I was shocked downstairs and thought it was a residential building, but when I came in, I was suddenly enlightened. There are not a few rooms in the hotel, very boutique. The interior decoration is the common standard of domestic high-end hotels, not amazing, but the view from the terrace is amazing, Jacuzzi is a plus
This hotel probably has the best view in Queenstown. It is very beautiful and quiet. The non-dairy desserts in the restaurant are also delicious. This is the best hotel I stayed in during this trip to New Zealand.
I wonder how many Chinese people have stayed at this treasure hotel?
What a perfect hotel, a beautiful and quiet place in Queenstown.
Enjoy a corner of the sky full of stars,
The service is very considerate, and the fireplace is warm in winter.
We went skiing in the morning and breakfast was delivered to the hotel the night before.
The toiletries are all organic.
In short, although it is a bit far away from the center of Queenstown,
But isn’t that what resort hotels are all about? Queenstown Azur, love it!
Environment: The most important thing is the environment. It is right in the center of Queenstown. Open the window and you will see the largest lake.
Facilities: There is a small happy hour living room with many Chinese elements and a wide variety of wines.
Hygiene: Hygiene is okay, but water easily flows out of the bathing area
Service: The young lady who received me in Queenstown on the first day was very enthusiastic.
Location: The hotel is located close to the Queenstown airport but approximately 15 mins away from Queenstown itself.
Parking: There is no parking bays at the Hilton (only valet) itself but it shares with Doubletree which is limited. Due to some maintenance work, level P2 was closed off and had to park in a reserved slot for the night. Cost of parking is NZ$ 16 per night.
Rooms: This is where my issue lies, the room temp is centrally managed and it was freezing at night especially with the floor to ceiling windows. Had to go to the front desk for portable heater and extra blankets on the 1st night. Bathroom is non-heated (with tiled floors) so extra cold in there. In most places we stayed in NZ, the bathrooms had heated lamps overhead for comfort. I requested the accessible room for mom and it was provided as requested although the location of the room was on one end of the building which is a distance to walk.
Food: Breakfast was a good selection and ran from 630 to 1030am.
Besides a late check in, room was comfortable, clean and tidy, just in bath room in the bath there was some mold which found on my last day, which explained the smell. Was only minor but needs a good scrub in between the tiles in the bath. Still recommend though as good location and facilities and staff are friendly. About 15 minute walk to town centre, or $10-11 uber each way.
The hotel charged service fees and forcibly deducted money from the credit card.
Our family had dinner at the hotel. The hotel waiter thought we were foreigners and didn’t speak good English, so the bill was wrong. After we checked the prices one by one, they changed it.
Great stay! Love the service provided by the concierge staff upon our arrival, did not manage to catch his name but he was fantastic! He was detail oriented and sincere with his service. Especially after a long drive up to Dunedin, he made sure we were well taken care of :)
Room booked was quite tiny, so not recommended to book this room type if you are travelling with big luggage. Room was also quite perfumed - which would've been better if it was much more subtle.
I rarely give hotels bad reviews, and first, I must commend the hotel staff; their service, attitude, and professionalism were outstanding. However, on the very first night of our stay, we encountered several issues:
1. The bathroom exhaust fan was broken. It took until the third day to get it fixed after we reported it. Queenstown gets very cold in winter, so having to leave the bathroom door open for ventilation was truly unpleasant and significantly impacted our experience.
2. The shower pressure was extremely low, and it came with a very loud, high-pitched noise. Taking a shower became a genuinely frustrating experience.
3. The back of the air conditioning unit emitted a green light, positioned right above the head of the bed. This kept me awake all night. It only improved after staff taped it over the next day.
4. Additionally, there were stains on the sofa.
On the positive side, the scenery was excellent, and the complimentary parking was very convenient. However, be aware that if your room is below the 3rd floor, the view will be obstructed (this is important to note). The Airbnb we moved to afterwards offered even better views at a lower price, and even had basic cooking facilities like a stovetop and microwave, allowing us to prepare our own meals.
Overall, this experience was absolutely not worth the price. The hotel offered no compensation, and the room was quite small. I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here.

Very Good
VVictorThe lake view is stunning right through my room window, very impressive. The beds are comfortable and the room’s spacious. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, above and beyond my expectations. The location is perfect, only a walking distance to the town centre but away from the crowds. The bathroom is however out of dated with quite old toilet, sink and bathtub, not on par with a 4-star hotel. The price is very reasonable. I would recommend this hotel for its overall quality.
GGuest UserThis hotel offers excellent service and boasts new facilities. The rooms are incredibly quiet, ensuring a very comfortable night's sleep. I highly recommend staying here when you visit New Zealand. The amenities are comprehensive, and the self-check-in and check-out process is very smart. It's definitely a top choice for accommodation during your travels.
HHuobatuThe hotel environment is particularly good, the proprietress is a Chinese sister, especially good, give me milk, it is very quiet, and very close to the scenic spot, there is a McDonald's and gas station ten meters away, there is a fish and chips 100 meters away, and the Chinese are also delicious but not friendly. In short, the hotel is very clean, the location is good, convenient and fast, parking is very convenient
YYoyo CHThis is my second time booking this place. Definitely my first choice when coming to Queenstown. It’s close to Queenstown airport in Frankly, 20min drive from the busy and crowded Queenstown.
Restaurants and supermarkets are in walking distance (1-1.5km, though you wouldn’t want to walk in freezing weather).
The rooms overlooking the mountains have superb view.
Hotel parking lots are limited.
GGuest UserParking is not free. Hotel breakfast was average. The location was great and staff were friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable and very clean.
CCrystalwuThis hotel is a fantastic choice if you're not renting a car. The location is unbeatable, right on Queenstown Bay. Everything is within easy walking distance: boat departures, the gondola, town shopping, a 24-hour convenience store, and nearby bars. It's perfect for those who like to break up their day; you can explore in the morning, pop back to the hotel for a rest, and then head out again in the afternoon. Five stars for the location! However, the bed was too soft and the room was small. While the lobby was nice, the room itself was pretty standard.
GGuest UserEasy to find and within walking distance to the city center, but driving is easier during the evening when it is cold.
Very helpful and nice people always at the reception. Free washing machine and dryer at the same building. Deck has a bit of view of the lake.
Nothing to complain, except was not too sure the slippers were for re-use or not coz looked a bit dirty or not as white, so did not use them.
LLandersMercure Queenstown Resort has offered very good services with great hospitality. The room given has a great view overseeing a big lake right from the middle. Livin (A name for New Zealander, I suppose) offered great hospitality for us and even treated us a VIP favour by giving an in room slipper.. thank you.. if you are lucky you can even spot a double rainbow…
Superb.. love Queenstown and Mercure Resort..
Also Accor membership is usable here.. bravo..
11860291****Overall, it was very good. I stayed for one night. It was comfortable and warm. Check-in and check-out were easy and hassle-free. It is located in the suburbs. It doesn't matter if you have a car. Overall, it was very good. There are cats. There is also a small bottle of milk when you check in🥛
