The place itself was good for the price. I had a private room and private bathroom, with a shared shower area just down the hall, at only 12 USD for one night. The self check-in was a bit confusing because there are apparently 3 adjacent or nearby places by the same name and I was in Bakuro 2, which meant the QR code I scanned on the door to check-in did not recognize my booking. I spoke to a staff member inside the bar who clarified this for me and I then was given the correct QR code for check-in. It seems Bakuro 1 and 2 are right next to each other, but their check-in systems are totally separate. To my pleasant surprise, my room was bigger than expected. The floor was cement, so quite cold in the winter, and the window even when closed was not sealed for insulation, so it allowed a lot of cold air inside despite using the warm air setting on the AC unit. The location allowed easy access to Shin-Imamiya station, but it was in a rougher neighborhood by Japanese standards. I saw many homeless people and people who were collapsed on the street either from alcohol or for other reasons in broad daylight the day I arrived, but I had an early flight out of Kansai so wanted to be close to the station and didn't feel unsafe walking outside at 6:00 am the morning of my departure.

The location is super convenient, really close to Nihonbashi subway station and not far from Dotonbori. I'd definitely stay here again. It would be great if they could provide an extra room key card.

The hotel is located near the heart of Dotonbori, close to Don Donki, and within walking distance of Shinsaibashi and Namba. There is a 7-Eleven right outside, as well as a tax-free drugstore, which is very convenient.
Check-in and check-out were both fast and smooth. You can leave your luggage at the hotel, but it is at your own risk. I hope next time they will take better care of the luggage, similar to other nearby hotels.
Our water closet bidet was not working properly during our stay. The Super Twin Room was clean and spacious, which we appreciated. However, we hope the pillows can be a bit fluffier, as they were quite flat. It would also be better if there were two pillows provided per bed for added comfort

Location consider near Shin-Osaka station, we booked hotel breakfast for 5 days, a bit boring on the breakfast selection but the taste not too bad. Hotel room seem very new but the bed and table a bit dusty even though everyday got make up room service, anyway overall is good. The most remarkable experience is there are many amenities like cotton buds, face soap, hair wax and some others even like candies are free flow to take by all hotel guests at the hotel concierge area.

The hotel is located near the subway station, and there are many restaurants and even supermarket at near by. The hotel is a bit old, but clean enough.
I was a bit worried because of the low price, but the location was great and the room was clean. Many of the staff were non-Japanese, but I had absolutely no trouble communicating. There's not much to complain about, but if I had to pick something, the grout in the bathroom seemed a little dirty. However, considering the good price, convenient location, and clean room which was exactly as pictured, it's a place I'd definitely want to stay at again if I visit Osaka in the future.

The hotel is very clean. Even if you arrive late at night, you can self-check-in. It's less than a 10-minute walk from the subway station and very close to Osaka's city center shopping area, making it super convenient for getting around. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time.

Great location and in Osaka. Our room was on the larger side for Japanese hotel rooms so that was an added bonus. The bathtub had a large window with a great view of the city! The option to do laundry while traveling with a toddler was a lifeline! Certainly would recommend to families traveling with small children.
The location is excellent, right in the Shinsaibashi area, directly opposite PARCO and Daimaru department stores, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, but it's clean and tidy, and the service is good. For breakfast, you can choose between Western style on the 2nd floor and Japanese style on the 3rd floor. I stayed for two nights and had the Japanese breakfast both times, which I really enjoyed. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Osaka.

Pictures in the reviews can't seem to capture the actual look of the hotel facilities. I was expecting the facilities and amenities to be outdated but to my surprise , it wad quite the opposite ! The beds were comfortable and electrical appliances were working perfectly. For such a cheap price, I was delighted to stay in this hotel. I would definitely return to this hotel.

MM8492****This hotel is the closest to Universal Studios, just a few minutes' walk to the ticket gates, and offers full views of Universal Studios from the rooms. It's incredibly convenient to get to: you can take the subway from the airport, transfer once, and the hotel is just tens of meters from the exit. For Japan, the rooms are quite spacious, and the bathroom is sparkling clean with a separate wet and dry area. The lobby is luxuriously decorated with some futuristic, high-tech elements. Right outside the hotel is the Universal Citywalk, packed with eateries and Universal-themed shops. The food on Citywalk is all pretty good; the Gekko-ryu takoyaki is better than the other place, and the fried wagyu was also delicious. The subway from the airport gets you right to the hotel's doorstep with just one transfer, making transportation extremely convenient.
MMaTheBreIn general, the hotel is absolutely ok. The price is affordable and the interior is new and wealthy. The location is recommendable with close public transport, a supermarket, convenience stores, and a coin laundry. The hotel has a shared room on the second floor with free coffee, tea, and water. Every day they have free beer happy hour from 6 to 7 including a DJ performance.
I would not recommend it to families with children or to people who prefer a “standard” hotel. Usually, hotels in Japan are super child-friendly, but there are no products for children (toothbrushes, pyjamas, slippers, etc.). The breakfast is in our opinion not worth it. It is good in terms of taste, but they do not have a buffet. There are some different sandwiches you can choose 3 (this is limited and when I asked why the answer was: “If they do not limit I could eat 10”. They have no variation in the sandwiches so when you have breakfast there for a week you've eaten all at least once or twice. Here as well nothing for kids so I paid full price breakfast for my son and the only thing he got was some juice. For us, another no-go was the super loud music in the public area (there is the breakfast room). You can enjoy your morning coffee with electronic dance music. The hotel has no laundry, but they offer a service. You can bring your clothes no matter how many and get them back for 5000¥ cleaned and dry. The coin washer 2minutes away is 900¥ for 8kg in 1h.
For younger people or for 1-2 nights absolutely ok. Breakfast better go out to one of the 1000 coffees and enjoy a wider choice.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is super convenient! It's right next to the subway station, and just a few minutes' walk to popular shopping and dining areas like Kuromon Market, Shinsaibashi, and Dotonbori – you'll find everything you need for food, drinks, and entertainment. Plus, the hotel offers complimentary bread and drinks for breakfast. Overall, it's great value for money! 👍
GGuest UserI had a fantastic stay at Holiday Inn Osaka Namba. The location is absolutely superb — just a few steps away from Dotonbori, making it incredibly convenient for food, shopping, and exploring the vibrant nightlife.
The room size was a pleasant surprise, especially for Japan. We were able to fully open two large suitcases comfortably, which made a huge difference during our stay. The daily cleaning service was spectacular — everything was always spotless and well-organized when we returned each day.
We also appreciated the thoughtful amenities like complimentary water and coffee. A special mention goes to the lovely Dove shampoo, soap, conditioner, and lotion — such a nice touch that made the stay even more comfortable.
Overall, an excellent choice in Osaka, and I would definitely stay here again!
SSYL94I stayed here for 4 nights and had a really good overall experience. The location is super convenient, right in the heart of Dotonbori. You just need to cross the road to reach Shinsaibashi, which made shopping and exploring extremely easy. There are also multiple exits of Namba Station nearby, so transportation is very convenient.
The area is lively and full of food options, convenience stores, and shops, so everything you need is within walking distance. Despite being in such a busy area, the hotel itself feels comfortable and a good place to rest after a long day out.
I really enjoyed my stay at Acro and would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Osaka.
GGuest UserEverything was great, just one small thing: the room was really, really tiny. It was hard to open our luggage, especially since we had three bags. But it was very clean, and the staff were very helpful. Check-in and check-out were self-service, and there's a McDonald's right next door, which was very convenient.

__WeChat263706****Absolutely loved it! It's super close to Universal Studios, and the route there is very convenient. It's also near the subway station and right next to the aquarium pier ⛵️, couldn't be more convenient. The convenience stores on both sides are also great.
SSollee- Spa was good, breakfast was good.
- Location was good; we could go shopping or eating outside easily. The area across the station felt a bit unsafe, and there were some homeless people around.
- Very clean floors in the entire building since everyone had to take off shoes at the lobby.
- After check-out, the hotel allows guests to store their luggage if guests stay on the premises to enjoy the spa. However, if guests leave the hotel after checkout and then return later, the hotel does not offer luggage storage. In that case, you have to use the coin lockers in front of the hotel. It was a bit inconvenient because I had to exchange money again to use the locker. That was the only inconvenience.
GGuest UserThis hotel is really great! They gave me a room with an unbeatable ocean view and fantastic scenery. The service was excellent, and they even have a bus that takes you to the airport. Plus, the metro station for the airport is also very close by. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit!
XXLbaoWe stayed at Tokyu Stay Osaka-Hommachi for two nights during the Osaka portion of our trip coming from Tokyo. This was my fourth time in Japan and my first traveling with my toddler, so efficiency and convenience mattered more than ever with his ADHD.
This is very much a business-style hotel, and it delivers well in that category. Guests receive a complimentary two-hour voucher to a WeWork-style coworking space located upstairs near reception, which includes internet access and unlimited drinks and snacks. For business travelers, that’s a strong value add. I would come here again by myself.
While the staff were not fully fluent in English, they used an advanced real-time translation system displayed on a screen at the front desk. Pretty cool. It translated conversations instantly, which was impressive and made communication smooth. The staff were friendly and professional. The interaction felt slightly less personal due to the language barrier, but that’s understandable. The complimentary coffee helped bridge that gap. 24 hrs staff as well.
One standout feature was their handling of our luggage forwarding from Yamato Transport. The hotel received our forwarded suitcases and held them before check-in, then delivered everything directly to our room. This was extremely helpful because we arrived from via Shinkansen, continued on to Kyoto and Nara to visit the deer and temples, and only returned to the hotel later that evening. Not having to carry luggage through multiple cities made a huge difference. Those elevators are tight!
During this Osaka leg, we visited Nara Park and Todai-ji Temple, enjoyed observatory views at Abeno Harukas 300 and the Umeda Sky Building, and took a day trip to Kyoto to see the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and Fushimi Inari Shrine. The hotel is about a 5–7 minute walk from three subway lines and is well positioned for accessing major attractions across the city. If you want to be more central try Namban or Umeda.
With days averaging 12,000 to 15,000 steps, we often grabbed food nearby or I ordered through Uber Eats, which is surprisingly affordable compared to U.S. pricing. Options within walking distance included Matsuya, Yoshinoya, Saizeriya, and even high-end omakase sushi spots.
The in-room washer/dryer was another major convenience since we packed light and relied on doing laundry mid-trip. Really wished there was a kitchen area though with dishware and utensils.
Overall, Tokyu Stay Osaka-Hommachi is a practical, well-located choice for travelers who prioritize efficiency, transit access, and in-room laundry. It served as a solid home base for an active Osaka itinerary. I would come here again.
