Casa Mila - Gaudi's Architectural Marvel

Casa Mila, also known as La Pedrera, is the last private residence designed by Antoni Gaudi. Originally built for the wealthy Mila family, it derives its name from them. 🏠 Explore Casa Mila with an audio guide that explains the significance and history of each space, including the courtyard, hall, and rooftop. Despite the breathtaking views, the large number of visitors can make the experience feel cramped and dizzying at times. 🥲 What impressed me the most was that the third to sixth floors are rented out as apartments. It's fascinating how the wealthy think differently, even renting out their own living spaces. The highlight was reaching the rooftop, where numerous peculiar stone sculptures resembling toes, toenails, and warriors can be seen. The new railings make photography a bit challenging and differ slightly from Gaudi's original design. Nonetheless, I am in awe of Gaudi's design talent and truly appreciate his aesthetic sense. ✨
