Shy glaciers of Glacier Natl Park 🙈
Hiking the Great Glacier Trail in Glacier National Park, BC, was an awe-inspiring adventure filled with breathtaking views and serene wilderness. We started at the Glacier National Park Visitor Centre, where we bought our park passes for our visit to the park. Then we drove down to the parking lot along the highway, near Illecillewaet Campground, where we started our hike.
The trail winded through lush forests, across babbling streams, and up rugged terrain, offering a variety of landscapes to explore. As I ascended, the vistas became increasingly spectacular, culminating in panoramic views of towering glaciers and jagged peaks.
The trail's last section proved to the be the most challenging as it was the steepest. But all these added to the sense of accomplishment when we saw glimpses of the (shy) glaciers that have hidden behind fog and clouds.
The Great Glacier Trail truly showcases the raw beauty and majesty of British Columbia's natural landscapes, and I would recommend it to all nature lovers 🍀.

I want to travel to Hong Kong to experience its vibrant city life, delicious cuisine, and breathtaking skyline. From bustling street markets like the Ladies Market, to traditional temples like Man Mo temple, Hong Kong offers a perfect blend of culture, history, and modernity.
Rocky Mountain Water | Emerald Lake.
Emerald Lake is the most famous attraction in Yoho National Park, Canada. Although it is only about half an hour's drive from Lake Louise, it has already crossed from Alberta to BC.
Parking spaces are hard to find at popular attractions. If you see a parking space on the side of the road, park your car immediately. Don't expect to find a parking space in the parking lot. The parking lot is basically occupied by tour buses and RVs.
Emerald Lake is also emerald green, but it is a bit different from the green of Moraine Lake. Moraine Lake is green and transparent, and the green of Emerald Lake has a bit of milky white in it, as if milk was poured into the water. Speaking of it, the water of Kicking Horse in YOHO is also milky white. It is estimated that the water is rich in white minerals, calcium?
Cross the parking lot, cross the bridge and there is a restaurant, Cilantro On The Lake. In addition to meals, it also offers a lot of cocktails, which are colorful and look good. I didn't go to taste it because I was driving and my stomach was not feeling well recently. Next time, I will wait for a position on the lakeside terrace and order a cocktail to try. However, it is estimated that the terrace position is not easy to wait for. Several couples in front of me heard that there was no terrace position and turned around and left.
It is 5 kilometers to walk around the lake, or you can rent a boat to row around. The boat rental here is much cheaper than Moraine Lake, 100 per hour.
The trail head to Hamilton Falls is a bit south of the parking lot. When I went in August, a big tree fell on the road and blocked the road. I had to walk around in the woods. Apart from this, the trail is still in good condition. If you only go to the waterfall, the road is quite close, and it is less than two kilometers back and forth. The waterfall is average and not spectacular. This trail can continue to go up, go to Hamilton Lake, the round trip is almost 10 kilometers, it takes almost 5 hours to walk, come over early next time, you can walk this trail.
Tips:
1. Parking: parking lot + roadside parking, the parking lot is very small, just park directly on the roadside
2. Bathroom: There are multiple
3. Dining: Cilantro On The Lake
4. Accommodation: Emerald Lake Lodge, the price is quite expensive during the peak season,
5. Play: boating (boat rental, 100 per hour), hiking
Stunning Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park
Parking is limited so better be there early although you can still park a lil further.
The trail takes about two hours. Start from the left would be nicer since you can view the whole lake.

Emerald Lake, Yoho British Columbia 🇨🇦
#wheretogo
Emerald Lake, one of my absolute favourite lakes in the world, is located in Yoho National Park, British Columbia, Canada.
This freshwater lake has a beautiful bluish-green colour that’s absolutely mesmerizing. When I saw it in person, it completely took my breath away. The word “scenic” doesn’t even begin to describe this attraction sufficiently.
It was my first time visiting, and I cannot recommend it more - a truly spectacular experience!
My rating of this attraction: 5 ⭐️ out of 5!
Natural Bridge winter vs summer
Didnt expect to be visiting the same place over 2 seasons, and captured photos from the same spot. Winter vs summer - same same but different.

Glacier National Park
Drive through the Canadian Rockies and appreciate the beauty of different national parks. There are tranquil ones like water, and there are rushing ones. And then there's the pristine beauty of Glacier National Park...
All the way rushing here, Glacier Park is getting closer and closer, and the snow-capped mountains are getting clearer. After arriving at the park, transfer to a big-footed bike, feel the wind of the glacier, the beauty of the ice field, and the flowing water in the crevices of the glacier, which is as green as jade.
♥Glacier National Park is located at the border of British Columbia and Alberta in Canada and the United States. The Rocky Mountains, known as the "continental divide" in North America, run through the center of the park from north to south. It is a great garden of unique species in North America, with over a thousand kinds of trees, flowers and plants. On the relatively dry eastern slopes, Engelmann spruce, subalpine fir, lodgepole pine, ponderosa pine and western white pine stand tall and straight. On the warmer and more humid western slopes, the park is covered with dense and lush larch, fir and spruce. There are also many kinds of animals in the park, such as bighorn sheep, mountain lions, coyotes, lynx, elk, moose, black bears, grizzly bears, white-tailed deer, and so on.
Hiking to Lake O'Hara
#gohiking
Lake O’Hara is in Yoho National Park which is close to the BC-Alberta Border as well as Lake Louise and Banff National Park.
From the parking lot, Lake O’Hara is a 22km (13.7 mile) round-trip hike up a wide gravel road with most people getting to the lake and the Lake O’Hara campground via bus. However this road is close during certain period only walking is permissible.
Getting There - We drove from Calgary AB.

Emerald Lake and Ancient Wooden Bridge
Some people say that Banff's Emerald Lake is the most beautiful, in fact, each has its own characteristics.
The characteristic of Emerald Lake is that the lake must first pass through a wooden bridge. This quaint wooden bridge is the most unique among all the lakes in the Rocky Mountains. Tourists have stood here to take photos with Emerald Lake.
This ancient bridge has been around for a few years. The paranoid Canadians are still not using the early one-way street. In fact, the bridge currently only allows the resort ferry in Huzhong Island to pass slowly. The private car can only be parked in the far parking lot by shuttle bus. This bit of protection of the natural heritage is awe-inspiring.
The Emerald Lake seen by the bridge is calm and there is no ripple. The water reflects the snow peaks of the forest. The bright colors hit your vision and feel "really like fake". Emerald Lake is precisely the largest lake in the "Yose National Park" connected to Banff, with an area of more than one square kilometer, formed more than 10,000 years ago. Standing on one side of the lake, I clearly saw that the landslide caused by the avalanche caused the forest to be cut down, and the pile of warm wood in front of the dwelling made me feel the coldness of the earth.
Banff Lake is more than confused; Banff Lake is beautiful, beautifully messed up.
Youhe Forest Park This lake is very beautiful. The lake is as famous as the Emerald Lake. There is a chalet-style resort hotel by the lake, which is also difficult to book. I came here early in the morning, there are not many tourists, very quiet. My Korean friend told me that he had been to the lake 20 years ago. There is a wooden house cafe by the lake. Let me see if I am still there. I went too early, and the cafe didn't open yet. A half circle along the lake, a narrow road around the lake, encountering the same walkers, they will greet "good morning" when they pass by.
I have to say that the name of Emerald Lake is quite apt, and the green and clear lake is difficult to hide even on cloudy days. We came back and forth twice, the first cloudy day was calm, the second time the sun was shining but the wind was strong, compared to the calm water surface.
Here's recommend a lakeside hotel, Emerald Lake Lodge Emerald Lake Lodge, which is part of the wooden house underneath the green trees on the right. Its beautiful to see the lake by the window. It is really the best place to stay in the travel life.
