Found my love in Barcelona 😍
#coupletravel
Barcelona was an absolute dream for our couple’s getaway! ❤️ We spent our days wandering through the Gothic Quarter, getting lost in its narrow, winding streets full of history and charm. The highlight was definitely visiting La Sagrada Família. 🏰 The entrance fee was around €26 per person, but it’s worth every euro – the intricate details and the stunning interior blew us away. We also took a leisurely stroll through Park Güell (entrance €10), where Gaudí’s colorful mosaics and architecture created the perfect backdrop for some romantic photos. 📸
In the evenings, we enjoyed tapas at local bars and watched the sunset at the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, which was a free and magical experience. 🌅 The atmosphere was so lively and vibrant, especially in places like La Rambla and the beach at Barceloneta. The city has a little bit of everything – history, culture, great food, and beautiful sights. We can’t wait to come back! #trip #Barcelona #CoupleTravel #Gaudí #SpainAdventures #RomanticGetaway

🇪🇸Radisson Blu 1882 Hotel
#poolhotel
We had a wonderful stay at Radisson Blu 1882 Hotel during our trip to Barcelona ! The highlight of this hotel is the view from the rooftop where we could spot Sagrada Familia from afar! The pool is also located at the rooftop where guests could lounge by the pool and enjoy the stunning views. No reservations were needed to use the pool. The location of this hotel is extremely strategic where it's walkable to the legendary Sagrada Familia in 10 minutes and very close to the metro station. I would definitely stay at Radisson Blu 1882 hotel again !

Day trip to Barcelona 🇪🇸
#summerdestinations
Just got back from a day trip to Barcelona, and I’m still buzzing from the experience! 🏙️🌞 This city has so much to offer, and one day just doesn’t feel like enough. I started my day at the iconic Sagrada Familia; the entrance fee was around €26, but seeing Gaudí’s masterpiece up close was worth every cent. The stained glass windows inside are absolutely mesmerizing. Next, I headed to Park Güell (entrance fee about €10) to take in the colorful mosaics and get some great views of the city. After a delicious tapas lunch in the Gothic Quarter, I wandered down La Rambla, soaking in the lively street performances and local art. The day wouldn’t have been complete without a quick stop at the beach to dip my toes in the Mediterranean. Barcelona is truly a vibrant mix of culture, art, and sunshine! #trip #Barcelona #SagradaFamilia #Gaudí #TravelSpain #MediterraneanVibes

Plaça Reial: The Beating Heart of Barcelona’s Social Scene
#citydaytours #100WaysofTravel
Tucked just off the bustling Las Ramblas, Plaça Reial (Royal Square) is one of Barcelona’s most iconic and lively public spaces. Known for its stunning architecture, vibrant atmosphere, and rich history, this square is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the city. Here’s what makes Plaça Reial a quintessential Barcelona experience:
1. Architectural Beauty
Plaça Reial is a feast for the eyes, with its neoclassical design that reflects the grandeur of 19th-century Barcelona. The square is framed by elegant, uniform buildings with arched colonnades that house cafes, restaurants, and bars. The facades are adorned with wrought-iron balconies, and the square is lined with tall palm trees that add a touch of tropical charm to the urban landscape. In the center of the square stands the Fountain of the Three Graces, a beautiful piece that serves as a focal point for the space.
2. Gaudí’s Touch
One of the highlights of Plaça Reial is the pair of ornate lampposts designed by a young Antoni Gaudí, who would later become one of the most famous architects in the world. These lampposts, with their distinct design featuring serpentine shapes and helmets, give a glimpse into Gaudí’s early work and hint at the innovative style that would define his later creations, such as the Sagrada Família and Park Güell.
3. A Hub of Social Life
Plaça Reial is not just a beautiful square—it’s also a vibrant social hub. By day, it’s a great spot to relax and people-watch, with locals and tourists alike enjoying the laid-back atmosphere. The square’s many terraces are perfect for sipping a coffee or a glass of wine while soaking in the surroundings. As the sun sets, Plaça Reial transforms into one of Barcelona’s most lively nightlife spots. The square comes alive with music, and the surrounding bars and clubs offer something for everyone, from jazz and flamenco to modern beats.
4. Culinary Delights
Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a fine dining experience, Plaça Reial has plenty of options to satisfy your culinary cravings. The square is home to a variety of restaurants offering everything from traditional Spanish tapas to international cuisine. It’s an ideal place to try local dishes like paella, patatas bravas, or a selection of Iberian hams, all while enjoying the ambiance of one of Barcelona’s most charming squares.

Exploring Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter
#familytravel #100WaysofTravel
Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, or Barri Gòtic, is a captivating neighborhood that transports you back in time. Nestled in the heart of the city, this area is a maze of narrow, winding streets, ancient buildings, and hidden squares that echo with the stories of centuries past. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, an architecture lover, or simply looking to experience the soul of Barcelona, the Gothic Quarter offers an unforgettable journey through the city’s rich heritage. Here’s how to make the most of your visit:
1. Discover the History at Plaça del Rei
Start your exploration at Plaça del Rei, one of the most historically significant squares in Barcelona. Surrounded by medieval buildings, including the Palau Reial Major, this square was once the residence of the Counts of Barcelona. The Gothic architecture here is stunning, and you can almost feel the presence of the past as you stand in the same place where Christopher Columbus was received by King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella upon his return from the New World. Don’t miss the chance to visit the Museu d’Història de Barcelona, located in the square, where you can explore Roman ruins and learn more about the city’s history.
2. Marvel at the Barcelona Cathedral
One of the Gothic Quarter’s most iconic landmarks is the Barcelona Cathedral, officially known as the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia. This stunning example of Gothic architecture features intricate facades, towering spires, and a serene cloister filled with orange trees and a flock of geese. Take your time to explore the interior, where you’ll find beautiful chapels, a grand altar, and the crypt of Saint Eulalia, the city’s co-patron saint. For a panoramic view of the Gothic Quarter and beyond, take the elevator to the rooftop and admire the cityscape from above.
3. Get Lost in the Labyrinth of Streets
One of the best ways to experience the Gothic Quarter is simply to wander its narrow, cobblestone streets. Each alleyway seems to have its own character, with hidden squares, ancient churches, and charming boutiques waiting to be discovered. As you explore, you’ll stumble upon historic sites like the ancient Roman walls, which once encircled the city, and the charming Plaça Sant Felip Neri, a peaceful square with a tragic history from the Spanish Civil War. The labyrinthine nature of the Gothic Quarter invites you to lose yourself in its beauty and uncover its secrets at your own pace.
4. A short walk from Las Ramblas, Plaça Reial is a lively square that offers a perfect spot to relax and soak in the atmosphere of the Gothic Quarter. The square is lined with palm trees, beautiful lampposts designed by a young Antoni Gaudí, and a variety of cafes and restaurants. It’s a great place to take a break, enjoy a coffee or a glass of sangria, and watch the world go by. In the evenings, the square comes alive with music and entertainment, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists.

The Jewel of Catalonia
#100WaysOfTravel
Very few cities can match the quality and variety that Barcelona offers a holiday goer. Barthelona (hehe) is the beating heart of Catalonia and Espania. It is the most perfect destination to visit in summer. With incredible amount of art, architecture, beaches and good food. Barcelona is the ultimate summer paradise!
Remember all those locals protesting over tourism? I hope that worked and next time I visit, there would be less Americans (hehe). Even if not, it won't stop me from going there. Speaking of what to do, mornings are well spent admiring the impressive architecture of Gaudi, and wandering the Gothic Quarter, before heading down to Barcelonetta Beach to laze in the sun and eat ice-cream.
If you can you must catch a football game at Camp Nou Stadium. It is amongst the world's most famous stadium and the atmosphere is electric! Oh and don't forget to hog on delicious Tapas at the Mercardo de La Boqueria, an authentic Spanish market. What a delight!
If you are more of the off the beaten path loving travellers, then during your summer getaway, why not try a stay on a Finca close to Barcelona, for an authentic farm stay experience that you won’t forget. In summer the streets are filled with street performers and good vibes, lined with markets and pop up bars. The best part of Barcelona is that there is something for everyone, and you will never get bored here. It's impossible! It’s the perfect destination for a summer getaway, so waste no time!

Hotel in Barcelona:
This vibrant city will surprise you with a variety for every taste and budget, from hostels to elite offers from the best boutique hotels. We advise you to use only PROVEN resources when searching for a hotel. In Barcelona, there is a lot of deception and fraud associated with tourist apartments on the Internet.
Transport in the city:
The choice is great - metro, buses, trams, taxis and even bicycles are no exception. We recommend purchasing the T-10, a travel card that gives you the right to 10 trips within the central zone (all metro stations are included in it). You can save a significant amount - 1 trip -
2.15€, and 10 - 9.95€.
You can also buy the Barcelona Card or Tourist Card - it is also valid for paying for travel, and will also help you save on excursions, as it gives you the right to discounts in many museums. You can order the card online, then you will receive a 10 percent discount. The cost of the Barcelona Card depends on the number of days.

Gaudí, a man who upholds a city! Barcelona guide
Antoni Gaudí was undoubtedly a madman
I even suspect he was a time traveler🚪
🙏Which one do you love the most, quickly vote, let's worship together🙏
1. Sagrada Familia🕍 Sagrada Familia, a World Heritage site, still unfinished
2. Park Güell, indescribable, a noble castle in the suburbs, the colorful kind.
3. Casa Vicens, many of Gaudí's buildings have an empty middle, interesting❤️🔥.
4. Artigas Gardens, love this one a lot😽😽😽, you can feel animals pouncing unexpectedly, it's both architecture and nature🌊
5. Casa Milà, dare to ask what are these on the roof? There's a sense of power💪, is it Moorish art? Curves, arches, and wildly imaginative forms🤯, seems to be inspiring something in humanity🙄
6. Casa Batlló, the feeling of being completely integrated when viewed from outside🧱 and inside.
7. El Capricho, a perfect Lego block🕌, so is there a matching Lego set🕵🏻♀️
8. Güell Estate Church, religious features➕nature➕lines🥰
PS: Everyone knows where the cover photo is from, right?🤫
It's a bit far to go to 2 and 4, more convenient by car.🚗🚗🚗

Sagrada Familia/A church so beautiful it's dizzying
This is the most magnificent and spectacular church I have ever seen.
Antoni Gaudí's masterpiece - the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia
A gift Gaudí dedicated to God
Gaudí perfectly blended glass, sunlight, and architecture into the light of God, turning the entire church into a paradise on earth
Here, unparalleled creativity fills the space, leaving one in awe of the art, so beautiful it leaves you speechless, so dazzling it makes you dizzy
Construction began in 1832 and has spanned over a century - 141 years in the making and still under construction
The only building to be declared a World Heritage Site before its completion
The completion of its spires will make the Sagrada Familia the tallest church building in the world

🇪🇸Buzzing Barcelona🇪🇸
We visited the vibrant and colorful Fira de Santa Lucia Christmas Market in Gothic Barri. It is the most happening festive market in Barcelona so we had to visit. The most important cathedral- Barcelona Cathedral is right there too so we visited that as well. There are stalls selling lots of items such as Christmas decors, jewelry, candles etc.. Just got the great festive feels when we were here. Easily connected to the other parts of the city and walkable too.Make sure to visit during Christmas💙

Visit the incredible Casa Batllo in Barcelona
This winter, I had the privilege of exploring Casa Batlló in Barcelona, and it left an indelible mark on my travel memories. The chilly air outside only heightened the warmth of the experience within those architecturally enchanting walls. Gazing at the intricacies of Gaudí's design while surrounded by the cozy, festive atmosphere of Barcelona in winter created a truly magical blend. From the captivating play of light on the mosaic tiles to the timeless elegance of each room, my visit to Casa Batlló was a winter journey filled with awe and appreciation for the artistry that defines this iconic landmark.
Next year, I would love to visit budapest.
