Rooms in Japan are generally small, but this one was clean and had everything I needed. There's no daily housekeeping; you have to put used towels and trash bins outside your door for staff to collect. They'll then hang fresh towels on your doorknob. You can pick up toothbrushes and toothpaste at the front desk. They also have a scale there for weighing luggage, and a microwave in their office if you need help heating something up. Vending machines on the 2nd and 13th floors make it convenient to grab a drink.

I had a fantastic experience here! The hotel is exceptionally clean throughout, which I truly appreciated. My room was spacious and beautifully maintained, feeling fresh and new. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. Everything worked flawlessly, from the quiet air conditioning to the fast Wi-Fi. Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and spotless stay.

The location of the hotel is pretty convenient. 5–6 minutes walk to Hommachi St., which you can easily use to travel to Kyoto, Kobe, etc.  The check-in and check-out were really fast, and we had an upgrade, which was worth the price. I had read the previous reviews about the rudeness of the staff, which is not actually due to this, but it’s the language barrier that could make a tired traveller a little less patient.  If you wish to ask something more specific, please don’t be afraid to use the Google Translate app to help you with the communication. The staff have been really helpful to all of our enquiries. Some remarks were about the hotel lobby being on the 15th floor, but they have a dedicated entrance for taxis or cars to reach the hotel.  Bonus: if you exit through KoKuMiN Osaka Metro Yodoyabashi Station (Exit 4) on your right is a local grocery store that sells local produce and other fruits/food products. It's cheaper to go here to buy your drinks and fruits, etc.

This was my second time choosing this hotel, and everything was great. The only minor downside was the limited TV channels, with no screen mirroring function and no access to services like Netflix. However, I did get access to the exclusive lounge – enjoying a premium stay there. The lounge offered a wide selection of drinks and delicious snacks to go with them.

The room was nice and quite clean. If you like quiet and want to be far from the elevator, make sure to tell the front desk, and they'll arrange it for you. Then, you just need to select a few buttons at the self-service machine. The transportation is incredibly convenient. I came here for a few day trips, and their parking is right across from the hotel. The location is excellent, with Shinsaibashi right to the right. It's a bit of a walk to Namba Station, but otherwise, everything was perfect. It was also reasonably clean.

The hotel room was quite spacious for Japanese standards, and it was a convenient walk to the subway station. The TV in the room wasn't directly facing the bed, but rather the sofa side. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and I'd recommend it for travelers. The cleanliness was excellent, and both check-in and check-out were very smooth. They even deliver all your luggage to your room, so the service is fantastic.

The hotel has amazing views! This time, I booked a room with a view of the Tenjin-gaku Castle, and wow, it was absolutely stunning. I got some fantastic photos from the room! The hotel is right next to Osaka Park, close to government buildings, so it's a very safe area. It's not far from the subway station, making it convenient to get to several shopping districts. In the morning, you can take a stroll through the nearby Osaka Castle Park.

Locals don’t usually come here to sleep — they come to wash, relax, and go through the full spa ritual. There are three types of steam rooms, a circular shower, and three baths: two hot ones at around 41°C, and one cold shock bath at around 11°C. You dip in and instantly feel alive. One unique feature — every hour they run a group steam ritual, like a collective massage & heat therapy session. Very Japanese, and surprisingly affordable. Definitely worth trying. There’s also an inexpensive breakfast option, plus vending machines with food and drinks right inside — very convenient. Overall, it’s a men-only vibe: arrive, clean up, relax, reset, and go about your day. The capsule is just a bonus on top of the sauna experience. They give you clothing — not a robe, but loose Japanese pants and an oversized T-shirt. You get your own locker, bedding and clothes are changed daily, and the bathrooms have literally everything: toothbrush, toothpaste, gels, shampoo… even nail clippers. You don’t need to bring anything. Location is fantastic — right next to Dotonbori. Step outside and you’re instantly in the heart of Osaka’s nightlife and energy. Downsides? A strict checkout — you must leave at 10:00 AM, and check-in starts only after 3:00 PM. If you want to stay during that gap, it’s around 300 yen per hour, or ~900 yen for the day. Still — great experience. I always wanted to try a real Japanese capsule stay. Inside the capsule there’s a TV, radio, adjustable lights, and AC — though it blasts pretty strongly, so I turned it off.

Really great! The front desk staff were also very good and patient! It's very close to Shinsaibashi, with a 7-Eleven right across the street and a FamilyMart nearby. The hotel is also very clean, well-equipped, and they provide fresh towels every day. I'll definitely book this place again next time!!!

MMeitounaohahahahaThis is one of the few hotels in Japan with a 12 PM checkout, which is great. There's a Christmas tree downstairs that adds a lovely atmosphere. We went to the theme park on our second day, and this hotel is the closest one to it – the entrance is right downstairs! Food options are also very convenient. I highly recommend the fried beef cutlet, it was absolutely delicious! Our clothes got soaked on the Jurassic ride, which was totally unexpected, but thankfully we could just pop back to the hotel to change. You just need to get a stamp from the staff at the entrance to re-enter the park. I hope to bring my kids here next time and will definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserThe hotel left us with mixed feelings. On one hand, it’s very stylish, and the rooms are beautiful. Location is perfect with two steps from the metro station. Overall, we did enjoy our stay. However, there were a couple of disappointing points. 1) The male receptionist who checked us in was surprisingly unfriendly and behaved in a rather strange way, which made the first impression uncomfortable. 2) Another issue was the rooms. We booked two “Premier” corner rooms and were expecting a nice view, but both were on a very low floor, and the large corner windows faced a blank wall. It felt odd to have such beautiful windows with no view at all. In the end, it was a decent stay, but the experience was definitely mixed.

YYuexin IrisBefore my trip, I was torn between the InterContinental, W Hotel, Conrad, Waldorf Astoria, and The Park Hyatt, but I ended up choosing the InterContinental, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel upgraded my room, and both the view and the size were fantastic. The hotel's location is impeccable, right above Grand Front Osaka. Stepping out, you're immediately surrounded by major shopping malls like Hankyu, Daimaru, Yodobashi Camera, Lucua, and Lucua 1100, all connected by walkways. From gourmet food to shopping and trendy brands, it was incredibly convenient. Having such a spacious room in Japan is a rarity. Our upgraded room must have been nearly 100 square meters – incredibly roomy and practical, complete with an oven, induction cooktop, and a double-door refrigerator. The bathroom featured a bathtub and Byredo amenities; a soak with the hotel-provided bath salts instantly melted away the day's fatigue. The breakfast buffet offered a wide array of choices, including Japanese cold dishes, Oden, and Western desserts, all with meticulous attention to detail. From the concierge to the front desk, every staff member demonstrated professionalism. At check-out, they even proactively helped load our luggage into the car and confirmed the address with the driver in Japanese. Plus, there were many staff members who spoke Chinese. The only minor drawback was a noticeable smell of disinfectant when returning to the room each day, but it didn't detract from the overall experience at all. Whether it's for shopping, comfort, or service details, this hotel will definitely be my choice again on my next visit to Osaka!

GGuest UserCompared to places back home, it's definitely on the smaller side, but for Japan, the size is actually quite acceptable. It wasn't as cramped or dated as I'd imagined. With the lights on, it felt quite cozy, and the window provided good natural light. My only minor gripes were the lack of complimentary water and that housekeeping only came every three days. On the plus side, there's a 7-Eleven nearby, which is super convenient, and it's also very close to Tenkachaya Station. The neighborhood is residential and felt very safe, completely unlike what some online comments suggest about the 'western district' being full of homeless people; even at 9 or 10 PM, there were no drunks or homeless individuals around. Luggage storage is under camera surveillance with no staff supervision, which initially made me a little worried, but my bags were perfectly safe after half a day. All in all, it's very affordable and offers excellent value for money. 🫶

DDeX3007Mostly everything is good, the services, cleanliness and amenities. They even provide simple yet delicious breakfast with reasonable price, and a hotel pyjamas. The only problem is the laundry service, only have 4 unit and always occupied...and need to wait so long to wash, plus that 1 hour wait to unlock the door after it finished washing, I am not sure is this normal 😅😅 Hope the hotel can look into their laundry service, anyway everything is good 👍👍

VVinzy NgGood hotel with spa with mediocre services.  The room was neat, clean and feeling new.  However, staffs are not familiar with English, not even talking Mandarin. Using the translator with poor voice input was troublesome and sometimes it interpreted wrong meanings. Room service if missed will not be provided again on that day. Also, there were many spa-only visitors simply lying on the spa floor.  Parts of the male spa were under construction and one night there were no 40 degree Celsius or higher pool as they were all under cleaning at the same time. The ground of the spa was very slippery, mostly because many visitors did not bother to rinse themselves well after using the conditioner. The breakfast buffet is good in terms of food choices and environment. But I dislike the scrambled eggs, which had a texture tasted awful.

AAIcyanThe Odysis Hotel (Osaka Kansai Airport branch) is a fantastic hotel for a layover. The spacious suites are a major highlight – a rare find in Japanese hotels, making it super convenient to organize luggage. The 'views are decent' too, with upper floors offering good perspectives overlooking the bay. Plus, its prime location right next to JR Rinku Town Station, just one stop from the airport, and direct access to Rinku Premium Outlets, makes transportation and shopping incredibly convenient. Overall, it's a highly functional and good value-for-money transit hotel.

GGrace 恩雅After staying in a cheaper APA hotel in Tokyo, my partner and I were looking forward to a higher-end stay at the Mercure in Osaka. It was... okay. I'll start with the positives: the proximity to Dotonbori is the biggest plus. It's about a 3-minute walk to the main canal strip. The hotel is separated from the peak tourism chaos by a few streets, so it isn't too overwhelmingly busy around the hotel itself. Convenient FamilyMart and 7-Eleven options are nearby, as you'd expect. The room was clean. The Italian restaurant on the 2nd floor was also quite lovely and well-priced. Now the negatives. First, the lighting was so dim in the hallways and the room itself that it was less ”pleasant mood lighting” and more ”I can't see anything/do my makeup.” I actually thought some of the lightbulbs were blown, but my partner pointed out they were just absurdly dim. Secondly, the door to the bathroom/shower was broken and wouldn't stay shut, so we had to use a few heavy items on the floor to keep it closed. Some of the USB outlets were also non-functioning. Thirdly - and this may be our fault - the washer-dryer combo machine in our room (which was a big reason for us booking this hotel) was finicky to use and only had Japanese labels/instructions. The room guide on the smart TV did have some instructions, but we struggled to operate the machine regardless. Then, after we worked it out, the drying cycle shrunk and heavily wrinkled our clothes. This wouldn't be the end of the world, but the room had no iron or ironing board. You have to go to reception to hire an iron separately or use the ”iron room,” which we never saw the inside of because it was locked every time we tried the door. None of these drawbacks were trip-ruining or anything, and in a cheaper 3-star hotel, we wouldn't be clutching our pearls about it. But because this is a pricier 4-star, internationally-known hotel brand, we expected more. Overall, the stay was not unpleasant, but it was nothing to write home about either.
