🌤️ Visiting Guizhou in September–October is amazing! The summer crowds have left, the autumn rain makes the mountains greener, the Huangguoshu Waterfall is still powerful, the Xiaoqikong scenic area is as blue as a filter, and the lights in Xijiang at night look like stars scattered across the mountain✨. I've been visiting Guizhou every autumn for years. I've written this guide to help you "avoid rushing and pitfalls"—just follow it~ 🍁 What to expect in Guizhou in September–October · September: Daytime temperatures in cities/scenic areas are around 20–26°C. When it rains, it drops to around 18°C, and it's even cooler in the mountains. · October: Mostly 15–22°C. It gets cold in the mornings and evenings around Fanjingshan, Leigongshan, and Zhijindong Cave, so bring a jacket for when the wind picks up. · Key takeaway: The saying "it doesn't stay sunny for three days" isn't a joke. There's plenty of autumn rain, but it's mostly showers, so it won't ruin your trip—just make sure you bring an umbrella. · Pros: Fewer crowds than in summer, hotel rates are better than in August, and the sour soup and rice noodles are at their best. Cons: Lots of winding mountain roads, so don't try to squeeze 4 distant attractions into one day. 🏔️ Choosing attractions by area (don't try to do it all in one trip) Guiyang base + surroundings · Jiaxiu Pavilion: Free night views, and it's very pleasant to catch a breeze by the Nanming River. · Qianlingshan Park: Very cheap admission. When watching the macaques, don't carry plastic bags—the monkeys will snatch them. · Qingyan Ancient Town: The town itself is worth a stroll. Just try a little of the pig's trotters, braised dishes, or rose candy; don't get locked into a bundled ticket. · Huaxi Yelang Valley: A niche stone art park. Admission is 20, and it's surprisingly fun for photos. Anshun waterfall route · Huangguoshu: Includes the Grand Waterfall, Doupotang, and Tianxingqiao. Admission starts at 160, or about 210 with the sightseeing bus bundle. The Water Curtain Cave is slippery when it rains, so put your phone in a waterproof bag. · Dragon Palace: Only consider this if you feel one day at Huangguoshu isn't enough. If it's your first time, prioritize Huangguoshu. Libo Karst · Xiaoqikong: Admission 120. Wolong Pond, the 68-Level Waterfalls, Cuigu, and the Water Forest are all worth it. Entering from the West Gate and exiting from the East Gate saves your legs. Wear non-slip sandals in the Water Forest, not leather shoes. · Maolan: Only go if you love primitive hiking; beginners can skip it. Southeast Guizhou culture · Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village: Admission 90, or about 120 with the sightseeing bus bundle. Just enjoy the night view from the observation deck, the Wind and Rain Bridge, and the old streets. Don't sign up for so-called "low-priced long-table banquets" that end up dragging you to buy silver jewelry. · Zhenyuan Ancient Town: The Wuyang River runs through the town. It's less commercialized than Xijiang. Staying for a night and taking a walk is very relaxing. · Zhaoxing Dong Village: Easy to get to from Congjiang Station. The Drum Towers, Dong songs, and Tang'an Terraced Fields with golden rice in autumn are much more comfortable than crowded spots. Tongren/Bijie add-ons · Fanjingshan: Seeing the Red Clouds Golden Summit depends on luck; the weather at the top is changeable. It's mostly cable car + walking. A windbreaker is a must. Don't force elderly people or children to climb the Golden Summit. · Zhijindong Cave: Admission 110. A solid choice for rainy days since underground caves aren't weather-dependent. · Wanfenglin: In the Xingyi direction. Autumn rice fields + cone-shaped peaks. Admission starts at 70. Cycling around slowly is more comfortable than rushing between attractions. 🚄 Transportation (easiest for independent travelers) · Arrive at Guiyang Longdongbao Airport. You can take the subway or a taxi in the city. If you want to do a loop, stay near Guiyang North Station—it's the most convenient hub for high-speed rail. · Huangguoshu: Guiyang North/Guiyang to Anshun West takes about 30 minutes at the fastest. From Anshun West, transfer to the direct scenic bus or take a taxi to the Huangguoshu Visitor Center. The whole trip takes about 1.5 hours. · Xiaoqikong: Guiyang North to Libo Station takes about 1.5–2.5 hours. From Libo Station, transfer to the direct bus to the West Gate, or take a bus/taxi to the East Gate distribution center. I recommend entering from the West Gate and exiting from the East Gate. · Xijiang: Guiyang North to Kaili South takes about 40 minutes. From Kaili South, transfer to the direct bus/coach to the Xijiang North Gate or West Gate, which takes about 40–60 minutes. If you have a lot of luggage, choose the North Gate—dragging a suitcase up stairs will make you cry. · Fanjingshan: Guiyang to Tongren Station/Tongren South, then transfer toward Jiangkou. The East Gate cable car is the main route. If it's your first time, don't try to force a complex loop yourself. · Driving tips: Guizhou is very mountainous. GPS sometimes loses signal in the mountains. Don't drive on winding mountain roads at night, and slow down when it rains. 🍜 What to eat (avoiding spicy pitfalls) · If you don't want Sour Soup Fish or Sour Soup Beef Offal, choose clear soup. If it's your first time having sour soup, order "mildly spicy." If you have a sensitive stomach, just say "no spice/less sour." · Changwang noodles, beef rice noodles, and lamb rice noodles: Essential for breakfast. Guiyang Old Town, Kaili, and Zunyi all have their own styles. · Siwawa (vegetable rolls): You wrap the vegetables yourself and pour on the sour and spicy sauce. If you don't eat spicy food, ask for a clear soup dipping sauce separately. · Laoguo (griddle pot): Liupanshui/Bijie styles are common. Potatoes, pork belly, and stinky tofu are all delicious. Don't order too much, or it will be too oily. · Qingyan braised pig's trotters, rose candy; try a little Xijiang Miao-style sour soup + glutinous rice wine; check the freshness of Zhenyuan tofu pudding/river fish. · Houttuynia cordata (fish mint) is the soul of the food but also a potential pitfall. If you don't eat it, say in advance: "No fish mint in any dipping sauces." 📅 How to plan a relaxing itinerary 3 days, 2 nights | First-timer's lazy version D1 Guiyang: Jiaxiu Pavilion + Qianlingshan + Qingyun Road/Erqi Road snacks, stay in Guiyang D2 Huangguoshu day trip: Grand Waterfall + Doupotang + Tianxingqiao, return to Guiyang or stay in Anshun D3 Qingyan half-day → return 5 days, 4 nights | Classic, no backtracking D1 Arrive in Guiyang, stroll around the city D2 Full day at Huangguoshu D3 Guiyang → Libo Xiaoqikong, stay in Libo County D4 Libo → Kaili → Xijiang Miao Village, evening night view from the observation deck, stay in the village/Kaili D5 Half day in Xijiang → return to Guiyang 7 days, in-depth | Scenery + culture Guiyang → Huangguoshu → Xiaoqikong → Xijiang → Zhenyuan → Fanjingshan → Guiyang; if you have more time, add in Xingyi Wanfenglin or Zhijindong Cave, but don't add Zhaoxing at the same time, or you'll be exhausted. ⚠️ Pitfalls to avoid (hard-learned lessons) 1. Lots of autumn rain: Bring a folding umbrella, a thin windbreaker, and non-slip shoes. The Water Curtain Cave at Huangguoshu, the Water Forest at Xiaoqikong, and the steps at Fanjingshan are all slippery. 2. Don't just buy the ticket for the Grand Waterfall at Huangguoshu. If it's your first time, buy the bundle that includes the sightseeing bus to save your legs. Enter the park early; tour groups are at their peak at noon. 3. Don't wear white sneakers in the water at Xiaoqikong. The stones in the Water Forest are covered in moss, and it's common to fall and get muddy. 4. When booking accommodation in Xijiang, check the distance to the "North Gate/West Gate/Observation Deck." Dragging luggage uphill will make you collapse. The stilt houses in the village have poor soundproofing, so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. 5. Ask before taking photos in Miao/Dong villages. Don't step on thresholds or touch headpieces. Follow instructions and don't take photos in ritual areas like during the Guzang Festival. 6. Ignore "low-priced chartered cars/free guides/discounted tickets" outside stations. Use official direct buses or book tickets through legitimate platforms. 7. State your tolerance for sour soup, fish mint, and chili paste in advance, or your non-local stomach might be running to the bathroom three times a day. 8. Check the weather before buying cable car tickets/making reservations for Fanjingshan. If it's rainy or foggy, you won't see anything at the top, so don't force the itinerary. 9. Attractions in Guizhou are far apart. Arranging to visit Huangguoshu, Xiaoqikong, and Xijiang in a single day is self-torture. Stick to at most one mountain, one water feature, and one village. 10. Ask if there's an elevator when booking accommodation in mountain areas. If you have to carry luggage up to the third or fourth floor of an old inn without an elevator, you'll really be cursing. Guizhou in September–October doesn't require a "check-in" style rush. Listening to the water at Huangguoshu, seeing the blue at Xiaoqikong, watching the lights at Xijiang, and seeing the river at Zhenyuan, with a bowl of noodles and a sip of sour soup in between—that's the most comfortable way to experience it🍂

800 years of “time amber” free entry! Songs nourish the soul, food nourishes the body, stay in a granary and be healed by Dong songs Ladies, listen up! If your impression of Guizhou is still crowded streets in Qianhu Miao Village, you’re really missing out! This time we’ve uncovered a hidden treasure deep in the mountains — Huanggang Dong Village. It just won the UN “Best Tourism Village” award in 2025, yet it remains untouched by commercialization. The best part — free entry, just 1 hour from Congjiang high-speed rail station, and you can unlock a two-day, one-night healing trip to an “original Dong homeland” on the weekend! 🏮 1. Why is it called the “top secret of Dong villages”? 📍 Shuangjiang Town, Liping County, Qiandongnan, an 800-year-old pure Dong ethnic ancient village. Its greatest charm is how slowly time passes here. Over 300 wooden stilt houses built along the mountain, 5 drum towers standing tall, no inns, no tourist photo shoots, just cats sunbathing on the bluestone paths and elders sitting around the drum towers singing antiphonal songs. 🎵 Songs nourish the soul: Dong grand songs are truly living intangible cultural heritage Huanggang is the “hometown of male Dong grand songs.” The singing here isn’t a performance, it’s life. Locals say “food nourishes the body, songs nourish the soul.” When the lights come on at night, the songs under the drum towers drift like a journey back a thousand years. The village has 12 song troupes, a living national intangible cultural heritage. 🌾 Food nourishes the body: stay in a granary and eat rice field fish There are 309 granaries in the village. The granary guesthouses are converted from traditional granaries, preserving the rice stalk-covered exterior walls and wooden structures, with interiors fitted to modern guesthouse standards. Be sure to try the “rice fish and duck” dishes. The rice field fish is freshly caught and cooked, 30 yuan a bowl, so fresh you’ll lick the bowl. 2. How to get there? Where to stay? Travel guide: Take the high-speed train to “Congjiang Station,” contact the shuttle in advance. There are 2 trips each morning and afternoon, 1 hour direct to the village gate, 25 yuan per person. About 20 minutes by car from Zhaoxing Dong Village, so you can visit both. Recommended stays: Granary guesthouse (mid-mountain with panoramic views, 4.8 rating), Yueyetang Inn (next to the drum tower, friendly owner, 4.5 rating), Huanggang Dong Village countryside guesthouse (owner is a song master, you can listen to grand songs, 4.7 rating). Final thoughts Huanggang Dong Village isn’t a “trendy check-in spot.” It’s 800 years of time amber, a secluded sanctuary raised by songs and the scent of rice. Free entry, accessible by high-speed rail, stay in a granary and listen to grand songs — this kind of relaxed “slow down” feeling can’t be bought in the city! 🏮🎵 Before it gets overcrowded after making the list, while the rice field fish is still fat, ladies, just go for it!

It’s perfect for solo travelers, couples, or small families who love photography and want to escape the city noise to breathe fresh air. 🗺️Itinerary Day 1 Congjiang high-speed rail station → take the direct shuttle to the scenic area → Dangniu viewing platform (for panoramic views and the Lianghua terraces) → Jiaye village (to see the Luosi terraces) → Jiacher Dazhai (stay at a high-altitude guesthouse to watch the sunset) Tip: The shuttle bus in the scenic area allows hop-on hop-off. Be sure to time it right to catch the sunset at Jiacher Dazhai’s viewing platform. The light hitting the golden rice waves is breathtaking. ✨Highlights The terraced fields cover a huge area—over 10,000 mu—with especially graceful lines. The hiking is easy, just follow the road, no steep climbs. The photo spots at Dangniu and Jiacher are especially photogenic. The side backlight around 4 or 5 PM gives the terraces a golden edge. Every shot looks like a masterpiece, no heavy editing needed. 🍜Local specialties Rice flower fish (freshly caught and cooked, tender meat, delicious dipped in chili sauce), glutinous rice cakes (made fresh by Miao grandmas, best eaten hot for a soft, stretchy texture), sour soup beef (tangy and appetizing, paired with local millet chili, one bowl of rice is never enough). 🏨Recommended accommodation 1. Guesthouses near the scenic area: Jiabang Terraced Fields No. 1 Village Guesthouse, located in Jiacher village. Open your window to the whole terraced field, no need to go out in the morning to shoot the sea of clouds. 2. City hotels: All Season Hotel in Congjiang County, convenient transportation, plenty of dining options downstairs, ideal for transfers or travelers catching early trains. 🎒Travel essentials 1. Protection: sunscreen, mosquito repellent 2. Small carry-ons: power bank, lightweight jacket 💡Practical tips 1. The easiest way is to take the high-speed train to Congjiang station, then take the direct shuttle bus to the scenic area. The trip takes about 2 hours, so you don’t have to drive on winding mountain roads. 2. Jiabang terraced fields are most beautiful during the irrigation period from April to May and the harvest season in October. To see the sea of clouds, get up early—chances are highest after rain when the sky clears. 3. The ridges of the terraces can be slippery, especially with morning or evening dew. Wear non-slip shoes and be careful not to step backward while taking photos. 4. When entering Miao villages, respect local customs. Don’t take photos of elders or children without permission. When buying things, it’s okay to bargain a little. Standing on the ridges watching the golden fields, it feels like all the worries in your heart are blown away by the mountain breeze. Life here moves slowly—slow enough to hear your own breath. Next spring during the irrigation period, I want to come back and stay a few days, doing nothing but daydreaming.

Just back from Guizhou, my biggest impression is that Guizhou is perfect for those who love mountains, rivers, and ethnic culture! This is not just about “seeing waterfalls” or “visiting ancient villages.” Surprises await all along the way: the grand Huangguoshu Waterfall, the blue-green lakes of Libo Xiaoqikong, the thousands of lights in Xijiang Miao Village, the sea of clouds on Mount Fanjing, and the stunning karst landscapes of Wanfenglin and Maling River Gorge. However, Guizhou’s attractions are quite spread out, so don’t rush around on your first visit. I’ve organized them into 3 routes: classic mountain and water, ethnic culture, and karst exploration. Choose one based on your time and interests, and just follow it! 🌿 Route 1: classic mountain and water tour Suggested route: Huangguoshu Waterfall → Libo Xiaoqikong → Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village → Zhenyuan Ancient Town → Mount Fanjing For first-time visitors to Guizhou, I highly recommend this route. Start at Huangguoshu Waterfall. Standing on the viewing platform, the sound of the water is truly powerful. During the high-water season, the mist hits your face, giving a real sense of Guizhou’s iconic landscape. Besides the main waterfall, Tianxingqiao and Doupotang are also worth visiting. Next, head to Libo Xiaoqikong. This place offers a completely different kind of gentle beauty. The clear lakes, ancient bridges, waterfalls, forests, and streams combine to feel like stepping into a real-life Wizard of Oz. Then go to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. During the day, explore the alleys and stilted houses. At night, be sure to visit the viewing platform to see the thousands of lights come on. The layered Miao village lighting up is truly breathtaking. After that, visit Zhenyuan Ancient Town. Walk slowly along the Wuyang River, enjoy the ancient alleys by day, and the riverside night views after dark. Finally, plan for Mount Fanjing. When the weather is good, the sea of clouds, red clouds over the golden peak, and mountain trails make for amazing photos. This route is best planned for 5–7 days. It’s ideal for first-time visitors who want to see all the classic sights in one trip. 🏘️ Route 2: ethnic culture tour Suggested route: Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village → Zhaoxing Dong Village → Jiabang Terraces → Langde Upper Village If you prefer villages, culture, and a slower pace, choose this route. Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village is best for an overnight stay. Don’t just check in during the day. Early morning has fewer tourists, and the stone paths, stilted houses, and mountain mist create a special atmosphere. Next, visit Zhaoxing Dong Village. The drum towers, wind and rain bridges, and Dong architecture are very distinctive. It’s less commercialized than some popular spots, making it perfect for a leisurely walk. Jiabang Terraces is one of my favorite stops. The terraced fields spread across the hillside, and when there’s morning mist, it looks like an ink painting. The transportation here is a bit challenging, but the scenery is definitely worth it. Finally, go to Langde Upper Village to experience a more authentic Miao village atmosphere. Compared to popular large attractions, it’s quieter and better suited for those wanting to learn about ethnic culture. This route suits those who love cultural photography, enjoy visiting villages, and don’t want to rush between attractions every day. ⛰️ Route 3: karst exploration tour Suggested route: Zhijin Cave → Zhijin Grand Canyon → Maling River Gorge → Wanfenglin If you love caves, canyons, and peak forest landscapes, this is the route for you. Zhijin Cave is truly impressive. The cave is spacious, with a rich variety of stalactites. The lighting makes it look like an underground palace. It’s cool inside, so bring a light jacket. Next, visit Zhijin Grand Canyon. The combination of canyon, river, and rock walls creates a strong visual impact. Then head to Maling River Gorge. The waterfalls and canyon here are spectacular. Walking on the boardwalk, you’re surrounded by rock walls and the sound of water, making for dramatic photos. Finally, visit Wanfenglin. The peaks stretch endlessly, with farmland and villages intertwined with the peak forest. It’s perfect for cycling or a leisurely walk. The scenery is especially beautiful in the soft light of dusk. This route is better suited for those who enjoy natural wonders, photography, and light hiking. 🍲 Guizhou food recommendations When you come to Guizhou, don’t just enjoy the scenery—its food is a major highlight! Be sure to try sour soup fish, siwawa, spicy intestine noodles, spicy chicken, and love tofu balls. Sour soup fish is tangy and appetizing, with a very fresh broth. Vegetables cooked in it are also delicious. Siwawa is refreshing, but the dipping sauce is what gives it soul. Spicy intestine noodles are perfect for breakfast—fragrant, spicy, and satisfying. Spicy chicken is very flavorful but quite spicy. If you can’t handle spice, ask for less chili in advance. Love tofu balls are crispy outside and tender inside. Dip them in fish mint sauce for a true Guizhou specialty. 🚗 transportation and accommodation tips Guizhou’s attractions are spread out. High-speed trains connect cities conveniently, but many scenic spots require transfers for the last leg. For first-timers, use Guiyang as a transit hub, then follow your route to Anshun, Libo, Qiandongnan, Tongren, or Xingyi. If you’re traveling with a group, renting a car is much more convenient. If your budget is tight, high-speed trains plus direct shuttle buses to scenic spots are a good option. Don’t stay in Guiyang every night. Follow the route instead. For example, on the classic route, stay in Guiyang, Libo, Xijiang, Zhenyuan, or near Tongren to avoid backtracking. ⚠️ my tips to avoid pitfalls Guizhou has many mountain roads and fast-changing weather. Bring an umbrella, lightweight raincoat, non-slip shoes, and a light jacket. Waterfalls, canyons, and ancient town stone paths can be slippery. Don’t wear shoes that are hard to walk in just for photos. Book popular attractions in advance, especially during holidays and summer vacation. Guizhou isn’t suitable for crossing several distant spots in one day. Focus on one key area per day for a more comfortable experience. What I love most about Guizhou isn’t any single attraction, but the moment fog suddenly rises in the mountains, the lights turning on in the Miao village at night, and the satisfaction of the first bite of sour soup fish. Among these three routes, would you rather start by seeing the waterfall at Huangguoshu or spend a night in Xijiang Miao Village?

Hidden in Qiandongnan, this thousand-year-old Miao village is built with layers of stilted wooden houses on the mountainside. The atmosphere from dusk to night is incredible. Here’s a lazy traveler’s route to follow directly. 📍 Simplified Travel Route Scenic Area Entrance Shuttle → Viewing Platform → Ancient Street Wind and Rain Bridge → Terraced Path → Mountain Top Viewing Platform for Night View 📸 Best Spots for Panoramic Atmosphere 1. Daytime full village distant view, a vast area of wooden stilted houses covering the hillside 2. Wide-angle of mountain terraced fields, green fields paired with Miao village houses 3. Full view of Baishui River Wind and Rain Bridge, flowing water and ancient bridge peaceful and healing 4. Distant view of ancient street alleys, wooden buildings and long corridors full of ethnic life vibes 5. Mid-mountain viewing platform daytime panorama, surrounded by mountains and village 6. Twilight gradient sky, houses gradually lighting up 7. Nighttime mountain top panorama, thousands of lights spread across the entire valley 🍲 Miao Specialty Food Sour soup fish, cured meat noodles, glutinous rice, Miao rice wine, affordable and authentic on the ancient street in the scenic area 💡 Travel Tips Tickets include 4 shuttle rides and are a must-buy; go up the mountain at 6 PM to see sunset and night view in one go; bring mosquito repellent as there are many insects in the mountains Black Diamond Release

When it comes to Guizhou, people often think of Huangguoshu Waterfall, Xijiang, and Libo, but the true wonders of this land are hidden in countless lesser-known secret spots. No need to squeeze into crowds or rush to trendy check-in points; only by venturing deep into the mountains and villages can you truly understand how breathtaking Guizhou’s karst landscapes, waterfalls, sea of clouds, and ethnic customs really are. 🚗 Transportation · For travelers from outside the province, prioritize flying to Guiyang Longdongbao Airport or taking the high-speed train directly to Guiyang North for convenient transfers. · For travel within the province, self-driving is recommended. The roads are good and allow flexible access to various off-the-beaten-path spots. · For remote villages, first reach the county town, then hire a car to get there, as public transportation coverage is limited. 🏞️ Must-Visit Spots · Ziyun Getu River An underground river emerges from a cave, with towering cliffs. In the early morning, you can see divine rays of light and even watch free climbers like Spiderman. It’s primitive and majestic, with few tourists and a very strong visual impact. · Weining Zhuofu Grassland A high mountain grassland over 2,000 meters above sea level, featuring fog rainbows, evening glow, and endless flocks of sheep. The wide-open views and the sight of grass swaying with cattle and sheep are both healing and awe-inspiring. · Jiabang Terraces Layer upon layer stretching toward the clouds, reflecting mirror-like light at sunrise and sunset. The lines are stunningly beautiful, more pristine than the famous terraces, and so quiet you only hear the wind and insects. · Yangpidong Waterfall A wild underground river waterfall, roaring with mist and rugged rock walls. No development or entrance fee. The moment you reach it by hiking, you’ll be completely amazed by the raw nature. · Luodian Daxiao Well Emerald water like jade, ancient banyan trees shading the sky, and quiet Buyi villages. The mountain and water scenery rivals Guilin’s, with almost no tourists, allowing you to enjoy the secret beauty alone. 🏡 Accommodation · Village Homestays: Authentic, with mountain views right outside your window, offering a local living experience. · County Town Hotels: Well-equipped, cost-effective, suitable for transit and rest. · Overall prices are budget-friendly, and you don’t have to worry about peak season price hikes in these off-the-beaten-path areas. 🍜 Food · Sour Soup Fish: Fresh and tangy, the soul of authentic Guizhou flavor. · Lamb Rice Noodles: Rich broth and fragrant meat, a breakfast staple. · Buyi Five-Color Glutinous Rice: Soft, sweet, and visually appealing. · Farmhouse Cured Meat and Wild Vegetables: Natural ingredients, simply cooked to delicious perfection. 💣 Tips to Avoid Trouble · Don’t just flock to popular scenic spots; crowded places offer a poorer experience. Lesser-known spots have purer scenery. · Be cautious of slippery terrain when hiking to wild waterfalls and deep mountains; avoid going alone during the rainy season. · Be wary of overpriced souvenirs in scenic areas; county town markets are more affordable. · Respect ethnic minority customs; do not take photos of villagers or ritual sites without permission. · Signal is weak at off-the-beaten-path spots; download offline maps in advance and bring enough supplies. 💡 Little Tips 1. Guizhou has a big temperature difference between day and night, so always carry a light jacket. 2. The mountainous area is rainy; bring rain gear. The sea of clouds is even more spectacular after rain. 3. Many off-the-beaten-path spots are undeveloped, so bring your own water and snacks. 4. Slow down your itinerary; Guizhou is best experienced deeply, not rushed. 5. Protect the natural environment by carrying out your trash and preserving the pristine beauty.
