From all the reviews on TA, didnt expect much. Was afraid of a dirty/smoky room but was the complete opposite... Stayed on a comp over Memorial Day weekend Sat-Tues (my feedback would be the same if the room was paid). Opted for mobile check in which was convenient and was able to obtain my room around 2PM. Albeit I didnt have to stand at a check in line, I still had to stand in line for my key which is counter-productive. Would be nice if there was a single kiosk for online check ins. The crowd there is mostly people 50+ who want to stand in line...I dont. I want my key quickly so I can jet. Lady checking me in was very nice...BS'd with her a few minutes since no one was in line behind me. Assigned a room on the 4th floor. View of the parking lot---didnt care since the elevator up/down to the room was quick. The hallway though smelled bad---I would have preferred cigarettes but this was OLD MAN BODY ODOR-----was terrible. It even stuck with me til we got into our room---I was like, is that me all of a sudden? Did I sweat and auto-smell? Why does it smell like a musty old man in the hallway? The stink lingered for two days and then by Monday it was gone. Anyways, the room was clean and tidy. Didnt inspect every corner of the room but the general appearance was that it was clean. Enjoyed the spacious bathroom and shower mostly. TV needs to be upgraded from a 32 inch to at least 40 inch considering they have the space for it. Small fridge worked fine. Didnt use the coffee maker. Bed comfy, pillows, not so much. Had a hard time sleeping night 1 but built a pillow fort and was able to get some descent sleep the following nights. For it being a holiday weekend, didnt really hear or see anyone on the floor. Was very quiet. Water pressure in the shower was A+. Everything seemed to work just fine. Again, this rating is just for the room/check in experience. Not the ****** or restaurants.

My experience was good, other than the tv not working it was a place to stay the price was the best part of the whole deal

It's perfect for a one-night stay before leaving. The room was spacious and nice. There's not much to see around here. It's just a business hotel.

The front best person is very helpful she had a good customer service she told me her name was Julie they have free breakfast in the mornings the room for very nice and clean the hotel is being remodeled it's very nice they're very friendly I attitude three nights stay here so far the service is very nice

Great staff, very clean. Love the lobby area with lots of food options. Valet guys were on top of things. (Thank you Miguel!) Overall excellent experience. Thank you!

We stayed at this hotel while celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday with a trip to St. Elmo’s. The location was really great - we did a lot of walking around town during the day and were even able to walk to St. Elmo’s later that night. It’s a very beautiful area! The hotel staff was quite friendly and helpful. During our stay there was an issue with the keycards but the staff was very accommodating with letting us in and out of the room as needed. Our room was very comfortable - although a little worn looking - it was clean and we were happy with it. Overall this was a great place to stay and we would recommend it to others visiting the area!

Hotel cost-effective, facilities can. It is the airport shuttle bus to the hotel is too small, waiting too long.

The stay was excellent, we booked a handicapped room. The facilities were perfect especially since my back had been bothering me on this trip.. The complimentary breakfast was great also. Thank you for perfect site. Paul Amoroso

Breakfast is self-help, American breakfast, don't say it, can eat enough without problems. Parking is charged, $5 a night, next to a Pakistani Romance, and other Chinese food, good

The hotel is very nice and clean for an older building. The location is perfect for all the fun things to do in downtown Indy. What really made this stay spectacular was that every working we encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful. There was a nice man greeting us as we entered and waited in a short line to check in. This was during a very busy night with a major sporting event. The front desk was super friendly, and the two ladies working breakfast were as sweet and helpful as can be. We really felt like we were part of their family. Thanks for a great stay!!

I stayed here for a extended stay. The staff and building were clean and professional. The area felt safe and secure and the room was very nice. Andy #827 was especially helpful on more than one occasion. Great place would stay again!

Room 2618 was a beautiful room. A few comments: 1) The room door was slightly misaligned and did not shut. They did fix it very quickly. 2) The internet went out on Thursday for 6+ hours Overall, the experience was great. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The room was cleaned daily, which is different from many hotels currently.

Spend the extra $20-30 and get a nicer hotel in a better part of town. For starters, it’s hard to figure out where to turn into to get to the motel. When you do, it looks ROUGH. Broken windows, trash, sketchy-looking people. I will say that the person at the front desk was incredibly nice and helpful. They got me some soap because my room didn’t have any. Spoiler alert: their kindness and a fairly comfy bed are the only good things about this place. The vending/ice machines were all out of order. The hallways smelled like **** and a lot of the rooms were open and used as maintenance rooms. It was creepy. The room itself wasn’t much better. The carpet was dirty, torn and had burn marks in it. The a/c unit was older than I am. The bed, albeit comfy, had stained and/or possibly dirty sheets and pillows. And the bathroom was pretty bad too. Just don’t stay here. It was still almost $100 for one night. Spend an extra $20 and get a better room.

The hotel is very nice and clean for an older building. The location is perfect for all the fun things to do in downtown Indy. We have been here several times and the place is very clean and comfortable, breakfast is quite varied and can make your own pancakes or waffles, the Manager is Hispanic and is very well-oriented to activities in the area of Michigan City

This hotel was not clean, the carpet at the entry, lobby and throughout was disgusting, rooms smelled like smoke and we found ants in our beds. Linda at the front desk was extremely rude and charged two members of our party twice for their rooms. She refused to take it off and kept speaking to us as if we had never booked an hotel before. Her tone was condescending and disrespectful to say the least and when we complained about the cigarette smell she blamed us for not reporting it earlier and threaten us with a $100 charge! We booked over 20 rooms at this hotel and was treated like we paid nothing.

If you are looking for an economical hotel that is clean and have staff that go the extra mile for guests--this is the hotel for you. My wife was having a procedure at the hospital. We live hours away. I booked this room so that I would not have to sit in hard waiting room chair for hours at the hospital. The room was very clean and comfortable. The price was perfect. This is a big thank you to Veronica (nite shift Mar 3) and Camella (day shift Mar 4) for their superior customer service. My stress level was eased by staying at this hotel and the front desk staff. The hotel is not fancy but definitely meets your needs

This place is trash. The rooms are run-down and there's no safe, nor do the doors to the outside lock. The rooms are in serious need of a renovation, and there were no toiletries in the bathroom, as advertised. The sound is awful and you won't be able to sleep at night without the fan running, which only runs constantly if you set if for no heat/air, so you can either have a silent night without temperature control, or a noisy night with temperature control. We didn't even bother checking out breakfast but the set-up alone shows that it would have been sub-standard. We stayed because it was immediately next door to the venue we were visting; never making this mistake again.

The hotel has free parking and the breakfast is simple, it is a standard American breakfast. There is a free swimming pool, gym, new hotel facilities, clean rooms, the hotel is by the lake, you can take a walk by the lake.
