"The hotel is in a superb location overlooking the town. All the Christmas attractions (grottos, Winter Wonderland, etc.) were within easy walking distance. It was absolutely quiet at night, both inside and outside the hotel. Breakfast was ample and very tasty. Oddly, there were no small spoons for the eggs, but that was forgivable. The room was perfectly acceptable for two nights. The only negative point I have to mention was the hair in the bathtub. This was completely out of character with the rest of the hotel's overall impression. Otherwise, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Thermae 2000 for a stay in Valkenburg."

"The service was excellent. The staff were very accommodating; since my husband had a meeting, they allowed me to check into the room earlier.
Regarding the amenities, the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but you can order pizza if you like. However, there are two restaurants about 50 meters from the hotel, so that's perfectly fine. The breakfast was good, though unfortunately, for the jam, honey, and chocolate spread, they use containers, similar to other hotels we've recently stayed at, where what comes out for the jam is more like syrup than actual jam.
The room was surprisingly designed, with the toilet separate from the bathroom, but that's common in Mercure hotels. My husband also complained that the water temperature fluctuated while he was showering, though I didn't experience that."

"The hotel stay experience is awesome! Close to Ole, you can walk back to the room after shopping. I am too friendly to buy and buy lovers. There is a local market behind. You can visit the market in the morning and taste fresh fruits. It is full of fireworks. "2 daagjes Maastricht geboekt met m'n lieve mams. Heerlijk genoten van ons verblijf bij Hotel Haas Hustinx. Prachtig appartement, alles zeer schoon, heerlijke bedden en een mooi uitzicht op het Vrijthof. Het vriendelijke personeel stond altijd klaar bij vragen. "We had three delicious days in this charming boutique hotel. No superfluous luxury, but just that authentic and cute feeling that it makes it so pleasant. The family room was surprisingly spacious enough place to meet just after a day in the city. The bed was beautiful, and the atmosphere in the room felt home and relaxed.
We did not use breakfast because we would like to move back to the city to enjoy the many fun coffee and bakeries in Maastricht.
There were a few small things that could better (such as a missing remote control and a safe that didn't want to open), and check-in is going to be completely digital without physical contact just used to but finally very handyly arranged.

This is one of the nicer Backpackers I’ve stayed in. It has only one bunk in each pod so you’re really separate from everybody else. The location is three hours from Amsterdam although it is very very close to the train station I loved the free fruit and the outside areas. There was two nice garden areas. The only thing I didn’t appreciate or enjoy was I booked in so late at night and it just happened to be handover and the lady could not help me as she was busy counting her hotel and finishing her day so therefore I did not get my free welcome drink. I thought it was just the water on the bar when I asked if there was any food she said no and did not offer me any fruit which of course I realised it’s free so there was food. Another couple were trying to book in at the same time as me so I gave them the computer. I really wish that the woman behind the bar could have told me there was a second computer. There is a stick and iron in the room. Also a bottle of water for greeting would have been nice. The kits are too thick. There are no bathing clothes in the room, only for free loan and not in oversize. It was also very cold in the room. The restaurant is very good, the breakfast was also excellent.

Our TV did not work. Batteries and technical service were/was not available because we checked in after 6 pm. Reported at check-out. Answer: thanks for reporting and sorry for that. However, no compensation or a cup of coffee for the inconvenience. Very disappointing. You book a room with facilities and then you want to use them. We did not make a fuss about it, it is not worth it, but it is a shame. Otherwise a great hotel!

Beautiful exterior, but the interior feels very dated. The whole place would benefit greatly from some investment. Economy rooms resemble dorms: creaky floors (charming at first, but disruptive at night with people using the shared toilets), sagging mattresses, a broken bedside light, only one chair, no decorations, and no ceiling light. I realize we booked an economy room, but this felt extremely basic. On the first night, a party went on until 1:30 am. Guests should be informed in advance, and events shouldn’t run so late if the property also functions as accommodation. It’s also a shame that tours of the abbey come at an extra fee; this could easily be included for guests. Overall, the place feels more focused on making money than investing in guest experience. Lots of potential, but currently disappointing.

Walking distance to spa grocery store and 15mins walk to city centre
Stairs to reception, no lift to reception - not good for disabled people - apparently the other entrance was locked but it has a platform for wheelchair accessibility to the reception/dining room and the lift to other levels. That would have been helpful instead of dragging my suitcase and backpack up about 10 steps to reception. Not good for disabled people with heart condition and brain injury and balance issues. There was no buzzer to call for assistance and couldn't leave suitcase on the street. They need to provide instructions to guests with disabilities to proceed to the other locked door and have a buzzer on that door.
Other than that everything was great

A fantastic gem of a castle!
We spent a family weekend in their ”family room” which is very spacious, enjoyed the sun on the big terrace and enjoyed a ”royal” welcome by the team.

We had three delicious days in this charming boutique hotel. No superfluous luxury, but just that authentic and cute feeling that it makes it so pleasant. The family room was surprisingly spacious enough place to meet just after a day in the city. The bed was beautiful, and the atmosphere in the room felt home and relaxed.
We did not use breakfast because we would like to move back to the city to enjoy the many fun coffee and bakeries in Maastricht.
