest and best priced options next to the Bus Station (BSI) where the Keflavik Airport Flybus stops (10 mins walk away on flat terrain). It was not easy to get there but Google Maps guided me well. I slept here before taking a domestic flight from Reykjavik Domestic to Akureyri in the morning (30 mins walk away on flat terrain). The room is very spartan - bed, desk and chair plus lampshade, clothes rack and small water sink. Toilet and shower rooms (separate) were right opposite my room. Self-checkin since I was quite late. Bed was very comfortable. Room very warm. Good curtains to keep out the midnight sun.."

"This hotel easily meets a four-star standard. The facilities are great, and the rooms are very new. They offer free parking and the location is convenient. There's complimentary coffee at the front desk. Since it gets dark late, the sunset view from the floor-to-ceiling window was beautiful. I'd definitely book this hotel again next time, it's excellent value for money!"

"It was easy to find the hotel and my room. The code on the door was kept switching but eventually got inside. It’s not a luxury but you got everything you need. The kitchen has all basic stuff and even tea and coffee. It wasn’t busy and I felt safe there. I’m happy with my stay. A little walk down from the hotel and you reach this beautiful view which is gorgeous."

"CityHub’s location was perfect! Right in the heart of downtown Reykjavík. The hot tub was absolutely fabulous during a cold morning rain. The rooms were futuristic looking with lights and sounds depending on your choice of mood. The beds were super clean and comfortable! Their key card was a wristband that you could place over your wrist so you don’t have to worry about losing your hotel card or trying to figure out the code to your room. The bathrooms were spotless and had continuous music with a good beat playing from the background so you can listen and dance a bit while brushing your teeth. They had a great system used in the dining area when pulling your own draft beer or other drinks and the atmosphere at night was peaceful and relaxing. The morning shift staff member which I believed was the owner was extremely friendly and helpful as well as the night shift staff member. However, there was one day shift staff member that wasn’t so helpful and was quick to negative judgement. There was also an additional fee that wasn’t mentioned when booking the room online. Other guesthouses did not allow it or it was probably already added into the package deal that you bought."

"Excellent location and is a few minutes walk from the rainbow street. Have its own parking area so perfect for those that start/end the trip with rental car. My advice is try to get the upper floor as I was allocated the GF which is the -0.5 floor versus the public road. So you wont able to sleep very late of a day, which can be good or bad. Other facility is all great and better than the hotel I stay earlier in Reykjavik."

"The hotel is located in the city center with convenient transportation. The front desk service is very nice. The room is very large, and the mini bar is free on the first day. There is a hot tub and sauna on the basement floor, which is very refreshing before going to bed every day. The breakfast is 5200 Icelandic kronor per person, which is equivalent to 300 RMB per person. The hotel computer system needs to be updated. When I arrived at 8:30 pm that day, the hotel said that I had not paid the room fee. I contacted Ctrip to let me pay first to check in. Ctrip followed up, but when I wanted to pay, the system could not enter the payment..."

"Superior location in the city center, only a few minutes walk to the nearby shopping street. And within 5 minutes walk with Bonus, very convenient if you have to cook at the hotel.
The room is convenient, the facilities are visible a bit old, but the use is not too affected, basic cooking facilities are available, however it is worth noting that even if the hood is turned on to cook, the smoke sensor in the room will ring, the hotel may know that there is such a situation, written instructions to deal with it.
Also sound insulation is relatively poor, the hotel is located next to the street, in the room is very clear sound of the street, if sleeping to sound sensitive people is not suitable."

Chew LemonThis was the first hotel of our 8-day Iceland trip. It was a nice hotel, clean, and conveniently located for shopping and dining.
The breakfast was delicious, especially the pastries and bread selection. The only thing I did not like was that the bathroom sink was a little too small. Other than that, everything was good.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.

Hands down the best hostel in Iceland! The common areas are incredibly clean, and the private bathrooms with showers are a huge plus. It's super warm inside – almost too warm! The bedding is really soft, and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking.

Service provided by Ginta was excellent! Initially we were assigned to a room on the 3rd floor, which would have been impossible for us as there was no elevator and we had two big luggages. Ginta was very helpful and accommodating to our request, she called her manager and helped us to change rooms to the first floor.
We also had to leave early by 7:30am the next day for a tour, but breakfast officially only starts at 7:30am. Ginta helped to arrange and ensure we had breakfast before we left.
Location is great, less than a 5 minute walk to bus stop #8 and Hallgrimskirkja church. It was also easy to walk to Rainbow street, Laugavegur and other attractions.

The location is good as it is a drop off and pick up point for Fly Bus.
The rooms is clean.
Self check-in and if any problem have to use the phone at the lobby to call the customer service.
The breakfast spread is limited.

Guest UserThe room was in the basement, and while the window could open, it faced the parking lot and trash collection point on the first floor. The top right corner of the window had a clear view of the trash area, and my head was right next to that corner when in bed. I immediately requested a room change and had to pay €30 to upgrade to a room on the 3rd floor. The hotel staff claimed it was Trip.com's arrangement and told me to contact Trip.com directly to complain. Just thinking about that room makes me nauseous.

Guest UserExtremely satisfied with this hotel! First off, the staff were all very polite and friendly. Also, before checking into this hotel, we had just finished an 8-day, 7-night island tour. Since there were luggage size restrictions on the tour, it was a huge relief that this hotel allowed us to store some of our luggage while we were away.
Upon entering the room, the facilities were even better than expected. There was plenty of space to put our belongings and hang clothes. The lotion provided was also very useful, especially given how dry it can be in the room.
I will definitely book this hotel again if I come back to Iceland!
