A Relaxing 3-Day, 2-Night Early Summer Trip to Beihai

🚗 Self-drive from Guilin to Beihai 🏠 Beihai Yintan Mo Yuan (a bit pricey, but excellent service) 🦞 Haixin Rong Market (buy ingredients and cook at the homestay, cost-effective👍🏻), Qiaogang Style Street (not much good food, long queues) Preface: Reject❌ the exhausting special forces style, aim for a relaxing trip. Book homestays in advance🏠, definitely rent an electric scooter🛵, don't forget sunscreen🌞, don't buy souvenirs at tourist spots💍, they're too expensive, and avoid eating at seafood stalls🦑, it's easy to get ripped off. Day1: Depart from Guilin, arrive in Beihai in the afternoon, check into the homestay, walk to Yintan Beach, find it's quite far, so decisively go back to rent an electric scooter at the homestay. (Scooter🛵 price: half-day 30, full day 50, return before 11 pm, we rented for a day and a half for a total of 70) Yintan Beach is truly worth it, the sand is white and soft, but there are really a lot of people, it's hard to find a good spot for photos at any time😭, so we hardly took any good pictures. In the evening, ride to Qiaogang Style Street, had two cups of Ye Ye Da Ji (tastes good, photogenic), and casually ordered two servings of crab powder (average taste). Day2: Get up early, have a bowl of noodles at the homestay, ride half an hour to Guantouling Sun Never Sets Sea, or navigate to the Sheraton Hotel, follow the crowd to the beach, the scenery here has a Mediterranean style, and there are much fewer people, no need to wait for photos! The better spots to take photos are the sunset bar, beach rocks, and two white buildings, very European, very photogenic! On the way back from Guantouling, pass through Liuxia Village, a very Korean-style village, lots of pretty girls, casually taking photos feels very petty bourgeois, pineapple cakes and coconut water are super refreshing, and the prices are reasonable! After 3 pm, the homestay owner recommended going to Haixin Rong Market and Guiyang Market, we went to the closer Haixin Rong, bought mantis shrimp, whelks, tiger prawns, swimmer crabs, scallops, highly recommend the whelks and tiger prawns! The ingredients cost a total of 200, and the homestay charged 100 for processing. As someone who doesn't know how to choose seafood, the owner also recommended popular seafood products, and the homestay recommended tasty cooking methods😋 Day3: Sleep in until naturally waking up, deliberately navigated a scenic coastal route for the return trip. With the purpose of relaxation, the itinerary was arranged to be quite leisurely, didn't have time to visit Weizhou Island, Jintan, mangrove forest sea foraging, or Zixia Bay Beach, will explore new places next time🗺️
