As a J-person (planner), I actually believed the “P-person (go-with-the-flow) can blindly follow” Phuket guide, and these 7 days turned into a chaotic adventure! Families with kids, please don’t follow this! Listen to my detailed warnings. Full of itinerary pitfalls, be cautious with kids: DAY 2 Similan Islands day tour: ‼️An absolute nightmare for kids! A 1.5-hour speedboat ride one way, with big waves and bumps that felt like your soul was shaken out. Everyone on the boat, adults and kids alike, were seasick, ruining the beautiful scenery. The so-called “lazy version” just means a different boat, but the suffering is the same. The kids were exhausted all day after getting off the boat. DAY 3 Phuket Town + Night Market: Phuket Town is just some colorful houses, kids didn’t care. The night market was crowded and stuffy, the food hygiene was worrying, so I didn’t let the kids eat much. DAY 4 Emperor Island diving: Diving has an age limit (usually 10+), so kids can’t join. What do the kids do? They just wait foolishly on the boat or play on the beach, but the beach is scorching hot, making the experience very unpleasant. DAY 5 Return from Emperor Island + Coral Island stop: The itinerary was still exhausting, dragging luggage on and off boats. Renting beach chairs on Coral Island costs extra, it felt like being “sold like a piglet,” shuttling between islands. DAY 6 Sunset viewing + Rawai Seafood Market: The sunset at Promthep Cape was packed with people, no good spot for holding kids. Rawai Seafood Market is notorious for ripping off tourists, prices need to be bargained down by half, taking kids there to bargain is mentally draining. The right approach to traveling in Phuket with kids (my regret): Absolutely do not island hop! Do not island hop! Do not island hop! Important things said three times. Choose a hotel with a good beach (like Kata Beach) and stay put, at most join one half-day trip to Egg Island (short boat ride). Don’t change hotels frequently: We changed hotels 4 times, packing and unpacking was exhausting, and the kids lacked a sense of security. It’s best to stick to 1-2 hotels. Focus activities on kids: Fantasea Park, Nemo Dolphinarium, ethical elephant sanctuaries—these are what kids enjoy. Not diving, shooting, or sunset watching. Eat at malls: Central Phuket and Jungceylon have clean, hygienic restaurants with air conditioning and kids’ meals. Isn’t that better? Plan transportation in advance: Airport transfers and trips to malls can be booked ahead on Taobao, which is more convenient than hailing taxis last minute. Real insights: When traveling with kids, avoid “rushing the itinerary” and “chasing trendy check-ins.” The P-person’s casual style is based on having no kids to worry about. We J-person parents need careful planning, but the focus should be on “comfort, safety, and fun,” not “check-ins, thrills, and photo ops.” In Phuket, a good hotel is half the happiness, so invest your budget and energy there.

I'll attach the price list in the carousel✔️ 🔸We chose the family photo + video package😍 It cost us approximately 5000₽. You'll be added to a queue based on time. Yes, there is a queue😅. We knew there could be long waits, so we arrived at 9:30 AM, although the location itself is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We were listed as number 5 in the queue and were scheduled for 10:40 AM. However, we were called earlier, possibly because of the kids. 🔸You select your package and pay at the entrance, receive tickets, and are invited to wait in the cafe. You can grab a bite while waiting🙂 🔸The place itself isn't very large, but it's incredibly beautiful😻🪷. It feels like stepping into a serene Thai village. Surrounding the pond are rows of traditional Thai wooden houses with pointed roofs. The pond is home to Victoria Amazonica—the largest water lily in the world. There's also a bridge where you can take photos and record videos on your phone. Access to the boat is ticket-based only. 🔸When your turn comes, you'll be invited. The boat is cleaned after each visitor, and towels are placed for comfortable lying🙂. They're arranged in a way that they're barely visible in photos and videos👍. 🔸The footage is shot by Thai professionals using a drone. They guide you on how to pose and what to do. They adjust your position each time😃 and fix your clothing. It's clear they're experienced videographers👍. 🔸The content is sent directly to your phone📱. If your budget allows, your vacation can be royal, but not everyone here is a millionaire, right? And then there's the so-called local side of the city. This includes the Deira district, Kite Beach, Sunset Beach, and affordable restaurants. The distance between them is just 15 minutes, but the difference is huge! 🪄 Like magic! I've been to both. As a J-person (planner), I actually believed the “P-person (go-with-the-flow) can blindly follow” Phuket guide, and these 7 days turned into a chaotic adventure! Families with kids, please don’t follow this! Listen to my detailed warnings. Full of itinerary pitfalls, be cautious with kids: DAY 2 Similan Islands day tour: ‼️An absolute nightmare for kids! A 1.5-hour speedboat ride one way, with big waves and bumps that felt like your soul was shaken out. Everyone on the boat, adults and kids alike, were seasick, ruining the beautiful scenery. The so-called “lazy version” just means a different boat, but the suffering is the same. The kids were exhausted all day after getting off the boat. DAY 3 Phuket Town + Night Market: Phuket Town is just some colorful houses, kids didn’t care. The night market was crowded and stuffy, the food hygiene was worrying, so I didn’t let the kids eat much. DAY 4 Emperor Island diving: Diving has an age limit (usually 10+), so kids can’t join. What do the kids do? They just wait foolishly on the boat or play on the beach, but the beach is scorching hot, making the experience very unpleasant. DAY 5 Return from Emperor Island + Coral Island stop: The itinerary was still exhausting, dragging luggage on and off boats. Renting beach chairs on Coral Island costs extra, it felt like being “sold like a piglet,” shuttling between islands. DAY 6 Sunset viewing + Rawai Seafood Market: The sunset at Promthep Cape was packed with people, no good spot for holding kids. Rawai Seafood Market is notorious for ripping off tourists, prices need to be bargained down by half, taking kids there to bargain is mentally draining. The right approach to traveling in Phuket with kids (my regret): Absolutely do not island hop! Do not island hop! Do not island hop! Important things said three times. Choose a hotel with a good beach (like Kata Beach) and stay put, at most join one half-day trip to Egg Island (short boat ride). Don’t change hotels frequently: We changed hotels 4 times, packing and unpacking was exhausting, and the kids lacked a sense of security. It’s best to stick to 1-2 hotels. Focus activities on kids: Fantasea Park, Nemo Dolphinarium, ethical elephant sanctuaries—these are what kids enjoy. Not diving, shooting, or sunset watching. Eat at malls: Central Phuket and Jungceylon have clean, hygienic restaurants with air conditioning and kids’ meals. Isn’t that better? Plan transportation in advance: Airport transfers and trips to malls can be booked ahead on Taobao, which is more convenient than hailing taxis last minute. Real insights: When traveling with kids, avoid “rushing the itinerary” and “chasing trendy check-ins.” The P-person’s casual style is based on having no kids to worry about. We J-person parents need careful planning, but the focus should be on “comfort, safety, and fun,” not “check-ins, thrills, and photo ops.” In Phuket, a good hotel is half the happiness, so invest your budget and energy there.

A 1.5-hour speedboat ride one way, with big waves and bumps that felt like your soul was shaken out. Everyone on the boat, adults and kids alike, were seasick, ruining the beautiful scenery. The so-called “lazy version” just means a different boat, but the suffering is the same. The kids were exhausted all day after getting off the boat. DAY 3 Phuket Town + Night Market: Phuket Town is just some colorful houses, kids didn’t care. The night market was crowded and stuffy, the food hygiene was worrying, so I didn’t let the kids eat much. DAY 4 Emperor Island diving: Diving has an age limit (usually 10+), so kids can’t join. What do the kids do? They just wait foolishly on the boat or play on the beach, but the beach is scorching hot, making the experience very unpleasant. DAY 5 Return from Emperor Island + Coral Island stop: The itinerary was still exhausting, dragging luggage on and off boats. Renting beach chairs on Coral Island costs extra, it felt like being “sold like a piglet,” shuttling between islands. DAY 6 Sunset viewing + Rawai Seafood Market: The sunset at Promthep Cape was packed with people, no good spot for holding kids. Rawai Seafood Market is notorious for ripping off tourists, prices need to be bargained down by half, taking kids there to bargain is mentally draining. Families with kids, please don’t follow this! Listen to my detailed warnings. Full of itinerary pitfalls, be cautious with kids: DAY 2 Similan Islands day tour: ‼️An absolute nightmare for kids! A 1.5-hour speedboat ride one way, with big waves and bumps that felt like your soul was shaken out. Everyone on the boat, adults and kids alike, were seasick, ruining the beautiful scenery. The so-called “lazy version” just means a different boat, but the suffering is the same. The kids were exhausted all day after getting off the boat. DAY 3 Phuket Town + Night Market: Phuket Town is just some colorful houses, kids didn’t care. The night market was crowded and stuffy, the food hygiene was worrying, so I didn’t let the kids eat much. DAY 4 Emperor Island diving: Diving has an age limit (usually 10+), so kids can’t join. What do the kids do? They just wait foolishly on the boat or play on the beach, but the beach is scorching hot, making the experience very unpleasant. DAY 5 Return from Emperor Island + Coral Island stop: The itinerary was still exhausting, dragging luggage on and off boats. Renting beach chairs on Coral Island costs extra, it felt like being “sold like a piglet,” shuttling between islands. DAY 6 Sunset viewing + Rawai Seafood Market: The sunset at Promthep Cape was packed with people, no good spot for holding kids. Rawai Seafood Market is notorious for ripping off tourists, prices need to be bargained down by half, taking kids there to bargain is mentally draining. The right approach to traveling in Phuket with kids (my regret): Absolutely do not island hop! Do not island hop! Do not island hop! Important things said three times. Choose a hotel with a good beach (like Kata Beach) and stay put, at most join one half-day trip to Egg Island (short boat ride). Don’t change hotels frequently: We changed hotels 4 times, packing and unpacking was exhausting, and the kids lacked a sense of security. It’s best to stick to 1-2 hotels. Focus activities on kids: Fantasea Park, Nemo Dolphinarium, ethical elephant sanctuaries—these are what kids enjoy. Not diving, shooting, or sunset watching. Eat at malls: Central Phuket and Jungceylon have clean, hygienic restaurants with air conditioning and kids’ meals. Isn’t that better? Plan transportation in advance: Airport transfers and trips to malls can be booked ahead on Taobao, which is more convenient than hailing taxis last minute. Real insights: When traveling with kids, avoid “rushing the itinerary” and “chasing trendy check-ins.” The P-person’s casual style is based on having no kids to worry about. Families with kids, please don’t follow this! Listen to my detailed warnings. Full of itinerary pitfalls, be cautious with kids: DAY 2 Similan Islands day tour: ‼️An absolute nightmare for kids! A 1.5-hour speedboat ride one way, with big waves and bumps that felt like your soul was shaken out. Everyone on the boat, adults and kids alike, were seasick, ruining the beautiful scenery. The so-called “lazy version” just means a different boat, but the suffering is the same. The kids were exhausted all day after getting off the boat. DAY 3 Phuket Town + Night Market: Phuket Town is just some colorful houses, kids didn’t care. The night market was crowded and stuffy, the food hygiene was worrying, so I didn’t let the kids eat much. DAY 4 Emperor Island diving: Diving has an age limit (usually 10+), so kids can’t join. What do the kids do? They just wait foolishly on the boat or play on the beach, but the beach is scorching hot, making the experience very unpleasant. DAY 5 Return from Emperor Island + Coral Island stop: The itinerary was still exhausting, dragging luggage on and off boats. Renting beach chairs on Coral Island costs extra, it felt like being “sold like a piglet,” shuttling between islands. DAY 6 Sunset viewing + Rawai Seafood Market: The sunset at Promthep Cape was packed with people, no good spot for holding kids. Rawai Seafood Market is notorious for ripping off tourists, prices need to be bargained down by half, taking kids there to bargain is mentally draining. The right approach to traveling in Phuket with kids (my regret): Absolutely do not island hop! Do not island hop! Do not island hop! Important things said three times. Choose a hotel with a good beach (like Kata Beach) and stay put, at most join one half-day trip to Egg Island (short boat ride). Don’t change hotels frequently: We changed hotels 4 times, packing and unpacking was exhausting, and the kids lacked a sense of security. It’s best to stick to 1-2 hotels. Focus activities on kids: Fantasea Park, Nemo Dolphinarium, ethical elephant sanctuaries—these are what kids enjoy. Not diving, shooting, or sunset watching. Eat at malls: Central Phuket and Jungceylon have clean, hygienic restaurants with air conditioning and kids’ meals. Isn’t that better? Plan transportation in advance: Airport transfers and trips to malls can be booked ahead on Taobao, which is more convenient than hailing taxis last minute. Real insights: When traveling with kids, avoid “rushing the itinerary” and “chasing trendy check-ins.” The P-person’s casual style is based on having no kids to worry about. We J-person parents need careful planning, but the focus should be on “comfort, safety, and fun,” not “check-ins, thrills, and photo ops.” In Phuket, a good hotel is half the happiness, so invest your budget and energy there.

We knew there could be long waits, so we arrived at 9:30 AM, although the location itself is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We were listed as number 5 in the queue and were scheduled for 10:40 AM. However, we were called earlier, possibly because of the kids. 🔸You select your package and pay at the entrance, receive tickets, and are invited to wait in the cafe. The hotel is right in the heart of Patong Beach, just about a ten-minute walk to the beach, Jungceylon, and the lively streets 🚶 But once you step inside, the outside noise feels completely cut off, instantly switching to a quiet mode. This joy of tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle is something only guests can truly appreciate! A detail lover’s delight 🎨 It’s said that the hotel’s decoration took a full two years, with many small decorations sourced from overseas ⬇️ The little elephant door sign 🪧 at the room entrance, the hand-painted maps in the kitchen 🗺, and the solid wood bedside tables and stools are all handmade, filled with thoughtful little details that make the stay feel especially warm ☀️ A lazy person’s dream ☕ Although the hotel doesn’t provide ready-made breakfast, it thoughtfully offers plenty of ingredients: bread, coffee, milk, instant noodles, and more 🍞🥛 There’s also a fully automatic coffee machine in the shared kitchen ☕️ Getting up in the morning to brew your own coffee and toast some bread, enjoying a slow breakfast, is much more comfortable than rushing to a restaurant! If your budget allows, your vacation can be royal, but not everyone here is a millionaire, right? And then there's the so-called local side of the city. This includes the Deira district, Kite Beach, Sunset Beach, and affordable restaurants. The distance between them is just 15 minutes, but the difference is huge! 🪄 Like magic! I've been to both. The "Old Town," in my opinion, feels more soulful. To fully experience this contrast, visit the Golden Frame! It's where futurism and tradition meet in one place. A 1.5-hour speedboat ride one way, with big waves and bumps that felt like your soul was shaken out. Everyone on the boat, adults and kids alike, were seasick, ruining the beautiful scenery. The so-called “lazy version” just means a different boat, but the suffering is the same. The kids were exhausted all day after getting off the boat. DAY 3 Phuket Town + Night Market: Phuket Town is just some colorful houses, kids didn’t care. The night market was crowded and stuffy, the food hygiene was worrying, so I didn’t let the kids eat much. DAY 4 Emperor Island diving: Diving has an age limit (usually 10+), so kids can’t join. What do the kids do? They just wait foolishly on the boat or play on the beach, but the beach is scorching hot, making the experience very unpleasant. DAY 5 Return from Emperor Island + Coral Island stop: The itinerary was still exhausting, dragging luggage on and off boats. Renting beach chairs on Coral Island costs extra, it felt like being “sold like a piglet,” shuttling between islands. DAY 6 Sunset viewing + Rawai Seafood Market: The sunset at Promthep Cape was packed with people, no good spot for holding kids. Rawai Seafood Market is notorious for ripping off tourists, prices need to be bargained down by half, taking kids there to bargain is mentally draining. The right approach to traveling in Phuket with kids (my regret): Absolutely do not island hop! Do not island hop! Do not island hop! Important things said three times. Choose a hotel with a good beach (like Kata Beach) and stay put, at most join one half-day trip to Egg Island (short boat ride). Focus activities on kids: Fantasea Park, Nemo Dolphinarium, ethical elephant sanctuaries—these are what kids enjoy. Not diving, shooting, or sunset watching. Eat at malls: Central Phuket and Jungceylon have clean, hygienic restaurants with air conditioning and kids’ meals. Isn’t that better? Overall, it's an incredibly cool and photogenic place❤️ This location isn't very well-known among tourists because it's not included in standard tours, but it is featured in tours like "Secret Places of Phuket." ⠀ 🔸We booked a taxi from our hotel🚕. When you arrive, you'll immediately see a counter with pricing for photos and videos🙂. I'll attach the price list in the carousel✔️ 🔸We chose the family photo + video package😍 It cost us approximately 5000₽. You'll be added to a queue based on time. Yes, there is a queue😅. We knew there could be long waits, so we arrived at 9:30 AM, although the location itself is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We were listed as number 5 in the queue and were scheduled for 10:40 AM. However, we were called earlier, possibly because of the kids. 🔸You select your package and pay at the entrance, receive tickets, and are invited to wait in the cafe. You can grab a bite while waiting🙂 🔸The place itself isn't very large, but it's incredibly beautiful😻🪷. It feels like stepping into a serene Thai village. Surrounding the pond are rows of traditional Thai wooden houses with pointed roofs. The pond is home to Victoria Amazonica—the largest water lily in the world. There's also a bridge where you can take photos and record videos on your phone. Access to the boat is ticket-based only. 🔸When your turn comes, you'll be invited. The boat is cleaned after each visitor, and towels are placed for comfortable lying🙂. They're arranged in a way that they're barely visible in photos and videos👍. 🔸The footage is shot by Thai professionals using a drone. They guide you on how to pose and what to do. They adjust your position each time😃 and fix your clothing. It's clear they're experienced videographers👍. 🔸The content is sent directly to your phone📱. Very convenient👍. 🔸The session doesn't take long, probably around 15 minutes. ⠀ An excellent spot for photoshoots and enjoying aesthetic pleasure🌴.

The hotel is right in the heart of Patong Beach, just about a ten-minute walk to the beach, Jungceylon, and the lively streets 🚶 But once you step inside, the outside noise feels completely cut off, instantly switching to a quiet mode. This joy of tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle is something only guests can truly appreciate! A detail lover’s delight 🎨 It’s said that the hotel’s decoration took a full two years, with many small decorations sourced from overseas ⬇️ The little elephant door sign 🪧 at the room entrance, the hand-painted maps in the kitchen 🗺, and the solid wood bedside tables and stools are all handmade, filled with thoughtful little details that make the stay feel especially warm ☀️ A lazy person’s dream ☕ Although the hotel doesn’t provide ready-made breakfast, it thoughtfully offers plenty of ingredients: bread, coffee, milk, instant noodles, and more 🍞🥛 There’s also a fully automatic coffee machine in the shared kitchen ☕️ Getting up in the morning to brew your own coffee and toast some bread, enjoying a slow breakfast, is much more comfortable than rushing to a restaurant! The rooms are also very clean, with soft duck down comforters and blackout curtains, so after a tiring day, you can fall into a peaceful sleep right away 💤 In such a lively place like Patong Beach, finding a quiet, comfortable, and warm hotel like this ☀️ is truly an unexpected highlight of this trip!

Everything is expensive, the beaches aren't crystal clear, and there are crowds everywhere... The thing is, Dubai is multifaceted. There's the tourist side, with the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and the crowded and, let's be honest, not-so-clean JBR Beach 🌊. If your budget allows, your vacation can be royal, but not everyone here is a millionaire, right? And then there's the so-called local side of the city. This includes the Deira district, Kite Beach, Sunset Beach, and affordable restaurants. The distance between them is just 15 minutes, but the difference is huge! 🪄 Like magic! I've been to both. The "Old Town," in my opinion, feels more soulful. To fully experience this contrast, visit the Golden Frame! It's where futurism and tradition meet in one place. Definitely check it out, as you can see these two sides of Dubai—the touristy and the "local"—in all their glory, and also learn about the city's history ✨
