"One of our favourite stays in Queenstown! ❤️ The resort has a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere with beautiful lake and mountain views. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and waking up to the scenery every morning really gives you that “New Zealand holiday” feeling. We also loved how quiet it feels compared with staying right in busy Queenstown town centre — perfect if you want to slow down, relax and enjoy the surroundings. ✨ Spacious & comfortable room 🏔️ Beautiful mountain & lake scenery 🧖♀️ Relaxing resort & spa atmosphere ❤️ Great for couples and a peaceful getaway The only thing to consider is the location — it’s not right in Queenstown town centre, so you’ll need to drive or take the water taxi. "Really nice looking room and a very good price performance ratio. And you even get a complimentary drink. Room was nice and warm upon arrival. I didnt really understand the self checkin for a second, cause i didnt know the rooms were directly at the parkinglot, where the whiteboards and the name are written. Really easy and useful for a fast checkin and checkout. I would stay there again."

"Amazing hotel. Good service and friendly staff members. Nice king bed and we had an extra sofa bed which is a bonus, it was set-up for free for us as my partner sleep snoring very loudly. The location is great and easy to find. The downgrade was the parking, there was no free parking as we had to pay $20 per 24hr. So we had to spent $60 just for parking, its ridiculous expensive. The hotel should've provide it free parking. But other than that the stayed was amazing. Had a great restaurant by the wharf and the food is amazing and bonus with an amazing views."

"The service at this hotel was excellent; the staff were all very friendly, and the breakfast was the best, most varied, and most delicious we'd had since Christchurch. It seems the hotel is undergoing renovations, as there was a distinct smell of paint in the hallway, though the room itself was fine. The front desk is located by the lake, but the navigation system hasn't been updated yet. We arrived around 6 PM after dark, and the navigation led us to the street behind the hotel's old building. The hotel lobby offers complimentary wine, chocolates, and cookies at different times throughout the day, which was lovely to enjoy after an afternoon walk. However, there's one facility that definitely needs upgrading: the shower water pressure was extremely weak, and the water temperature was very unstable—either lukewarm or suddenly scalding hot. Overall, showering was very uncomfortable. Aside from the shower, everything else about the hotel was very satisfying 👍"

"I had a very enjoyable stay at Fable Dunedin. The hotel’s interior design is stylish and full of character, with a unique charm that really sets it apart from standard chain hotels. I also appreciated the in-room capsule coffee machine, which was a thoughtful touch. The location is excellent — convenient for exploring the city, and directly across from one of Dunedin’s most popular cafés, which made mornings especially enjoyable. Overall, a memorable stay and definitely a hotel I would recommend to anyone visiting Dunedin."

"If you use Google Maps, remember to select the pedestrian path for directions. Otherwise, it may guide you to an abandoned house. The view from the dining room was nice, but we found some short blond hairs on the bed. We weren't too concerned about it, but others might be. The breakfast is quite Western—bread and jam, with milk or yogurt. It's a nice place, suitable for a short nap before takeoff. Nearby Saddle Hill is a great spot for viewing the Southern Lights if the timing is right. You could also ask John for local tips—he might know the best viewing spots. "The hotel charged service fees and forcibly deducted money from the credit card. Our family had dinner at the hotel. The hotel waiter thought we were foreigners and didn’t speak good English, so the bill was wrong. After we checked the prices one by one, they changed it."
