I really liked the oriental-style hotel; it's very beautiful, with clean, cozy rooms, polite staff, and a beautifully designed interior. I really liked the owner, Anvar, who helped us exchange money and took us to the center of the old city, suggesting interesting excursions. I definitely recommend this hotel; it has a very luxurious interior. If I ever return to Bukhara, I'll definitely stay here.

The hotel was decent in most aspects, but it was really frustrating that they wouldn't refund me when I had to check out early. I booked for two nights and tried to cancel the second night on the day I checked in, which should have been fine since it was more than 24 hours in advance. The front desk told me to contact Trip.com. After Trip.com submitted the request, it took two days for them to reply, only to reject it. After a lot of back and forth, Trip.com eventually reimbursed me half the amount, so I still lost half the money. The whole experience was very unaccommodating for guests.

The best thing about this place is its cleanliness. We had a very comfortable four-day stay. The service was attentive and considerate. It's a quiet place, just a 3-5 minute walk from the old town. We had a great time exploring the old town over four days. Thank you to the owner for providing us with such a comfortable place to stay!

It was a wonderful stay. It's very close to tourist attractions like the Ark Fortress, all within walking distance. The owner was very friendly and kindly accommodated our requests. Regarding dinner, we hadn't made any reservations, but when we asked, they went to the bazaar to buy ingredients for $15 USD per person, providing plov, four kinds of salad, herbal tea, and various fruits. The quality and quantity were excellent; it would definitely cost more than $15 USD at a regular restaurant. We were able to fully enjoy the local cuisine. Although we declined as we are poor students, they also offer a master class on plov for an additional $10 USD per person. Please note that prices may change as this was a last-minute request. Breakfast included salad, soup, and coffee, and there was absolutely nothing to complain about. While they do offer typical sausage breakfasts, I recommend trying the local soup if you're in Bukhara. Again, the quantity and quality were superb. The guest rooms were new and spotlessly clean, as the hostel only opened two and a half years ago. The design was also very nice. I wholeheartedly recommend this hostel, which is perfect in every aspect: food, accommodation, and hospitality!

I didn't like it. The room was clean, but the courtyard wasn't. I'd clean the stairs and the chairs on the veranda, where breakfast leaves dirty stains on clothes. Breakfast was average, okay, but nothing special, mostly store-bought food. The shower stall in the room was broken, and the TV didn't work. When I contacted the receptionist, they promised to fix it, but in reality, nothing happened. It was just an oriental fairy tale. Another issue was paying the tourist tax: the website lists the price in soums, but at the hotel it's $5 with the exchange rate the receptionist wanted, plus the VAT paid upon booking. It's all pennies, essentially, but in reality, it's business as usual. And the link says it's incorrectly calculated and the reservation doesn't mean anything, as if in Uzbekistan the tourist tax is paid in dollars.

For a three-star hotel everything is normal. Of the pluses: room dressing, good restaurant available from morning to night, good wi-fi, very quiet) From the downsides: to the old city 20 minutes walk, it is uncomfortable to go, it is necessary to cross the tracks and the bed area. Bed is large but uncomfortable I: no mattress, bad pillows, washed grey bed linen. In the shower there is no pressure, the bathroom is gained 3 hours.

The room had a classic, antique charm and was quite quiet. The local staff were very thoughtful; I was catching an early morning flight when I checked out, and they even packed me breakfast in case I was hungry. It's a great place for Chinese people like us to stay.

OOlimpionikThe hotel itself is very good, clean, and tidy. The breakfasts are good, the location is simply superb, and the staff is responsive. Overall, I recommend it. The only downside was the WiFi. We stayed in room 13 on the second floor, and the WiFi only worked normally by the window; the reception was very weak. Meanwhile, the WiFi from the neighboring hotel was fine. Unfortunately, the hotel staff couldn't help us with this. There were no issues with the WiFi on the first floor.

GGuest UserWasn’t a very pleasant stay. On the first day we felt like a scam. We booked the room with an open window door but when we checked in, they gave us an accessible room next to the lift. Nothing looked like the picture on trip.com nor on Mercure website. The accessible bathroom design was also a huge miss. We tried to talk to front desk but they said that’s the last room they have and there were twin beds in the room, so that’s the correct room. They in the end asked us to request for room change the next day if we don’t ‘like’ it. We waited the manager until late morning next day and explained the issue which was more than a room change request. The manager admitted there are only a few rooms that actually look like the picture on their website. They finally gave us the room that we actually booked after a long argument, and compensated us on the first night issue. Beware of what you booked. They mixed a lot of different rooms into one room category and charge the same price point. The room amenities were basic also.

NNari.I recently had the pleasure of staying at Boutique Old City, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. Perfectly located in the heart of the old town, the hotel offers convenient access to major historical attractions, local restaurants, and vibrant الأسواق, all within walking distance. This made it incredibly easy to explore the cultural charm of the city without needing transportation. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the team went out of their way to ensure I felt welcomed. They were always ready to assist with recommendations, directions, and even small personal requests, which added a thoughtful touch to the overall experience. The room itself was beautifully designed, blending traditional aesthetics with modern comfort. It was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with attention to detail in both décor and amenities. The bed was especially comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after long days of sightseeing. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere despite the central location, which can often be a challenge in busy areas. One of the standout features of Boutique Old City is its charming courtyard. It provides a peaceful space to relax, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and soak in the historical ambiance. In the mornings, breakfast was served with a variety of local and international options. Everything was fresh and delicious, and it was a great way to start the day. Another aspect worth mentioning is the hotel’s authenticity. Unlike larger chain hotels, Boutique Old City offers a more intimate and culturally immersive experience. The architecture and interior design reflect the heritage of the region, allowing guests to feel more connected to the destination. Overall, my stay at Boutique Old City exceeded expectations. It combines excellent location, friendly service, and comfortable accommodation in a way that truly enhances the travel experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and authentic stay in the old city.

AA.TyagiI had a wonderful stay. The most beautiful room I experienced in Uzbekistan. The hotel is built around a central open courtyard, with rooms on all sides. When you step out of your room, you’re on a balcony overlooking the space, facing the other rooms across the way. It gives the whole place a really calm, traditional feel. What truly made the stay special, though, was the hospitality. The hotel is family-run, and the owner is incredibly kind and thoughtful. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, getting us water at night, arranging something for us to eat before a late departure, and helping organize a taxi. His son also helps run the place and he's really kind, diligent and attentive Breakfast was also very enjoyable, served in a bright and welcoming room that made mornings feel relaxed and pleasant. Overall, a warm, comfortable, and genuinely caring place to stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bukhara.

GGuest UserI booked a superior single room. I was a bit worried because I didn't get a response when I asked if it would be one bed for two adults, but thankfully it turned out to be two single beds pushed together, which was a relief. The room was on the first floor, a corner unit, facing a small courtyard past the reception (not the courtyard shown in pictures). Security was excellent. However, a downside was that the courtyard light stayed on all night, and the light coming through the glass window above the door disturbed my sleep. Also, the middle of the mattress was worn out, making it uncomfortable to sleep on. The reception staff were fluent in English and very helpful. Since I had an early check-out, they even prepared a breakfast box with sandwiches and an apple. Yandex taxi also came right to the hotel entrance, which was great. If I visit again, I'd definitely like to stay in a room facing the courtyard past the breakfast area.

MMladenowskiWe enjoyed a brief, one-night stay at this charming hotel, and it left a positive impression. The room was spotless and well-maintained, offering comfort and a cozy atmosphere. Its location was truly unbeatable—just a few steps from the main square in the heart of the old city, making it the perfect base for exploring the historical sights and vibrant local culture. The hotel staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, going out of their way to ensure our stay was smooth. A special mention goes to the receptionist, who graciously covered our taxi fare when I didn’t have smaller banknotes on hand—an unexpected gesture that truly reflected the hotel's commitment to hospitality. Breakfast was modest but satisfactory, offering a simple continental selection that provided an easy, light start to the day. While it wasn’t particularly remarkable, it served its purpose for a short stay. Overall, our time at the hotel was pleasant and comfortable. The combination of its prime location, clean accommodations, and attentive service made for an enjoyable experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for travelers seeking convenience and a warm welcome in the city’s historic center. PS please put tea bags in original covers and add coffee into drinks selection.

NNarrilexAn absolutely wonderful hotel that left us with absolutely wonderful memories! The Lyabi Hauz Hotel is located just a stone's throw from Lyabi Hauz in the old historic city of Bukhara. The streets are narrow, nestled between closely packed houses, often other hotels, and cars are not allowed. So the taxi driver dropped us off near the edge of the old city, and we then wheeled our suitcases to the hotel. Apparently, the Lyabi Hauz Hotel is a former madrassa converted into a hotel. A small part of the hotel is occupied by the Aivan restaurant, which apparently serves primarily European dishes, but at lunch you can try Bukhara pilaf, which is not on the menu. The location right next to the tourist center is a definite advantage. It was very convenient to walk to the nearby attractions, of which there are plenty. We also walked to Samonid Park and the Ark Fortress. Our room was comfortable, with windows overlooking an inner courtyard that could be screened off with curtains. The Wi-Fi worked well. The only downsides I could find were that the bathroom exhaust fan was loud and turned on with the light, and that there wasn't enough space in the bathroom to hang two sets of towels—there weren't enough hooks or anything else to hang four towels. But those are minor details. We really enjoyed our stay and relaxation at this hotel, thank you!
